Ok House & Garden you have made my year! I have been looking for more inspiration for my new home---beyond the cookie-cutter blandness I constantly see both on RUclips and in real life---and this is IT! Thank you!
Some wonderful ideas. The green tiles in the shower are gorgeous. The roof terrace is fantastic with the wild flowers & table. Would happily sit there for hours come rain or shine ✨
I like the fireplace, I like how she finds a place for things in a way that you can enjoy them and they don’t get lost amidst other stuff. I love the wallpaper in the bathroom too.
0:45-- ah that sideboard and those lamps, love them! I also love porcelain botanical sculptures and copper & wire ones (other materials are used too) but they are prohibitively expensive for me at the moment so lamps like that if you can find them are a beautiful alternative. Edit: OH. MY. GOD. I just saw her candelabra on the mantelpiece at 1:18. Those lilac candles are PERFECT with it. What a heavenly find.
Very odd way of showing an interior designed house. I have no idea how a room looked as a cohesive whole with all the wonderful objects... felt more like it was Pinterest images rushing through the video while a commentary was on!

This is true. But for some preferences, the place is too cluttered. For myself-- and yourself too I'm guessing-- it's a charming home full of character and idiosyncrasy.
Finally a cool British home without 1000 different patterns/florals on the waĺls and textiles. Nothing against those of course , but they re so prevalent in British design. I've seen too many of them.
Oh you just made me flashback to Linda Rodin's apartment's kitchen. I thought the same thing you did about Goad's table when I saw Rodin's kitchen: there is NO WAY she could cook anything in there: the clutter is EPIC. Extremely beautiful and fun but not usable surely? Try and find photos or a video. Oh darling, you'll have a real fit if Matilda Goad's unusable coffee table prompted your disapproval. You have been warned! LOL :D Have a great day.
CiganyWeaver and her periwinklebluespacecaravan Rodin clearly doesn’t cook in her kitchen but guess what, she’s the one living there. I do not understand the hate & going so far as to suggest someone go out of their way to find the video so they too can be appalled🙄Different strokes for different folks..if it’s not your thing..keep it movin’ no need to spread negativity.
@@sweetpeace5 Oh you read such a hateful tone into a playfully delivered comment. I assure you no "hate" was there. Which is why there was a big happy smiley face and the jokey ending comment of 'you have been warned!' with a big belly laugh in the form of an 'LOL'. You took all of it far too seriously. This happens far too frequently online where the tone in the delivery is absent and even other grammatical clues which are included by way of compensation & assistance just don't work effectively in some readings. We're all interior decor fans here in the comments and so love to look at all sorts of unusual wonderful and eccentric homes. Linda Rodin's taste suits mine very well, she's so chic in person and in her natural habitat. Her home is absolutely stunning, especially her miraculously cluttered kitchen which I get such a kick out of even thinking about. She doesn't cook in her kitchen you also assume, but what if we're both wrong? Ah the plot thickens, LOL. Hope that you have a terrific day! :)
If a young person has a house like this we all ooh and aww and say what unique taste. If we walk into grandma's house and it looks like this we send her to a nursing home

@@rmonson5002 Well i was born in 91, but being in the scouts for many years i know hostel interior quite well. There's just not enough character in design anymore.
Nothing exciting here. Doesn't take great skill to put a few potted plants on your terrace and the fact that the cameraman was asked to do only MCU and CUs suggest that the house is quite lack lustre.
@@healingypsy yes she’s definitely not middle class. She grew up on her family’s country estate in West Sussex which has been in her family since the 1690s. So she’s very posh.
I LOVE this house and her style. Matilda simply MUST put together a design book. I’d be first in line to buy it.
You can tell that space really reflects her personality, cheerful and quirky in the best possible way.
3:32 FYI those are not botanical prints but dried plant and flower specimens from an herbarium.
Love everything in this house, it's just gorgeous! And, I love her shoes/slides.

Love the soft blue colour with that punch of red!
Green tiles in the bathroom looked good the cane bed and the rooftop terrace great selection of flowers
I'm sorry, but that roof top garden!! 🥰 Amazing..
Why apologise?

One would never get bored in this house!
Love the wallpaper on the stairs! I would like to have seen the actual rooms in the flat rather than just the prints and accessories.

The wallpaper she has in the bathroom! I bet she has a cheerful personality.
this pale green cascade picture on the wall is absolutely stunning....❤❤
An interesting and beautiful interior and the roof planting is spectacular.
The OUTSIDE ♥️♥️♥️♥️😱😱😱😍😍😍😍🤩 And the shell wall lamps for the win 🙌🏾
The pressed flowers and plants are the nicest thing about the flat.

Love the rooftop - use of wallpaper and color is fun ❤️👏👍
I’m just seeing stuff I’m not seeing what the rooms actually look like. Cameraman needs to pull back a bit
This is true. I couldn't tell you what a single room there looks like, only what a chair, wall detail, window or shelf looks like. Very peculiar.

Chuck Ozonoff blue
I Like her style it Doesn't look cluttered like other designers. 👍👍
Beautiful style ❤️ love the wallpaper 💚
Absolutely love this....
I live how she looks at a real pressed plant & calls it a ‘print’
You have a butter dish on your coffee table exactly like mine🤗. Now I'm going to enjoy your video.
Love everything!
She’s cool!
So beautiful!!! ❤️
Individually but all together is quite much for eye to take in IMO. But then again I can’t see the overall room for example.
Fun details, Matilda! I have a couple of shell dishes you need in your life.

What's the name of the strawberry wallpaper
Please list the garden plants.
Hi, anyone knows where the the strawberry wallpaper from please?
Merci
Awesome
Stop it with the "too cluttered" thing people. There isn't a right way to design and decor, only preferences
This is true. But for some preferences, the place is too cluttered. For myself-- and yourself too I'm guessing-- it's a charming home full of character and idiosyncrasy.
Art is subjective. Design is not.
What blue is this pls??
what are those plants with the white and purple flowers called? the ones on her roof?
The purple looks like verbena bonarensis. The white looks like gaura.
The dots are nice, be nice to the ones who are admiring the picture, the color is interesting but don't infer anything. 😄🙂
You are a good designer. I like you and am interested. Can you guide me?

Some beautiful pieces and wallpapers etc, but what a mishmash, no theme, bit of a shame as it would have been quite expensive to. put together

That black panel was awful, it looked like a youth hostel from the 1970s, I can nearly smell the feet.
Hahaha! That is hilarious! But I guess considering the 1970's are ANCIENT history to her she couldn't possibly know that. But I get it.

It must be nice to be posh and not have to work to get the money.
Ease off on that poncie way of speaking. It's overdone.

Ode to Clutter. Forgot about the husband - wonder how he really feels about all the girly stuff. Not even cute, junk-cletic.
