Sarah Jane talks power with Paula Calvo

(Maria) Paula Calvo is a seasoned business professional with extensive financial services, banking and insurance industry experience. She has worked internationally at Senior Management levels as an integral member for several global institutions with cross-functional and business management accountability, providing strategic direction and effective execution of business plans.
Paula is passionate about building diverse teams, being a catalyst for change and driving revenues through visionary companies and has had the blessing of working for a wide variety of companies, from small start-ups to global Fortune 100 companies, helping create an impactful vision for the future.
We talked about realizing that English is just a tool. Having influence comes from what you transmit on a deep level. Cultivating self-confidence - which comes from deep self-knowledge. She shares her early years - the shy Paula - and how she helped herself to grow and overcome her fears. We talk about Paula’s experience of often being the only woman in the room.
