      5:2 worked great for me. I wouldn't say I'm low carb, but definitely tried to eat mostly healthy overall: Normal breakfast small omelet with veggies or no added sugar yogurt with fruit and rolled oats, normal lunch a mix of 4 beans, tofu, and veggies like broccoli, sweet potato, pumpkin or avocado. I don't choose dinner but usually it's not too bad and contains a relatively lean protein and veggies

      Every girlfriend I have ever had will freak out cause they are losing weight and not hungry. I tell them. When your with me how often do we eat fast food or heat and eat food and they say never. Then they say well I only eat fast food 2 or 3 times a day a week. That’s all it takes but I knew that they were eating it 6 or 7 a week. Fast food has zero nutritional value. Full of bad sodium and sweetener and something else that will make you crave it just like energy drinks and diet drinks.

      As a wellness expert who worked with thousands of people that experienced a cardiac event, end stage lung condition, high risk of thrombosis and or diabetes. As such I’ve got some opinions. One that I particularly like is “nothings off limits but it’s all about how much and how often”. This addresses the dietary approaches most folks need to consistently stay a healthy weight. Often if one can attain a healthy weight/BMI, this may offset further damage or complications of all of the most common lifestyle diseases. 👩‍⚕️ nurse Simone.

      These comments are only great for those commenting. People who have MTHFR, PCOS, OSA, are Insulin resistant, high ferritin levels, NAFLD cannot easily lose weight without intervention. There is so much to educate one’s self on regarding weight loss.

    • @SweetSassyBull
      @SweetSassyBull 2 месяца назад +4

      @@CB-bl7beThe biggest intervention for all of these is a very very low carb diet. PCOS for example cannot be cured according to "the experts" so medication would only fix excess hair issues etc. A diet with almost no carbs would without a doubt get rid of PCOS. We were told that diabetes couldn't be cured until a few years ago. Truth is it can be cured in a matter of weeks. As someone who ate too many carbs I found that eating 30g for breakfast stopped hunger, fatigue etc. It then becomes easy to avoid them. Your body quickly stops wanting sugar and carbs. Also, please look up the long term side effects of Ozempic, there are many (and nasty ones).

    Yes, my Dr put me on it even though I wasn't extremely overweight i tried it for 2 1/2 months. First two months on lowest dose the first two days of each week/ injection, I was sick as a dog. She upped me to the next dosage and I couldn't stop throwing up for 3 days straight. I did this for two weeks which is two doses and I threw the rest out. I lost about 25 lbs myself I had lost only 6 lbs total after all that and I made some major changes like only organic when possible which is about 80-90% of my diet and I chose quality over quantity. I slip up once in a while which is easy to do when you live with other people but I usually shop and cook for myself so I don't have that temptation as often. It's not easy but overall I'm satisfied with how I'm doing and this is what I plan on doing unless they ruin organic foods too then we'll all be eating bugs 🙄

    I have lost 135 lbs. since starting Ozempic. I have type II diabetes and was having no luck losing weight. I am now under 300 lbs. for the first time in over 25 years. This after dietitians, trainers, and doctors, were confused by my persistent weight (I gained while on steroids for an unrelated condition). Once diagnosed with diabetes, no one considered the original cause of the weight gain. The label was more important than the cause. Being heavy was humiliating. People assume they know your story and why you are "Fat". Try eating a diet that restricts you to 15 grams of carbohydrates per day because that is what it took to even get the needle on the scale to budge. That is like a quarter of an apple, less than half a potato, a slice of bread. Heaven forbid you should eat any fruit under those restrictions. Thank God, I don't like candy. It is a miserable existence. Ozempic has helped with my diabetes, but has seriously helped with my weight. I still walk and do yard work, but I just look better doing it.

The visual field defect usually occurs in the bottom half of your eye and it will look like there is a curtain or dark area blocking your vision. Blurred vision and double vision does happen in NAION patients but it is normally happening after the initial loss of vision. I have NAION of unknown cause (non diabetic, never taken the shots, etc.). I woke up one day partially blind and there is no cure or treatment. So I urge everyone to please consider this risk.

    I would’ve loved to been able to take something to help me lose weight. But…. experience from early in my life tells me that using something, any chemical or device to lose weight, although initially it works, it comes back. I am a type to diabetic so medications are available to me.
    It took me the better part of a year to takeoff about 70 pounds of weight. I watched every calorie I took in, and every calorie that went out out. The basic rule. "Eat 500 cal a day less than you burn" . Weight measurement was not daily but weekly at the same time under the same conditions. Twice a month, for one hour, I could eat anything I wanted…. Up to an including two or three donuts if that’s what I want. I could eat an 8 - 16 ounce steak. It never affected my weight. I found this interesting. Although, the longer I was on my diet the less I could splurge on on my splurge day. There was no way I could get a large steak in my stomach. I could not finish a 6 ounce steak a 16 ounce steak.
    One thing crucial that I changed, I had a Fitbit that I used to measure my calories both in and out. I used the scale to wait everything. Plus because it’s easier to compute I used Grams. if I had a piece of chicken, I’d wait before I ate, and I would weigh it after I ate what was left. I had every day 2 ounces of olive oil. I will make sure I had fat in my diet. I never hit a plateau. I did find I had to exercise more and more to maintain my weight loss. 3500 cal equals 1 pound. My goal was 1 pound a week. Obviously, I did better than that. This was due to the fact that I often burn more calories. Walking to work & home, really helped.
    I have kept the weight off. I expected to gain 5 to 10 pounds after I went off the diet. I did. Over the past two years I’ve maintained my weight, and I have been losing approximately 1/2 to 1 pounds a month. I’ve lost that 10 pounds gained. And it’s staying off. What I have to do is create a new diet to live by after I went off my weight loss diet. You could never return to eating the way you want to…. Unless you wanna work out an awful lot.
    I am now on the process of reconstruction (I had a mastectomy five years ago), and they have the extra flesh removed. my plastic surgeon said he highly approves of the fact that I waited so long. Most people don’t. When you have stabilized for a period of time, and then get the flesh removed, is the best time because it is rare for the person to get fat again. I truly got the impression, that people such as myself, are the type of people he likes to work on. This is because years later you will still be able to see his good work, whereas other people do not take care of themselves and you’ll never know that they actually had plastic surgery to have fat and loose skin removed. Having fat removed doesn’t work for most people, because they will not change their life style.

Why cant the governents do something with the food industry , put an extra inviromental tax on obeesity , give lover health cost to healty people and in norway where we have universal health care , lover tax for being healty !! But no no letts give the ignorant more «medizine they do not need insted of dioing something with the maint problem , a colective and personal eating dissorder 🤮

      Like you just said, they are ruining the food ( grew up 70's & 80's was thin until my 40's & after yrs Health issues slowly gained weight (add metabolic disorder,, diabetes ETC,) slowly gaining weight for years, can't just lose it ( not everyone who's over weight eats a lot ! ( I have never been over eater, didn't eat sweets even as a kid ( taught my kids not too). In fact you can mess up metabolism from not eating enough !
      & ( I don't mean an eating disorder either). As you said our food is not right, other Countries protect their foods better.
      How would it be fair to charge more taxes & give less health care to poor people who they already make sick with g m o foods full of bad additives & Poison water w/so called "Fluoride" .
