    Thank you. I would like to say thank you to you for making such wonderful videos and taking me back to my childhood. I remember searching for snakes from a very young age on the 118 Acres that my father owned from grass snakes garter snakes pine snakes and so on right here in Central Wisconsin. I have fallen in love with your Channel you do such an awesome job with this channel you take me back to my childhood as I had said. I enjoy the way that you show the snakes and you show how you hunt for them and you show how exciting it can be to go looking for snakes and other reptiles and amphibians so many wonderful memories this brings back. I really like the fact that every time you catch a snake you put the name of this thing and whether it venomous or not. And I truly love the way that you just go out and look and you try to educate people but you're not so arrogant about it like you know everything. Thank you for a wonderful Channel and bringing back so many wonderful memories

    I've been bit by 11 venomous snakes, most of them being copperhead but I was in the hospital for 16 weeks from 4 baby moccasins clung to my left leg as I waded in the water to catch a largemouth that tangled itself in a bunch of mangrove roots across from where I was casting. We were in a swamp in Florida in Arcadia. We parked in the back of the rear lot at a Walmart distribution center. I was choppered to Charlotte Regional Hospital in Port Charlotte, Florida. 6 copperheads n a rattler while hunting rattlesnakes to eat in Arizona. Then there were the 7 spiders, 4 Black widows n 3 Recluses but that's another 7 stories.

    I just recently subscribed to your channel. I wanted to take the time to say thank you for your videos. I was irrationally terrified of snakes. My son someday would like to have a pet snake. He is not old enough yet to practice to good husbandry. So it would be awhile if we decided to I have been researching it. I figured he should not be deprived of having such a pet because my irrational fears. Watching pet snake owners you can in to my recommended. I was so scared of snakes that it would cause me great anxiety to go out side at night and in shed. If I saw them I would ask my husband to kill them. Well since watching you videos I know my fear is crazy. I now tell him not to kill them and encourage other people to let them live. Although I probably wont be flipping anytime soon. But I may help them if I see them in the road so they dont get hit. I am from SC if your ever in my area you welcome to come flip in my yard. We have a pond and some different wood piles you will probably find them in. I see a black one in the shed from time to time and I am no longer afraid. I see it in the rafters. Thank you again.

      Not sure what area you are in but absolutely seems like there numbers are on the rise in Georgia. Been finding snakes and saving them from neighbors who fear them since I was 8. I have seen more in the last 4 or 5 years then I saw in the previous 15 plus years. My dad is a Veterinarian and has seen an uptick in copperhead bites as well.

    • @Canebrake069
      @Canebrake069 3 года назад

      @@WbrookS-jm2bj Has there been an uptick in the population growing around you with a lot of new residential developments popping up everywhere in the last few years? If so that’s probably why, they may be adapting to their new man made habitat increasing more frequent encounters with people & pets.

    • @WbrookS-jm2bj
      @WbrookS-jm2bj 3 года назад

      @@Canebrake069 The area I'm in has been pretty static within a 10 to 12 mile radius for 20 plus years but I had considered that. Another possibility being that King snakes seem less common. Unfortunately many people I speak to believe black snakes are dangerous or venomous. They are more often spotted and killed. I'm sure there are a number of factors involved and new development is involved. I worked with a herpatologist as a teen, have a degree in wildlife management and my dad is a Veterinarian so I am always paying attention to the animals I share territory with lol. By the way I like the name. I lived in south Georgia for years and miss seeing Timbers. One of my favorites.
