@@jimmieburleigh9549 you know, it’s funny you said that. Because it was just this past fall I was talking with my father about how I could swear I remember seeing something like that on RUclips. And I tried looking it up to get reacquainted with the tool. But I couldn’t seem to find it the only thing I could find was a post sharpener for fence rails. Kind of like Morrison Tennant joinery type of application.
@@lifeonmttammanyridge2565 they make smaller ones to do head boards and bed frames and one to do chairs and of course one with fence post. One is like a round joint set up and post square or rounds can go far as a pencil point

They do make a conical power tool to do that to sharpen round/square post. Have you looked into that by chance??

I would actually prefer to have a round pencil like tip. Because it would prevent the post from wanting to rotate when it hits debris in the ground.
