  • "She shot him and said, 'Now you need an ambulance.'" On cross-examination, things get tense between the witness and the defense attorney.

      i disagree.
she for some reason, is talking to defense's attorney during cross examination to make the defendant look as bad as possible.
she doesn't seem non-biased at all. its clear that she wants the defendant to go to prison and she will fight the defense's attorney on any question that helps the defendant.
      - for example, she refuses to answer a simple question "is it possible for a car to drive up on that curb?"
      - a very simple question, but she refuses to answer it because it would help the defendant.
someone who oozes honesty and truth in a courtroom is someone who can try to be as unbiased as possible and also, someone who is willing to assume that the defendant is innocent until proven guilty.

He did cause an accident and left the scene. Had he not died the way he did, you would be calling him a criminal. Because he was. Now, that doesn’t mean she’s innocent of what she is being accused. She didn’t have to follow and could’ve left it alone after she got the plate number. But she kept following, cut him off and confronted him with a gun. She got herself where she is. However, the video doesn’t show her pulling the trigger since shes facing the deceased and not the camera and even witnesses say they didn’t see her shooting, they only heard the gunshot. She could be telling the truth about him being the one who pulled the trigger while trying to disarm her. The law says people are innocent until proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt. They can’t prove she murdered him. She should’ve gotten manslaughter or somewhere around the line. Not murdered.

    • @PhobicEra

Never mind, I just got to the part where the witness says he didn’t grab the gun. I just knew about the witness who called 911 but didn’t see where she shot him and another witness who said they heard a gunshot but didn’t see when she shot him. But still, he was a criminal.

This is what happens when people decide to do the opposite of what they were told by the 911 operator. Ahmaud Arbery another person who was murdered by over zealous White People in GA who took the law into their own hands and ended up behind bars for life. It's never a good idea for individuals to confront others about incidents that don't have anything to do with them ,then claim to be the victim when things go bad. Hannah Payne is a great example of a Karen 😭🤣. All she had to do was take a picture of the guy's tags and give them to 911, instead she ended up killing him and probably will spend half of her life behind bars. Just saying! 😏

I just listened to the 911 call Hannah made and all I hear is “ I’m gonna take matters into my own hands.” The dispatch directly told her not to follow the man. Proceeded to follow him. The dispatch said to go back to the location where the accident happened. She proceeded to get out and start a fight and then shoot the man. and then demanded that the dispatcher tell the police to come to her “immediately.” MIND YOU…. The car accident that happened didn’t even involve her. She just wanted to be nosey.

I believe the manner of questioning facilitated incriminating facts to be shared repeatedly with identical wording. This served to reinforce for the jury what a consistent, reliable witness this was. If the prosecution had continually objected her clarity and conviction may not have been as thoroughly displayed.
Given the varying accounts from witnesses of what transpired I think this display was critically important for the jury to see and hear. It was clear the defence was working hard to put words in the mouth of the witness to trip her up, thereby establishing reasonable doubt. This witness was not willing to budge and intimidation was impossible. Kudos to the prosecution for excellent prep with this witness and for trusting that she could hold her own.
While it may be distasteful, the defence attorney was doing his job. His only duty is to cause reasonable doubt by any legal means possible. In this particular incident there were no others to name as the shooter so other avenues had to be explored to prevent the jury from determining guilt.
What I find most distasteful about this defence attorney is his clear contempt for the rulings of the judge that he disagreed with. From eye rolls to sucking in his breath, he was fortunate to be before that particular judge. I have seen others who are willing to call out an attorney for their disrespect or hold them in contempt if the behaviours continue after correction. His lack of professionalism was astounding. It is expected that attorneys will disagree with rulings but the time for expressing dissatisfaction, physically or verbally, is outside the courtroom and most certainly outside the view of the jury. Be safe!
