Saw them live 4 days ago and boy do they know how to put on a show! Proof that they do not record anything that they can’t do live! Amazing concert!!
Yay! I’m so glad you got to see them live! I saw them on nov 30th. It was my ninth concert of theirs! They just keep getting better and better. The first one I went to was at a HOB in Boston in 2013, I thought they were fantastic but a Facebook memory popped up recently if a video that I took from that concert…… oh my! lol. They would start a song and one of them would be on the wing more so they stop, laugh and start over. lol. They wore jeans and had a tuner with them to make they ask start in the right key. I just forgot how far they’ve come. It was great

Funny you mentioned Boyz II Men. Shawn Stockman is a big Pentatonix fan. Kevin, the PTX beatboxer, recently performed with Boyz II Men at the CMT Artists of the Year 2021 Show.
Shawn Stockman was a judge on all 4 seasons of The Sing Off. Pentatonix won season 3 and Home Free won season 4
Indeed. We remember him fondly as the First Pentaholic, which is a lot considering how big Boyz II Men are.
Shawn was the first pentaholic. He's the one who named Kevin and Avi meat and potatoes 💜
He also named Avi and Kevin the 'meat and potatoes' of the group.
If you're getting hooked on Pentatonix I highly recommend The Prayer. They only released that cover in October and it's absolutely breathtakingly beautiful. Their voices are stronger than ever in it.

You should watch their Sing Off season 3 performances! That was how Pentatonix got huge and Shawn from Boyz II Men is actually one of the judges!

Oh and Shawn Stockman (Boys II Men) was the first Pentaholic, as one of the judges on the Sing Off (the a cappella competition that Pentatonix won back in 2011).
You said this was your first time seeing “the other black guy” but you reacted to Sound of Silence and Matt was in that one too AND you marveled at his deep voice then too lol.
You’re right, this one was blocked when I did it but I reacted to this one before I did Sound of Silence. RUclips let me have it up today.

Kevin's beat boxing is amazing! He changed his beat boxing for every day. And, yes, Kevin is a tenor. You just met their newish bass, Matt. He's been the bass since 2017 when Avi left the group to pursue other interests and to ratchet back his schedule.
You need to check out Matt doing the Grinch! He is so cute doing that one! We are the Pentaholics!

I think I started watching you for your George Carlin reaction and stayed for your classic rock reactions, but I am a huge Pentaholic and now have to subscribe in the hopes you'll keep reacting to them. I have favorites, but I think it's good for you at first to just look at what they have out there and react to something that looks interesting to you. They have several albums of covers to classic pop songs of various genres and decades, two albums of original songs and of course several albums of Christmas and winter songs. They are all good.
That guy is Matt. He took Avi's place. Beat boxer is Kevin. Mitch is the guy, as you say with insane voice. The there is Kirsten and Scott.
Please do subscribe. Van is an amazing reactor that has the best ear for music, and he can sing/rap like nobody’s business. I’ve been in the family since the beginning, so here’s a hint…..He LOVES drums! Keep that in mind when requesting songs. He reacts to everything though. This is THE channel for reactions! Well, you did it now! You want to check some Boyz II Men? In 2011, Pentatonix competed on the 3rd season of the Sing-off which featured Sean Stockman as one of the judges for the competition. Pentatonix made a fan out of him and I highly recommend you should check that whole competition out.

This isn't a Christmas song request, but I think you will enjoy the og Pentatonix group's original song called LOVE AGAIN.
If you loved their Daft Punk medley video, then you'll love this one. Just like the Daft Punk video had the space alien theme, they have a Steampunk alien theme going, with an edm sound. It was released around the same as the other.
Kevin does a bass drop that took me out, and for a second...I thought I was at the club. I almost did an assdrop, standing at the bus stop. 😂
I had to replay that part over, because he really sounds like an 808. I was ready for the club, at that point.
And Mitch was a beast as lead. His ranges gave me life. You won't regret it.

Avi the original Bass left in 2017. Shortly after Matt took over the Bass. He is excellent also.
The best version of this song. They can sing any style and genre. They did several in this song just to prove they could.

Shawn Stockman (one of your Boys to Men) was a judge on Season 3 of NBC's Sing Off that was won by Pentatonix. He made some very moving comments about their performances during several of the rounds.
