Thanks for watching!
I better get and order that second pair of glasses.... we are off to Switzerland at the end of April... thanks Kat !
Thanks for posting this, very helpful.
I wouldn't try washing your vehicle at any time on a Sunday on most of the Western Isles of Scotland either.
If having a dash cam is illegal in Portugal and Austria, how do Tesla drivers manage with the integrated systems that are built into the car - maybe not an issue for local vehicles (maybe they disable it at the showroom) but what about visitors from elsewhere?
I was advised about the spare pair of glasses rule when I moved to Spain and later asked a Spanish Police officer why it was necessary. She said it was in case you broke the ones you are using while driving and could just grab the spare pair before crashing into something. Reasonable, I thought, but when I pointed out that from that moment, I would not have a spare pair so would I still be allowed to drive? She laughed and told me to go away so I still don't know!
In the U.K. it is still illegal to push a pram along the public highway, on the road or footpath!
An old draconian law that has never been repealed.
Give way to the right still applies in rural areas in Haute Vienne!!!
Only where signed :)
@@WanderingBird yes, look for the triangle with a cross on its side.
I think you are wrong to call them crazy laws, they might be unusual but they have been introduced to keep people safe and enjoy a different way of life from that in the UK. No doubt they think some of our laws are odd. People have been known to be fined in Britain whilst eating and drinking as they are driving, spotted by the police. We've just driven through Austria using a dashcam, we had to stop at the border due to covid requirements, and at toll booths, nothing was said about it.
Hi both, enjoy watching your channel and just wondering if you are going to the N.E.C Show?
We will be staying at Somers Wood for the weekend.
Sure are- I'm speaking every day in the Inspiration Theatre (Hall 2) and can be found in the Campervan Advice Centre (Hall 5) between 10-3pm most days. Come say hi and get a sticker. :)
Interesting and odd, Spain sounds crazy. Thanks Kat.
Very useful information, thank you 👍
Great VLOG….Some we knew about, but most we didn’t….we are so going to get fined 😂🤣😂🤣😂👍👌
Thanks Kat, I'll try to remember...! ☺
Very interesting. Toured the length of Portugal twice with a dash cam and had any problems 🤔
Interesting as ever! I wonder how Tesla cars manage in Portugal, as they have an integral 'always on' dashcam with multiple camera angles? As for the glasses, i think Republic of Ireland has the same requirement - just wonder if prescription sunglasses count as a 'spare pair', and do they check the prescription of the spare pair against the ones you are wearing?! (I doubt it...)
Good info. By the way, France also has the parking on one side of the road on certain days of the month etc. in some towns.
So does the uk ! offence code 311/
(C)R 101.S42+(K) Sched. 2
Parking on offside at night
The "priorite a droite" sign means that you have to give way to cars coming out of the roads on the right, not seen a lot these days but can catch you out
Hi kat look at a boat fuel tank ,
i did see an other van RUclipsr with a set up by replacing generator fuel cap with a cap with a tube which went to a boat fuel can have A look around if this helps anyone i think if you have it Connected to the generator it will be classed as maybe a secondary thank ?
Thanks Kat for a very informative, humerous and worrying video. It reinforces my desire never to take my moho abroad and pay more attention to the British ever changing rules.
Enjoy the Show. I'm afraid I can't make it this year.
Stay in the UK....lol
