I’m in San Jose and in the process of getting my motorcycle license and picking up a Rebel 500. I’ve always imagined myself riding and owning a motorcycle, but was always afraid of accidents. I’m a Registered Nurse and I’ve seen my fair share of motorcycle accidents, but I feel as long as you drive safe, drive defensively, respect the motorcycle, and know your limits you’ll be fine.
That is all amazing to hear! As soon as you get it, let us know and you’re more than welcome to join the group! We have a few guys near the San Jose area and in Hayward! I applaud you for being a frontline worker, you must see A LOT… And I absolutely agree with you on being a rider of a motorcycle. It takes a lot more focus, patience, control, and vigilance than getting behind the wheel of a regular vehicle.
I’m loving the energy! This is so true! I’m glad my buddies started this group and that I was able to meet some other likeminded individuals while having fun and riding!☺️ Maybe you could start a group for MD riders!👀🙌
me and my wife sit and watch you as much as we can as i plan on making a rebel journey myself. you remind me why i fell for my wife back in the day! great content
Awwwww, that’s so cute! And thank you to you two for the support! You have no idea how much I appreciate it and love to hear things like this🥰 Ride safe!
Thank you! The ride route was amazing, even if we didn’t get to ride the whole route on our itinerary. I’m glad you enjoyed the video as much as I enjoyed the ride!
I really want to! We went down towards San Jose for the ride because majority of the riders were from that area so the majority won on location😂 but I definitely want to have them ride Berryessa!
Once I get legal and get my bike maybe you can come up to Pollock pines and ride. About 45 minutes below S. Lake Tahoe. Lots of twisties beautiful mountains!
I would actually love to ride towards Pollock Pines and South Lake Tahoe one day with my bike! I always drive out there in my car, especially during snowy months, but I’ve always wanted to make a trip on my bike.We could definitely do a meet up or even ride! I have another buddy up there near Eldorado Hills that also rides a Rebel as well🙌😁
Why didn’t I know or did I not pay attention that you have a RUclips channel? You really are making me want to go out and check out some Honda rebel 500. I think that’s what I need to do. I love your bike it is so cool looking. Can’t wait to go through all of your videos.
That’s alright, it’s barely a channel😂 and if you don’t try one by the time I get back, you can always try mine out! I think it would definitely be perfect for you, or even the new 1100cc for future riding. Thanks for the support for the channel, I appreciate it😁🙌
Oh no, I’m sorry to hear that! At least they were able to order parts for you, I hope you don’t have to pay anything… Are you in Northern California as well?
I'm installing a USB charger on my rebel 500. No wire cutting or none of that. Webike has them that plugs into your harness under your Guage. Look it up. Its awesome.
Loving the videos definitely my next bike when done next license (3 types of motorbike licence's in UK depending on hp of bike) especially tutorial videos, subscribed
Love the videos.. And random, but what is the song near the middle of the video? " hey look at me now, I see me rollin in a drop top" I can't seem to find it for the life of me.. Lol
Thanks, I’m glad you like the videos! But as for the song, it’s actually a song from an artist that went to the same high school as me! It’s Hey Ma by Chad Gomes, you can find him on Spotify and Apple Music I believe!
Thank you! And I 100% agree with you. Winds coming from behind? I don’t mind at all… Winds coming from the front? That’s alright, my neck and upper body will feel it in the morning… but cross-winds coming from EVERYWHERE? Now that is a struggle. I was on the verge of pulling over on the highway because of how strong they were😳 As for my helmet, I rode to Oregon and saw a helmet that looked ALMOST EXACTLY LIKE MINE with the pink contour lines, except I noticed it came originally on the helmet! I was so excited to see that it was actually a good enough look for someone to buy it stock!😂
Hi Lyssa, loving your videos. Picked up my Rebel about 6 weeks ago and it's great. Do you recommend a phone and USB mount? I don't know about everyone else but I find it really easy to get lost when having fun on good roads 😂 Thanks for the videos, please keep it up. Ride safe Marie xx
Thanks for watching! I’m glad you love the videos and welcome to the Rebel family😁 but I definitely recommend a phone mount! I strictly have my phone mount for GPS and maps… And I’m really considering getting a 12V charger That hooks up to the battery, just so I don’t have to lug around an extra battery pack charger. I think that may be some thing I will get and install in the future for my bike in fact! But I absolutely know what you mean about getting lost while having fun on the roads. Thanks again for the encouragement with the videos, and ride safe as well!
Same here! I’ve had mine 6 weeks now and it get better and better with every ride 😎 My first bike and not sure why I waited so long! Yep, one of the coolest things is exploring my area around Tampa Bay with a super fresh perspective. Ride safe!
@@JJPelszynski oh I know the feeling! It’s just a whole different feeling from driving in a car… specially when you’re on back/winding roads, away from city traffic! It’s definitely a mind and soul-relaxing activity when on a bike😌 FL has beautiful riding weather pretty much all year long, I hope you’re enjoying, and ride safe!
Nice! I think you were just added to the group recently actually! Welcome in! You’re a bit of a ways from where I’m at😂 but I’m down to ride with you one day! I get back around January!😁
Subscribed! Solano County represent! I don't have a Rebel altho the 1100 speaks to me. Currently riding a Monster. Would love to go on a ride sometime! Hmu! Trying to convince my buddy to make the ride to Alice's
Thank you for the support and the sub, I appreciate it!😁 and the 1100 is so tempting to me, but my 500 could do just what I want😂 not gonna upgrade anytime soon, not until I get my moneys worth and ride my bike to the brim😂 what monster do you have? And that was my first experience to Alice’s and I absolutely LOVED the ride there! I’m down to do it again!
I am a rebel owner as well! I have the 1100! Do you have the 1100? Is so where can I get that sissy bar!?Im riding out to Alice restaurant tomorrow! Welcome to join!
That is an awesome ride, I hope you enjoyed it! I actually have the 500, not the 1100. I got my sissy bar custom made on Etsy, I made a whole video about the install if you ever plan on installing one! His Etsy name is Edward Richie. You would have to message him personally about making one for the Honda rebel, because all he shows on his page is for Harleys. But I assure you he makes them for Honda Rebel‘s as well!
I’m sure there’s got to be a Honda Rebel group on the East Coast somewhere.… Or you could even start one where ever you’re at! Just know if you’re headed towards the west, you’ve got rebel family here🙌
