@@eiko1490 You're completely correct, and it was. I know that area looks like shallows but where I cast is some deep water and I checked the dimensions. I think it just comes down to there being Soooooo many different loot items available for each cast, it's far less likely to get anything good. LOTS of different species of fish though!
What a lovely video (and person) to show up in my recommended! I absolutely loved the soundtrack, the humour, and the builds, you are quite the creative! Looking forward to if you continue, and perhaps play with other parts of the mod further like farmer's delight, and in the mean time I get to wander through your backlog! Also found it refreshing to not be in hardcore, was very chill to watch.

My daughter started playing Minecraft when she was 7 in 2012 on the Xbox 360. I was an OG gamer going back to the 80s (I'm an old fart) and blew off the game as a joke for almost a decade until a certain global event hit in 2020. She got me hooked on it and I've never gone back. I sub to a lot of Minecraft channels and yours popped up on my YT suggestions. @microcosmgaming , your MC channel is the best I've come across. It deserves over a million subs. Your Irish accent and spirit are an absolute joy and stirs my Irish ancestral blood in me. Please keep up the outstanding videos, builds, humor and music! Well done!

I'm not particularly outgoing or ostentatious irl and have no great need to 'perform', but I saw how the game brought people together and, in general, brought the best out in them. In a world becoming more consistently aware of it's differences and struggling with reacting well to that exposure, it's a space online that counters that side a little. I hope at least. All my best to you and your daughter, I hope you both still play and will continue to.

You should keep working on this as you've hardly even scratched the surface of this modpack! Like the nether rubies you found are upgraded armor pieces, like netherite but a lot better and can upgrade your weapons and tools too. There's a lot more to discover and explore in this modpack
So many things I see in the recipe book has some crazy back story or rabbit hole of ingredients that all involve a days long quest. Yea, there's definitely a lot more to see and do.
@@microcosmgaming It's a pity that you didn't link which version of BetterMC you used, because unfortunately there are several of them :) I was just interested to know how CPU-intensive it would be, the last version I played ran pretty smoothly, even though my computer is no longer the latest, especially when it comes to my graphics card :)
@@Vardash mhm, version does make a difference. BMC2 Fabric v24 wasn't toooo hard on the cpu. I just upgraded to the latest version and had some trouble. All in all, it's better than it used to be. modded that is. Last time I tried it was pretty much impossible on a mid range system.

I've just installed BMC2 v26.5 (Fabric) and my CPU AMD 5800x its just about 25%, my GPU (geforce 1080) is about 90% with 32 chunks render distance. Minecraft uses almost 12GB of RAM for that and I have over 100 fps with shaders and all resource packs. If I record with OBS now, my fps drops to about 90.
@@Vardash I'm running an i9-9820X with RTX 2080 and 64DDR4. It seems ok most of the time but has struggled with high entity counts, like the storage room with all the item frames. strangely once I replaced glow frames with non glow frames it freed it up quite a bit.

Love the attention to detail with the comments Arcana. It's great feedback for me to see what bits landed with people. 1. I have no comment about the fate of the alleged duck. 2. I kinda went into a panicked argument with myself there didn't I. Still noone offered to pee on me, for better or worse. 3. Gazebo = Pergola in Aus, so that's what I was aiming at. glad you like it. Most of my builds will be functional to some extent, not all, but most, for the same reason. It's a lot of work to design, so it better be useful to me too lol.

Thank you! these comments help. I had a feeling I was missing some stuff in the overworld at least, so I DID end up having a little check on what I should be seeing. Turns out it's just the version I was using, which has to be fabric so I can use the recording mods I like to use. While I cant change to forge or even upgrade to the latest newest edition of fabric, I can ,and have, upgraded the version of the one I've been using, that will be in the next episode:)

@@amyfrancisquini4664 I've just recently updated to the latest version of BMC2 Amy. I tried to go to fabric BMC3 but there are too many differences in the mods, so blocks were missing etc. I'd probably try BMC3 if you're on fabric and curious.
