Like always, delightful video: 1) can I apply APP by hand in hard to reach areas without compromising its performance? 2) If my car is coated, and I am happy with the paint, can I apply APP and recoat? 3) Do you know what is the stroke of the Ryobi polisher??? Can't find this info anywhere 4) can you apply APP to PPF, wraps, gloss plastics, headlights?
I love using the Mitchell & King 'Pure' product to clean and prep my paint before applying a sealant and wax... I guess this does a similar job but for ceramic.
I love using APP- can the formulation support a liquid spray version using a trigger sprayer if the goal is getting the chemical on the paint. I guess this would be a different version of panel prep.
Can APP be used on surfaces in homes such as stone countertops? I’m assuming it would deep clean better than just panel prep, especially because of how porous stone is. Also, can any of the DIY or C6 coatings be used on countertops or appliances?
You can use it but might want to think about how these coatings might be able to get into your food And if your body can deal with that. Using a polisher wrong could put this in the air/other surfaces, let alone the coatings wearing down over time. Not sure how bad graphene/ceramic is compared to Teflon but definitely want to avoid it in my food.
Can APP be used on PPF, before I apply ceramic coating on the PPF ( the PPF in question is XPEL Ultimate Plus, and has the heat - activated self - healing topcoat )? If the PPF have been ceramic coated, can I still use localized heat ( via heat gun ) to self - heal any swirls / scratches on the PPF? Tq!
Great info! Let’s say I did some paint correction with a Finisher, Can the APP be used immediately after to remove the polish oils and prep the surface?
2 questions one of which had sort of been covered but im just checking again to be sure- can you use APP with any of your DIY coatings? And with other brands too? Lastly, can you bring out APP in a smaller bottle say a third less and reduce the price too?
Thanks for your videos they are great! I just wanted to clarify speeds you recommend for the below: 1) 15mm DA(wool pad), 3000rpm? 2) 15mm DA (yellow waffle pad), 3000rpm? 3) rotary polisher (red jeweling pad), 600rpm? 4) 3mm - 9mm DA or random orbital sander (using APP), 11,000rpm? Thank you for the clarification :)
For C6 Ceramics Adhesion Promoter Polish (APP) you do not want to use a rotary or 15mm DA. For use with DIY Detail Gold Standard Polish, yes those are appropriate.
I used APP recently. I found it very easy to use. The wipe off is where I ran into trouble. I tried to use as little as possible but I did replenish APP every 3rd panel or so. I’ve watched other videos where the user had no issues with the wipe off. Could my issue be caused by using too much APP or by not working long enough? I did 2 passes.
I have a car that probably has a coating on it but want to apply the c6 on it. Mercedes paint. Will the app remove prior coating or do I need to polish lightly first before the app. I think paint was corrected in past. Looks free of swirls
You guys mentioned in the video that to wipe off the app before putting on the coating. Should one use a plain microfiber towel or should it be damped with rinseless?
Great Information Guy's. Seems so much Easier than Other Systems.... Yvan, Can the Decontamination Towel be used on PPF B 4 Finishing up with a Coating or Polish/Wax?
In regards to hand application. I don’t really want to purchase another DA for the “striker” requirement. Can this realistically be applied by hand? Is it like a wax?
I’m going to install hydrolite tomorrow. I made it through polishing today and will apply coating tomorrow. Do I need to clean the car again before applying APP? It is in the garage
Hi ivan just a question, say I just finished a one step with 3d one for instants & wiped off all residue with a dry Microfibre towel can I apply app strait away or is then another step I should take before applying app to remove any 3d one that may be left on the panel. Thanks
@diydetailofficial So after 3d One, wipe with all clean & then can go straight to apply APP or All-Clean wipe followed with Rinseless wipe or water rinse, & then apply APP?
@diydetailofficial Wouldn't I need to "scuff up" the original coating first with GS polish & panel wipe before applying app & putting another coating on top? Or will APP bite into prior coating on its own?
@@joelpasserell4525if it’s the same coating C6 Ceramics Adhesion Promoter Polish (APP) is sufficient, if applying a different coating, then DIY Detail Gold Standard Polish is needed
How do we apply app to intricate areas that our machine can’t get to? Is the APP safe to apply by machine on Vinyl wraps (in my case a gloss black wrapped roof)?
I have been using APP since it came out and this product has never let me down. The biggest mistake I see is people trying to save time and use APP as a light polish.
I am very disappointed to learn that I will have to buy a separate machine just for APP. The Amazon link shows a $179 sander!! Too much for just taking care of two vehicles!!! Sorry, I will need to look for another brand of coatings.
I 100% approve. The APP gives me confidence that the coating will bond and last a long time. I love it.
Thank you.
That was a great refresher. Def learned a few things.
Nice!

Will the red pad on the app appler da sander. Leave haze at all ?
No haze

Xpel makes their own panel prep and 8-year PPF coating that they would probably suggest you use instead to maintain the warranty.
C6 Ceramics Adhesion Promoter Polish (APP) is safe to use on PPF

Let’s say I did some paint correction with a Finisher, Can the APP be used immediately after to remove the polish oils and prep the surface?
With DIY Detail Gold Standard Polish yes, with other brands we recommend an APC Wipe
Can you use any ceramic coating after using the app
Yes you can
Yes
@diydetailofficial Use APP even with the self-healing coatings like from Feynlab or Revivify?
Will the APP come with a smaller bottle? It will benefit for weekend warroir whom does not frequent coating their own car
We are working on it.
@@diydetailofficialThat’s why I have using it for other ceramic coatings besides C6.
@diydetailofficial does this phendo sander be used as the rotary polisher too?
No, only for C6 Ceramics Adhesion Promoter Polish (APP)

Yes it can be used with all coatings. We are investigating other sizes.
How long will the bottle last on the shelf? As an enthusiast I doubt I'm going to be coating 30-40 cars any time soon.
A few years

Does the Jeweling Pad remove etching of the water spots?
It won't take much off the top, so if the etching is recent, it might. If not, then no, I doubt it would
Generally not unless they are fresh
@@diydetailofficial then the waffle pad 100% will take it out right?
