- Geologist Ian Plimer says the Trump presidency will mean making “renewables competitive”.
Joe Biden has ended his re-election campaign and endorsed Kamala Harris as the Democratic candidate.
There are questions about Trump’s energy policies in the lead-up to the presidential election.
“Trump’s already shown his colours on this,” Mr Plimer told Sky News host Rita Panahi.
“He wants to drill to get more gas and oil.
“He wants to again get out of Paris; he wants to make renewables competitive.
“No one objects to renewables; they just have to be on a level playing field, and that level playing field is without subsidies.”
the sooner Australia rids itself of this climate alarmism net zero nonsense the better.
Amen.
Same here in the 🇬🇧 uk
Net zero : between your ears. Keep whining and talking crap, it's entertaining 👏👏.
@@TheBillABCTVAnother braindead orange turd apologist. 🚽👋.
@countyorga764 If Australia achieved net zero tomorrow by how many degC will the planet cool in the next 50 years.
Keep in mind that China’s annual increase of emissions is greater than Australia’s total annual emissions.
Bring on more gas projects in aus. There is nothing wrong with gas! People need to stop demonising it
Yes he will as he said, dig, dig, dig. Of course he will get rid of it, he knows what it's about. Spoke about it many times. He loves his country, I don't see the problem with that.
It's only fair that renewables compete on the open market.
Democrat controlled government election machineries will rig the election again- history will repeat itself! Trump will lose again, by fraud.
Trump oulled out of the Paris accord? So what, it was a waste of time.
There is no utility in climate action as the carbon dioxide emissions from fossil fuels are largely beneficial. Benefits include greening of the planet with increased agricultural yields (main effect), reduced winter heating costs, fewer deaths from hypothermia and postponement of the next glacial maximum.
Climate action is a colossal waste of time, resources and money.
We should simply use the most economical energy resources available.
Wind and solar will not be competitive for decades. Hydro is the only competitive renewable but it’s geographically limited.
Trump 2024 ❤ Drill baby drill
Greatest POTUS in over 100 years
@@coal_man Definitely the greatest orange turd.
Another yank braindead orange turd apologist. Piss off 🚽👋.
They have managed to destroy so much environment with renewable energy in ten years than 100 years prior coal and oil use.
I think more nuclear energy
The obsession with nuclear energy in spite of all the damage that it continues to cause fascinates me. It's like declaring a desire to start using natural gas instead of oil. It's not progressive, it's not good for the environment, it enables the development of dangerous nuclear technology all around the world
everyone wants nuclear, no one wants it near them.
Such as?
@@sabriel639 What damage? It's far better for the environment than wind and solar.
Think and you in the same sentence 😂😂.
Go Trump
No back-up policy for R.E., let it compete like any others.
Im so sick of renewables i just want nuclear and geothermal
Geothermal is very limited.
@@NoWindNoSunNoPower I don't care wind needs to go its bad for the birds
Nuclear is just as expensive as wind and solar thanks to the exaggerated safety burden imposed by activists. Geothermal works on a very small scale, if you have a nearby volcano that you can tap into.
@@shadeburstthe most basic form of geothermal is a ground source heat pump.
Reducing the burden of electrical generation to provide heat and cooling to home and business is just as effective as adding more power generation to the grid.
@@Jordy-927 Yes it may reduce the burden but at horrendous cost. You need a temperature differential of a few hundred degrees minimum. The Grindavik geothermal plant is built right on top of a magma reservoir and its output is not significant.
how about making oil from coal like a german leader did 80 years ago and fought a war
That went well 😂.
@@countyorga764 what I am saying is if he could make enough oil to fight a world war why cant Australia make oil 80 years latter to satisfy our needs
Looking forward to cheaper fuel across the board if Trump wins 😃 until Albo taxes it 🤬
Looking forward to your continued unsuccessfull search for the brain that rejected you 😂😂.
And you can bet your britches that Albo will tax it.

@tomjones5338 are you doing ok, Tom?
You do realise that everyone doesnt get mentally old at the same time right?.. And he is not running to become a football Star..
Trump is far sharper mentally, then Biden was when he got elected, and we all warned you that he was in mental decline, but you were like "no, he is just wise from experience"..
No he isn't. Biden was too old when he was installed.
