I moved out of the NY metro area seven years ago, but it always made me happy to see Elise Finch on air, because she was sunny, interesting, a serious professional, and yes, she looked like most of us normal women, rather than being just another cookie-cutter skinny minnie newsie in the morning. She was so relatable and yet so professional, rising to the occasion when the weather was anything but lighthearted. I'm so saddened by this news, for her colleagues, her husband, and especially her beautiful daughter. May her memory always be a blessing.
