I know parts of the video with the commentary are off, first video back after moving into a new place so just need to get into the groove of it again! Also, no stream tonight. Tomorrow I will be live so be sure to stop by!
I think this game could have had a chance if everyone didn’t label it a cod killer. The cod fanbase hopped on and expected a similar but better experience but got a game that didn’t feel anything like cod and for me and many others was a pretty bad game.
Ubisoft's woes, have nothing to do with "catering to a modern audience". They have been making shitty, bloated, mtx-filled, grindfests for years now and people are tired. When they release a decent game, people don't know it because they are already checked out.
It’s surprising how many people just don’t understand yet. Not everyone wants to play a team v team fps shooter even if it’s free unless you got fortnite brain. There’s a reason why concord died on release I don’t know how this and the finals have made it so long. It also doesn’t help that it’s a cod clone, so it being free and people playing it *because* it’s a clone kinda enforces the idea that the consumers will just scurry off and play another version if they find one. That’s how overwatch came to be
I can. | remember when xDef came out... I enjoyed it for about 2 months then the playerbase drove me away. Nothing but Tryhards who ruin every match by going 40/4/20 and/or players who can't wrap their heads around the game being objective based. Though that's not why I knew this would end... I always knew Ubisoft wouldn't support the game after the honeymoon phase. The game was going to (and did) have a LOT of players in the first few weeks and months, but overtime people would realize it's just more of the same crap Activision has been shoving down their throats with or without SBMM. So they would eventually go back to the creature comfort of the Franchise they know vs a new one that is constantly trying too sell you a new skin despite not really showing WHY you should buy that skin apart from repeating buzzwords like 'No SBMM' and such. The game was going to take the normal dip in playerbase that ALL games have after about 2 months, Ubisoft would try some big thing to bring players back in (which was the AC tie-in) and when that event doesn't bring in MORE players than launch they were going to shut it down. This is exactly what happened. Because Ubisoft is not a company that is hard to predict. If a title isn't doing the best in it's Genre or making the MOST money for the company Ubisoft is going to 100% pull the plug. xDef was no different. It didn't have the longevity to actually become better than CoD or Overwatch (which is more of it's direct competetor) and people who played those games religously would return to them. The same is going to happen to Marvel Rivals... the difference I believe though is that the Devs behind Rivals are going to keep the game alive because they aren't deluded like Ubisoft is. They'll make a game for 20% of their launch playerbase, because THOSE PLAYERS are their actual player base. Look at any game, it has 2 months of solid playtime and then people move on to other things. Games populations typically fall to around 20% of launch numbers and ride that out until their content runs out or the developers end the project. (In the case of games that have longevity beyond a single playthrough).
honestly, they just copy and pasted from Cod which is a joke cause Cod itself is DEAD. I love it tho, its karma. The community sucks and did it to themselves. I LOVE IT!

We tried xdefiant. It was terrible
@@GeriMandrill-y3n Both things are true. XD was really bad AND Ubi makes open-world slop
xdefiant sucked bro, ironsight was made on a smaller budget and it was a better cod clone than this and it also failed.
@joeblowe3180 anyways xdefiant was 💩

No SBMM just means carrying you’re horrible 3/27 teammates it’s no wonder why it’s shutting down honestly
dude has no idea what hes talking bout just contradicting every other point hes trying to make
This game deserved to die, after playing it I’m surprised it even lasted this long
