    My local pro shop ordered my 243’s a week ago and I am sooo excited. Had a total right wrist fusion 1.5 years ago and coming from a set of Callaway Apex CF16’s that were brutal to my wrist. I am looking forward to the Mizuno softness. Wish that I could have them earlier but I guess I can wait 😁

      You will notice the difference right off the first hit with those 243’s. The Mizuno’s are buttery soft compared to those CF16’s.

    Just got fit for the 245s, went from 2019 t-100s then P770s for a week. Had a set of 225 HMB for months last year. Mizunos are hands down the best irons I’ve hit.

    Dream set would be 245 3 iron, 243 4--6, and 241 in 7-pw. But have to stick with my Mp30s as i they're way out of my price range unfortunately.

    If you combo set example
    243 4 iron 5 - PW 241
    Do mizuno match the lofts for you ?
    Or is that the job of your custom fitter
    Looking at the lofts of the two sets it looks like I’d weaken the 243 4iron by 1 degree and strengthen the 241 5iron by 1 degree , would that sound about right ??

    Nice swing Seve. My shops Mizuno rep got my pre-order in for the 245’s two weeks ago. You mentioned you loved the extra 5 yards carry on the 243’s, but am curious why you wouldn’t want an additional 5 yards with the 245’s? You stated they are too hot for yourself, but am curious if they are also workable? Luke Donald just put the 245 in his bag, 4-PW. Of course, he is almost 50 like me :)

    • @mizunogolf1906
      @mizunogolf1906  5 месяцев назад +2

      Seems like its difficult for better players to believe that there isn't a drawback to go wth the additional yards. We filmed Luke Donald, Keith Mitchell and Ben Griffin hitting all 3 models side by side - we had to encourage all 3 to give the 245s more than a fleeting glance. It's a very interesting video - we'll get it out pretty soon.

    I'm confused by the 243 review and the suggestion that they be combo'd with the 241 in the shorter irons. Does not the 8-GW in the 243 no longer have the speed slot and are fully forged? It's like they were combo set from the factory. Why would I choose the 241 8-GW over the 243 8-GW? Almost like you are invalidating your own product?

    • @atxrich
      @atxrich 6 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah the 243 and 245 are almost combo’d within the set. I think the idea of a 241/243 combo is for the 241 player that needs a little more help and distance in the longer end of the bag, not the other way around.

    • @mizunogolf1906
      @mizunogolf1906  6 месяцев назад +2

      this was Seve’s own take on it….as a player. If he was to take the 243s, he likely would combo with the 241s. Probably because he’s leaning to the 241s generally as a serious player. Answer will be different for different players. The 243s work great as a complete set - but we don’t all play off +5.

    • @lkae4
      @lkae4 5 месяцев назад

      243 has a bit more help in the sole. 241 is thinner, more precise. I sometimes wish my 243 gap wedge was 241 for a thinner sole but I don't think 241 has a gap wedge. Instead, when I have a tight pitch or long chip, I go with my 52 degree MG4 wedge. I was never interested in a 241/243 combo set because like you said, 243 short irons are 1020 solid heads and the whole set is beautiful as a matching set.

    EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED that they went with the SATIN finish.
    In fact, I am absolutely ANNOYED they went to the SATIN.
    Why would you not stick to the shiny chrome finish, if the makers are so fond of the old irons, especially the MP-5, that they borrowed the looks of, for this new model??????
    So annoying. I am a long time Miz player, but I won't be buying this set of 243. I hate that it's not shiny.

      @ScrewyDriverTheMan 5 месяцев назад +1

      @@mizunogolf1906 Obviously. But you had never done it for the past 30 years that I've been playing the MPs. Why try to blend it with the JPX. It's truly annoying. I cannot play it now, and all I've ever played were the MP blades. I'll be sticking to the used market to find clean heads

    • @mizunogolf1906
      @mizunogolf1906  5 месяцев назад +1

      Sorry - it's a very different finish to the JPX, a soft satin chrome vs a white satin on the JPX Tour. The MP-32 weren't full mirror either. We've had a lot requests for the satin - sorry its not for you. @@ScrewyDriverTheMan

    • @ScrewyDriverTheMan
      @ScrewyDriverTheMan 5 месяцев назад +1

      @@mizunogolf1906 Yup, it's not shiny, it's dull, whatever it is. It looks fine on the 923Tour, that full dull is ok on that model.
      I never played the 32, it was way too goosenecked.
      We all skip certain models, we don't need to change every time.
      I'll be skipping this one. The 221 is fine, there are loads of used ones out there in mint conditions.
      Hopefully the 261 will be back to the chrome, not just Yoro option.
      Thanks anyway
