      Hi Brenda! I am so excited that you made this water bottle holder! I love using mine. Great idea adding another open area. I encourage people to make their projects their own and be creative. Oh you will definitely crochet like me if you practice and give it time. I've been crochet a long time and have been able to practice tension and the feel I want my stitches to have, controlling the stitch. It comes. 😊🧡🧶

      I use too much tension as well. I compensate by going up one or even two crochet sizes (so 6 mm instead of 4 mm for my mercerized cotton). Works for me. Have fun practicing, I sure do. ;)

    This is me, late to the party again (since this was posted 3 years ago) but I confess to some little confusion. I clicked the link for the written pattern, which btw includes a diagram (which I am still learning how to read). I kept going back and forth between this video and the written pattern. I noticed that when we get to row/round 10, there is a deviation. The written pattern instructs to sc in space BEFORE same st, then to ch 3, but the video states ch 5. I opted to follow the written pattern and my result ended up looking like the photo on the pattern page. Not a big deal, I'm sure. Anyway, thanks for the tutorial, because it does help to be able to follow a written pattern and have a video tutorial.

    ?? Do we need an adjustable starting slip knot so we can pull the circle tight after the first row, or a locking slip knot?

    • @CrochetWithTiffany
      @CrochetWithTiffany  6 месяцев назад

      Great questions! Honestly, because we are working a circle you can begin a couple different ways. If you would prefer to begin with a magic ring to close that circle even more you can absolutely do that. 🤗❤️🧶!

    • @BridgetMcHale
      @BridgetMcHale 6 месяцев назад

      Thanks so much for your reply! Obviously I’m a newbie. I’m glad you said that because I end up with a too big open circle in the middle trying to do it with a locking slip knot like yours. You get it so nice and closed tight.
      Thank you! Love your videos!💛

    I'm totally a beginner. How can I make one for a bigger bottle(wider diameter)?

    • @CrochetWithTiffany
      @CrochetWithTiffany  2 года назад +1

      Great question! You would add one more row to the bottom base of the holder to make a holder that is bigger. Insert a new Rnd 4: Chain 2, make one Dc in the first stitch space, then make one Dc stitch in the next 2 stitch spaces. Then Repeat 2 Dc in the same stitch, then one Dc in the next two stitch spaces. Then go about the pattern the same way it is written. Hope this helps! 😊🧡🧶

    Hi Tiffany!! I accidentally bought 3 weight cotton yarn. How do I change the pattern to accommodate my yarn? By the way, love your channel and teaching approach!

    • @CrochetWithTiffany
      @CrochetWithTiffany  4 года назад +2

      Hi Melissa! Thank you so much! No worries on the 3 weight yarn. Because the yarn will be thinner everything will shrink which is ok lets just add one more row on the bottom circle then work upward.
      Rnd 1: 12 Dc in circle......................................total 12 Dc
      Rnd 2: [2 Dc in each stitch]............................total 24 Dc
      Rnd 3: [2 Dc in the first stitch, 1 Dc in the next stitch] repeat around..... total 36 Dc
      New Inserted Rnd:
      Rnd 4: [2 Dc in the first stitch, 1 Dc in the next 2 stitches] repeat around......total 48 Dc
      Then continue with the rest of the pattern as usual.
      Thank you so much for asking! I hope this helps. 😊🧡🧶

    only thing i dont like with this pattern is when u join the other side of the strap the conection part stick out a bit and looks diff to the other side.made a few but other then that.there is another version that has some of a diff parrtern but the conection is the same still

    • @ArDeeMee
      @ArDeeMee 3 года назад

      I make the strap by chaining to length, slipping into the opposite side, and then double-crocheting into the underside of the chains. I find it easier…
