Bees, butterflies, hummingbirds and other beneficial creatures depend on flowers to survive. Many types of bees & butterflies are in danger of extinction, so planting a flower garden helps protect them.
Very nice. The fun thing is that it'll vary from year to year. My meadow has been very flower free for the last couple of years, but it's done this before then sprung back into life with different flowers dominant.
Hell yeah, wildflower power! You'll have foragers raiding your garden now, as well as the insects 🤣 Chicory and Borage are also nice additions to the wildgarden, I get so many bees!
Your favourite tool the strimner is also a killer for certain wildlife, did you not know how many hedgehogs suffer horrific injuries or are killed out right by people using strimners, it's horrific & a wildflower meadow makes a great place for hedgehogs to build a nest so please check before using any garden tools like that.
Let me rephrase this for you: ‘Hey! Thanks for the video. Just a tip - check to see if there are hedgehogs in your garden, so you don’t hurt them with the strimmer.’ Much less confrontational and patronising.
long time subcriber to your pod now discovered this channel to keep me going untill your return later in the year
wonderful. Like your to the point style :) great share!
It’s always interesting to realize that plants (like purple loosestrife) are native somewhere else. 😊 It’s invasive here in Canada.

Jack enjoyed this vlog. A good idea is to spread your seeds around, and they will bloom everywhere 😀
Thanks
