Funny how Ed would threaten with lawsuits for making copies when his shop was pumping out copies left and right. Sorry, but slime ball thing to do.
I have a custom built Baker from Ed Roman guitars back when Ed Roman was still alive.
I customized it and now Baker come with more options because of me.
I love my Baker guitar. It plays better than any guitar I’ve ever played.
Another feature about Roman guitar Center is that you can choose absolutely any wood and I mean any wood that you want. To me the Pearl casters, and the Baker guitars are the best..
I should point out that my guitar was not a restoration but was a build from a scratch, abstract neck through body, mahogany body, quilt maple top, burnt rattlesnake finish, Ritchie Blackmore scalloped ebony fretboard and much more. Took three years to complete!! But it's everything I wanted it to be and then some. Tone pros hardware, buzz feiten nut etc.. I'm not sure why people on the internet talk shit about Ed Roman or this business. Scott has helped me personally every time I have called or emailed about a guitar. I have pestered Scott with tons of questions and he always made an effort to teach me and gives great customer service. I have bought three guitars and a half stack from Ed Roman's, two bakers and a custom built abstract. Bakers are great guitars by the way!!

I worked for Ed Roman from 1980 - 1986 in Danbury Ct building and repairing guitars, amps, and effects. I picked up my touring tech gigs there as well.
I heard he was a kind, caring employer.

I was lucky enough to visit the original shop back in the 90's as well as the location they moved to after it closed. Of course I lived in Vegas so it was a short drive for me. :)
I'm picturing the Rocking birds or any of the abstracts with a headless neck! OR ANY OF THE NAME BRANDS TOO, ie HEADLESS RICK, WOLF, STRAT or HEADLESS VINTAGE! I'm going back to the video to imagine the possibilities.

The 1st time I ever went to Vegas years ago, my 1st stop was Ed Roman's. I was so excited to go there & perhaps buy a Holy Grail 84 Kramer Baretta. My excitement soon faded as I was treated like dirt by Ed & the staff. They acted like if you weren't a rock star, or looked like one, you weren't worthy of being there. Huge place, lots of great guitars, but left a really bad taste in my mouth. No idea how this place stayed open for so long treating customers that way.
Very cool. I heard Ed Roman's daughter recently passed away. Sad.

Hey Tone King. I purchased the red Joe Satriani Ibanez JS1200CA that's at 1:15 in the video yesterday. Scott was great to deal with and the other 2 guys were there. He asked how I found out about the place and I said from your video tour.

Collecting guitars is something that is in existance since the conception of the guitar but...today a part of the guitars for sale have become more of an investment than to buy a guitar for playing on it.
Uh just thinking out loud, I got a JEM7VW... maybe trade neck for a Moses graphite?

+The Tone King If you recall when I first saw that Gibson had come out with that Zakk W. Model along with many of the other coolness that it has in it's build. DUDE, I thought of you and wrote you that if you ever had a chance that Moderne Of Doom guitar had your name written all over it. As well as it being a GREAT investment in a Gibson USA Made Guitar. I was incredibly surprised when you in fact did by that fabulous guitar for your collection. Again Congrats still on that one. :)

Obviously it’s scary what Ed was up to especially with things like pulling the neck off a 59 les Paul and putting a new body on it. But man these guys sure could make some guitars!
Ed Romans daughter Lindsay was alledgedly murdered a couple of weeks ago. She had taken over since Ed died.
