    Super tour, it’s not easy in zone 9 to keep a garden looking fresh and inviting, looks great!

    Regarding African Daisy, they are super easy to propagate. Take cuttings and strip off a couple lower leave nodes and literally, stick them in the ground. Keep watered for a few weeks and done. Works better during non-hot months. 😊

    Your garden is beautiful. I am in zone 9B in Florida I understand the heat. I'm still not use to all the sand here but I'm learning. Thank you for sharing.

    Nice to find a gardener in my same Zone. I'm also in the Central California area...Modesto. All too often I watch a video on plants only to find out, nope won't work in my area. I want to do a dianthus border like you did. I like how you mixed the three colors. I may have to borrow that idea :)

      @birdhousegarden  2 года назад +1

      Thank you. I really do appreciate that. 😃 Our heat is so different from others that get hot - since it just doesn’t cool off during the evening. By 8-9 am it can easily be north of 85-90. I’ve been so impressed with the dianthus! It’s south facing and it hasn’t skipped a beat. Good luck with your border.
      Thank you for watching. 😊

    Thank you for sharing your knowledge and beautiful garden. I just found your videos and am so excited that you are in my hardiness zone 9b. I am further north in California near the Yuba City/Chico area and am trying to learn what can grow in this hot climate. Seeing the success you have had with plants has given me lots of inspiration and I am eager to start my new garden.

      Thank you 😊. When I was a young kid we almost moved to Grass Valley, a little east of where you’re at. These hot summers take a toll on plants. Slowly, I’m learning what plants and their placement do best during these months. I think I’ll do an end of summer tour to show what has survived. 🤣🥵

    Your gardens are just beautiful. Love the petunias at your walkway. We’ve been having excessive heat in Southwest Virginia too and so much humidity. Your plants are looking great even with the heat. We have lots of trees so I know what you mean about cleaning up for a video and then a few hours later more stuff has fallen. I did subscribe ❤️❤️❤️

    • @birdhousegarden
      @birdhousegarden  2 года назад +1

      Thank you! 😃 The heat certainly does affect many of the plants. I’ve not filmed a tour post summer to show what has survived. Maybe I should. 😳 I cannot imagine the humidity. We have family in Arkansas & Tennessee. I believe they have humidity as well. We’re looking forward to fall. That’s when we begin to plant more perennials. Thank you so much for watching & subscribing. 😊

    You need to do more drought tolerant plants with lots of mulching for your zone. Mulch, Mulch, Mulch!! I don't see any mulch. Annies Annuals has some drought tolerant plants that you can order online.

    • @birdhousegarden
      @birdhousegarden  9 месяцев назад

    Girl, where's your mulch or ground covering?

    • @birdhousegarden
      @birdhousegarden  2 года назад +1

      I know. 😩🤣 I have chosen not to mulch because we have 3 mature Camphor trees that drop leaves everyday from March to November. We rake our flowerbeds around 3 times a week. In the past when we’ve mulched, I’ve ended up raking it all up. 😔

    Hey there, I live in the Central Valley also. Does your Sunshine Ligustrum get some shade during the day or are the in full sun? I’m about to plant some, but I’m concerned about them handling our full sun!

    • @birdhousegarden
      @birdhousegarden  Год назад

      Hi 👋… Yes, they receive shade until 12:ish. Then they are in the sun the remainder of the day. They definitely can take our heat. 😃

    Everyone reading this, I just want to let you know that JESUS IS COMING SOON. As most of us can contest the world is getting darker every day. We all broke our creator GOD ALMIGHTY laws and owed a debt we could never pay but GOD loved us so much that HE sent his SON JESUS to die a death he did not deserve for our sins paying it for us. IT IS FINISHED!He loves us so much y’all! Hell was never made for us! We are called to REPENT, admit that we have fallen short (sinned) and put our trust in the promised savior JESUS and ask him to be our LORD. HE will give you everlasting life with HIM! HE change my life and part of my purpose on this earth is to share HIS good news(GOSPEL). I LOVE ALL OF YOU! REPENT AND TRUST IN JESUS!❤✝️
