Battle rap is part of rap culture so I don't think that rap is losing but in this battle Kendrick Lamar without a question is victorious. He will go down as one of the greatest rappers of all time without question. And not like us as a bop baby.

Drake seems to get into it w/ diff people a lot whereas I never heard Kendrick having issues w/ a lot of folk before now to my knowledge. Hmm Their agent works for them not the other way around in terms of bookings/contract negotiations, so not sure how the agent's benefiting from their beef. Their agent shouldn't be making $$ off downloads/cd sells etc. but maybe they have some weird contract signing that enables agent to get paid off music sales, but I doubt it.
I think Kendrick is a lyrical genius this pre-battle, love his artistry. He (only rap artist & very rare given his age) and Stevie Wonder have Library of Congress Gershwin Award, so shocked Drake kept at it whereas J Cole bowed out early - thank goodness. J Cole saw where it was going, took the hit from fans calling him names, and now it appears he was the one with the most sense. Disturbs me a bit that grown folk loving the back and forth like Ocho. Whatever this beef's about its been smouldering for yrs per reports and with it getting gutter low, I hope no fatality ends it - in Jesus' name by the power of the Holy Spirit - Amen.

Kendrik did win. The agent is an employee and can not control the artists. The artists control the agent and will tell them to sit their behinds down or suffer the repercussions. As for rap, it is winning because streams are up and fans are enjoying the music. I don't know where "fans" are losing comes from. The internet says they already found Drake's daughter. Honestly, this is a non issue.
