Thank you for understanding me. I’ve been feeling very guilty about not uploading any videos for a while. What you said to me actually made feel better! 🥹 Thank you for taking your time to leave a comment under each video.☺️ I don’t even do that to any other channels. I feel very lucky! 💚
Wow, you are so cool. 🤩 You must be a very wise person with lots of life experience through numerous trials and errors. I’m 34 years old and try to get inspired by people who don’t give up easily like you. Thank you for giving me/us here big inspiration. 🥹🧡
Welcome back Yisani! Wow what a great perspective and very helpful tips. I actually was getting tired of studying korean. But sometimes all you need is a break. Now im starting again 😅 감사합니다
Hi! I haven’t met you in person but I feel very close to you already, like an old friend. 😂 Thank you for sharing your honest feeling with me/us here. 😀 I’ve been teaching Korean many years but a lot of my students have given up during or after level 1. But those who finish level 1 most likely continue learning for a longer time. I think as long as you enjoy the learning journey, how fast you learn is not very important. 😇 I’m glad to hear that you’re motivated to start again! YAY!! 🥳
@yisani_kr Awe thank you for the kind words. 😄 I feel the same way. I agree with you 100 percent. 맞아요, 좋아요. It's not the destination but the journey that matters
Hi, I traveled to seoul a couple of months ago for 33 days. Now that I came back I left korean learning very abandoned, I feel like with the trip I overcharged and I needed a break tbh, idk if it was because I felt like I wasnt understanding much when I had interactions with people there or is it because Im burnt out. Either way I really enjoyed when I had interactions with locals and people asked me in korean things like how was my trip going and things like that although those things happened very few times it was what gave me joy. I need to get back to learning because I feel like Im loosing a lot of what I had already learnt, unfortunately
Thank you for sharing your experience with me/us here. 😊 Yes. I felt almost the same as you. After a long break when coming back to the reality, weirdly I started to grow fear of a lot of things that I used to do without questioning. 🤷 Tbh, it took me more than a month to make this video but usually I didn’t spend more than 10 days. 😅 Now, I’m proud of myself at least I uploaded one and felt supported by you and other people here. Yes, just do one small thing you used to do when learning Korean. That could gradually bring you back to your previous study routine! ✨ Then, you’ll feel proud of yourself more. 🍒🤟🏼
I was going to write this in Korean, but I am in Korea (Seoul) right now and jumping from one place to another very quickly. So my ability to think and write is limited. Thank you for this great video! I have debated multiple times if I should give up. I always find a reason to continue. Last week I met a friend in person who I have talked to for nearly a year and connected well with her. It has helped show me a reason to continue. But I have lost count of the times I have almost given up. Learning languages is not easy for me due to a hearing disability, and I been discouraged more times than I like to admit. I hope you continue to be encouraged and make videos, as they are so great!
Wow! I feel so lucky to have this sincere&supportive comment. I’m so touched. 😢 Also, thank you for sharing your experience of learning languages as well. I’m so impressed by how much you tried to keep up with learning Korean even though you had a hearing disability. Yes, I feel like you can find 100 reasons to stop doing something. However, if you can find just one important reason why you shouldn’t stop, it can continue. I think I found that important reason here in people’s comments including yours. 😊 Thank you so much for the support. I’m more grounded now. Hope you can also continue to be encouraged & motivated like now. 💪🏻
@@yisani_kr Thank you! I started learning Korean to prove to myself I could defeat my disability. I have also ran a marathon to prove asthma could not hold me back. I have a history of putting myself in challenging situations. Even so, discouragement comes super easy, but I find victories in little items. I could barely speak English (my native language) when I was 11 years old. My teachers had to wear mics that went directly to a headset I wore, and had to see a speech therapist regularly. I still have trouble hearing and even spelling English words to this day. While I started learning Korean to prove myself better than my disability. The connections I have made with friends since then, and seeing a new culture has become my new driving force. I really want to have conversations with my friends 100% in Korean. Your videos are easy to understand, educational, and calming. I always enjoy them.
@Brolly813 I’m so impressed and touched my your story. 🥹 Your life story humbled me a lot. I’m so inspired, too. I screenshot your comment and kept it in my phone gallery. I’ll see your comment whenever I feel weak about myself and work. Thank you so much again for sharing your story. I can’t express how much I appreciate it. ☺️🧡
@@yisani_kr Thank you! And thank you for posting this video and all your videos! They are all great. I truly believe life is about perspective, and it is one thing we can control. But it is hard to control, even when we are aware of it. Your video is very encouraging. And I am sad to be leaving Korea in a couple days. It is such a great country, that I will return to again.
When I tried to do content creation i did it for a while then left, sometimes it hard to keep the rythm and it could easily lead to burnout. I liked making the videos that was important for me, the views likes stuff are just a plus nothing else to me. Social media reminds me of the concept surplus enjoyment by Lacan its something extra that adds no value really yet we can use that to evaluate or attach meaning to it and make it valuable , the problem with surplus enjoyment is that the main reason that truly fulfill us can be lost leading to a not very genuine feeling of joy and a perception based on numbers and symbols as the determinant of true value(ofc here capitalism plays a role too, as a mode of subjectification) but anyway i could go on im glad you are back 선생님 take care!!!
I read your comment this morning and literally made my day. 🥹 I got energy to get dressed, go to Seoul, film for the next video, and treated myself with some sweet dessert too.😋 My life used to be too simple before starting this channel. I was just a childless crazy cat lady working from home everyday. 😂 Now I have a good reason to come outside and find fun things around me. Also, I could communicate with good people here including you! 😇 Wow! I have so many reasons to keep doing this. Thank you so much for your comment. You’re such a good adviser for me. I appreciate it.🧡✨
