I have been A fan of this band for almost 20 Year's. And for me this is hands down the best album that we have ever gotten from this Legend. I love the growth and the progression. Also. This song is the universes response to A message in A bottle I cast out A few Year's ago wile giving up on someone. This track is so damn haunting. "UNDERSTAND I REQUESTED EVERY DOOR TO CAST OUT." Norma Jean Forever. 💐
i didnt like it my first listen, then i thought about it and i didnt give it a proper chance even though norma jean is arguably my favorite band and easily one of the most played bands for me. after giving it another proper go through, holy fuck... its one of my favorite albums ever made.
Such a fantastic song. The ending is what kills, gets me every time. Thank you Norma, thank you Cory, I thanked Aaron in Phoenix for playing Dirty and left out. It takes a lot to say what matters. It takes a lot to admit when you are wrong and need help, and it takes a hell of a lot of courage to give praise where praise is due.
@@anonymouseovermouse1960 I love how Cory is yelling so much during that part. The third chorus has so much emotional intensity with the bass going bonkers, then you have both guitars doing that high pitched noise, drums completely off the rail.. i also love how you can hear Matt Marquez smashing his snare and toms at the end of the song, then he literally throws his drum sticks over the drum kit, that is perfect.
Lyrics: Balance is everything to me now Eyes closed doesn't make anything disappear So calm on the outside I'm freaking out on the inside Now cast Is inspiration always cutting you down to dust Off easily harmed, never effortlessly manipulated Understand I requested every door to cast Out everything you measure and everything That tries to measure you Balance is everything to me now Eyes closed doesn't make anything disappear Motionless on the outside I'm an avalanche on the inside Now cast Is inspiration always cutting you down to dust Off easily harmed, never effortlessly manipulated Understand I requested every door to cast Out everything you measure and everything That tries to measure you Balance And eyes closed One day I'll be okay I'm gonna be okay Everything is gonna be okay Now cast Is inspiration always cutting you down to dust Off easily harmed, never effortlessly manipulated Understand I requested every door to cast Out everything you measure and everything That tries to measure you Where are you and who told you you were naked?
Hey girl, lol. I’m listening to the album for the first time now, and it’s so amazing, I can’t believe I put it off for so long. This is prob my fav song.
Was listening to the bods podcast interview and heard this was like the deep cut but still the vibe of the album and that’s pretty awesome, love hearing more in depth on the song and album as a whole’s creation and all that
Not sure about what penny margs means. The end lyrics are from Genesis Then the LORD God called to the man, “Where are you?” He answered, “I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid.” And he said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?”

First half of the song is just atmospheric veil with cozy vibe. But then, the song explodes with the full emotional carnage. Tear shredding.
Yep. The way the third chorus gets that descending bassline melody, fantastic

Lyrics:
Balance is everything to me now
Eyes closed doesn't make anything disappear
So calm on the outside
I'm freaking out on the inside
Now cast
Is inspiration always cutting you down to dust
Off easily harmed, never effortlessly manipulated
Understand I requested every door to cast
Out everything you measure and everything
That tries to measure you
Balance is everything to me now
Eyes closed doesn't make anything disappear
Motionless on the outside
I'm an avalanche on the inside
Now cast
Is inspiration always cutting you down to dust
Off easily harmed, never effortlessly manipulated
Understand I requested every door to cast
Out everything you measure and everything
That tries to measure you
Balance
And eyes closed
One day I'll be okay
I'm gonna be okay
Everything is gonna be okay
Now cast
Is inspiration always cutting you down to dust
Off easily harmed, never effortlessly manipulated
Understand I requested every door to cast
Out everything you measure and everything
That tries to measure you
Where are you and who told you you were naked?
This takes me elsewhere levitating 🙌

Can anyone give me an insight about what "penny margs" means?

Thank you very much. I didn't know that
"Penny margs" could be translated as "cheap margueritas" anyone?
