In between 45-47 minutes; the speaker claims that the bandgap decreases for compressive strain and increases for tensile strain but it's not true (or he has misinterpreted)
The correct statement is: The bandgap increases for compressive strain and decreases for tensile strain. (Reference: Chapter 40 of Mark Fox, Radu Ispasoiu, Page #1042)
Kindly correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks

Seems like Prof. Shenoy teaching his Ph.D students. Not great!
