- This one will be an essential one. Maybe a video everyone needs to see, who is just used to shooting the tanks ahead. Pay good attention, it will pay off.

This video was planned for years already - I even tried convincing other youtubers of doing it, long before i put out my first own video. A lot of work had to go into the animations here (also why I didnt put it out earlier).
In my opinion this could be the most essential knowledge about Blitz that everyone needs to master at some point. If you find this video helpful as well, I would appreciate if you shared it with someone who might need it - the algo won't do the work alone :) Anyways, even a thumb up would already help a ton to spread it! Thanks for watching!
PS: One or the other might think that there are some more formations and situations not covered here... Stay tuned for more :)
Great video, only downside is that in practice, the team uga bunga rushes and kills itself in the first 1-2 mins of the game
There are definitely fast paced games as well and seeing the correct application of a formation can get tricky then. You might have to witxz very Quickly from a safe formation to an aggressive one, having the rules of positioning in mind as well. The principles mostly remain the same though. Still, the topic of pushes requires another video that will get more into detail there.
Ich hoffe das sehen auch genug, währe hilfreich. Danke dafür!
Very good explanation, thanks for the hard work. You’ve got another sub!
This video should be mandatory for both new and experienced players. Brilliant
Good stuff lad. I will share it with my clan mates.
Thanks a ton, glad you enjoyed it :)
I'm sure it took extremely long to think of a way to demonstrate the situations you showed in the video. It's very rare to see that much thought in something especially in wotb section. Also done while keeping the video brief. I would appreciate even more detailed longer videos but that's kind of the point of livestreams and asking questions to you on there i guess. This video should be spotlighted in the in game client honestly.
Appreciate your comment, thanks a lot :) yes, it really took a long time. As mentioned, the thought of demonstrating safe and winning formations has been with me for years already, but I lacked the technical skill to demonstrate it in a good way. A lot of time also went into the scripting process here, and it was worth it, I'm at least mostly happy with the result :D
Especially in gaming long form videos don't work too well, but this is part of a series (lineups, maps, tank classes, advanced teamwork) that I hope to cover the most important knowledge with, these videos get special attention, when it comes to the details. But a lot more is planned.
I'm a 56% Avg player and i didn't knew much about map positioning, thanks for letting us know.
I absolutely LOVE the cutting/editing style you feature, great and really informative videos, Kuss 👑.
Danke, freut mich, dass es ankommt :)
Given the video length, this was probably the best way to convey the idea without a longer video. I do think that there should have also been a section about how to react to enemy information, instead of just talking about your own team and positioning. Say if enemies are spotted on a flank, you can immediately utilize that information to know when and where to play more aggressive and assess if you need to run away.
Also the first time I've ever seen anybody really mention the idea of crossfires on youtube. This is the kind of stuff that completely separates superunicums from blue wn8 players. Too many players follow the entire concept of "team must stay together" too closely which results in teams sitting in a ball. That's not how the game is played. Multiple tanks in a single position doesn't make that position any more powerful or effective. It's the crossfires on enemies that actually win games, which can be done on all scales from across the entire map to going around a rock.
This also ties into why the really good players generally just dislike 55%ers because all they tend to do is sit close to you and follow the team around while trying to stay safe and not risk their tank. No matter how mechanically skilled you are, if you can't understand how to effectively create crossfires and sometimes even use your hitpoints to reach those crossfire positions, you will still throw a significant portions of wins away.
Thanks :) I do agree, the pushing part is also very important, could have maybe build in counting still. Something I've mentioned elsewhere already, but I also didn't want to go too much into detail with pushes or baits here, this is more of a basics video for starting points and formations throughout the battle. I've already planned to do videos on advanced teamwork formations/ pushes and tank roles as well, as there I will have to deviate from the standard a lot more. Got to respect the avg attention span on RUclips :D
i highly agree but i think that is based of intuition not gonna lie but please tell me if i am wrong
@@iconic_artefact It's not just intuition, it's about reading the situation and the timing. Like the video says, just knowing good positions won't help you if enemies or allies aren't there for you to fight.
There are some positions which are very reliable in creating crossfires in the majority of matches (think Port Bay medium side corner river crossing) but a lot of the time it's about finding the right position at the right timing while also grasping the situation.
That's why I say that forming the correct crossfire is a superunicum skill that you can't learn overnight. You need three components all working together, positioning, timing, and situational awareness. These skills may be learned individually as you improve, but the last big step is putting them all together at once. If you don't have positioning you will be too vulnerable to damage. If you don't have the timing then you will be too isolated and get counter-pushed. And if you don't have situational awareness your crossfire might not catch any targets at all while worsening your own position.
It's not all intuition, it's a combination of factors which takes a lot of time to learn not only by themselves but also to put together. And of course it won't be perfect all the time and sometimes luck does play a role, especially if you have limited information (like if enemies are not all spotted)
@@Synxwotb true i highly agree to be honest and sorry for bringing something stupid up
Super useful video, great work. Thanks.
Anakin! Do not try it, i have the high ground!!
great tips
Three mediums yoloing, three heavies spawn sniping and me making a one man curved line. What can go wrong?
Jokes aside, still try to find the sweet spot in between your teammates so you can support the yoloing ones and get backup/ quickly move back to your camping ones :)
subbed, will def use these tricks
I wish ALL newer players would watch this, The team play would improve soooo much! Thanks for this video. :)
Good stuff! Merci!
Great video mate, confirmed my thoughts on high ground positions in this game. Keep up the good work!
Thank you :)
Thank you for your head work and the quality of your video.
Nice transitions and color effects, easy2follow guide. I took notes of the map geometry. I will try to maintain the aforementioned curved line and use my trusted ruler to identify the safe formation.
Always plan your next move with a sketchbook at hand ofc
As a 60%-er, I could not agree more. Reading the minimap is one of the most powerful skills you can master in this game. I feel like the positioning tips in this video, mainly applies to heavy tanks, since these formations are focused on holding and breakthrough. Tds and lights have a completely different role. This video covered the basics (and more) perfectly, but i would love to see a more in-depth video, focusing on the four main tank types positioning. (This was one of the most informative videos i'v seen in years. definitely subing.)
Thanks first of all, glad you liked it :) you've got a good point there, for the sake of understanding the basic concept of formations, I restricted the video to mostly heavy tanks that can play aggressively. I've already started scripting two more videos that go along with this one: tank classes and their roles, just as one on advanced teamwork and pushes. Along with the video on Lineups that is already on my channel, these will be the most important guides that I can think of for players of all levels. But ofc a lot more topics are in the pipeline already - just that my video creation process for this kind of guide can easily take more than 15 hours, which doesn't allow for an upload schedule of others who do it in 15 minutes ^^ but stay tuned, reactions like yours give me good motivation to keep going.
Great vid
Nice work bro, i try some move bcs I struggle with survival probably bcs I go alone or my other half team not having cross fire on enemy team and I die early😀this video showing other way of thinking of gameplay, kalestra is right this is should be on offical guide video,, keep up good work
Yes, so many are talking about driving and shooting, I always felt like this tactical part was very neglected in guides (for a good reason, it's not easy to demonstrate). Good luck and thanks a lot :)
Great dude. Really helpful.. idunno In regular battle can be possible not but really useful for tournament...
Also for random games this totally applies. It might be harder to see the patterns, because people aren't aligned what perfectly and someone will always be way too far ahead or behind. But this video isn't supposed to make you rearrange your entire team, it's to enable you to see when you or your teammates are doing bad moves/ are at disk. All you can do is find yourself a comfy spot within the safe formation and then find out the next move.
Hope a maximum number of people visit this video and learn something essential and make the games friendly and effective.. then the success will come out of your video and hardwork... Go ahead mAh boi and guide us more and more... @@N9O
Thanks for doing this video. Great info. This is what RUclips was made for, learning highly specific information from an expert.
Glad you enjoyed it :)
Great Video. But in random doesn't work due to yoloing play style. Still was very informational regarding how to maximise ur survival. Will try to implement and c what results I get. ❤
Haha :D As long as you are following these rules here, you should be safe of getting yoloed. Ofc this is a more theoretical approximation to how teams play, sometimes it gets very weird and you can do moves that fall out of this pattern. For that it is still very important to understand this videos content thoroughly, as I will cover the advanced moves soon.
Good luck :)
Nice
Chapeau - this is high end education for Blitz!
Thank you!
very helpful indeed. if only the entirety of wotb watched this 😅
its like a game seminar for me haha well most of the lesson here is totally accurate. this is the part of Wot that is kind of simulator that casual/clout chasers they dont understand
going in the middle like that wont really be effective if you get nuked by strong hitters camping from the spawn or the bush at your left at the start of the game
Here we go.. Hope these videos help WG player base to improve.. Thx Paul.. Still the Goat of blitz🌹
Formation only works in tournaments because in pugs 3/4 of the team are rtards and refuse to use team work. Its a rare thing to find one person that will work with you....
Keep in mind that the videos purpose is Not to change the entire team, but to help you see risks and opportunities. This way you will be able to move within the safe formation and turn it to a winning formation.
You do not need any form of communication with teammates, it won't work on random battles anyways. Just make sure you are doing your best.
It can be a bit tricky to see the pattern in chaotic random games sometimes, but try to get used to connecting the dots and see where it gets you.
In a perfect world your points make sense...or rather...they would make sense if you were playing in a tournament with team members you could communicate with. In the real world of playing, teams are thrown together each game with no way of even ensuring they all speak the same language....and of course there are always those who play their own game and don't know or don't want to play as part of team. Or there are those who want to control the team to do what they want...which usually doesn't take into account the types of tanks and their mobility....they just want to take control so they can play a game that suits their style. As I said..you made good points...just not for the average throw together game.
Keep in mind that the videos purpose is Not to change the entire team, but to help you see risks and opportunities. This way you will be able to move within the safe formation and turn it to a winning formation.
It can be a bit tricky to see the pattern in chaotic random games sometimes, but try to get used to connecting the dots and see where it gets you. For the sake of making this video understandable, I kept it easy by talking about the basic formations and heavies only (as they can fulfill every role). There are already videos in the making that will be about different roles of tank classes and advanced formations and pushes.
Very good video. Can you make one abaut damge farming aswell? Im 55 wr player which goes 67-72 wr on blitzstars last 2 years. My major problem is farming damge safely. 4 out of 5 games i do decent avarages 2.8 to 3.5k in total but one game despite winning or just losing i do under 1k damge. Sometimes 1 shot sometimes 2. Im scared to make moves and just be too passive. Im mostly strugling on steamrolls. Sometimes i feel like it will be steamroll and than throw my tank for free and do nothing or just be too passive and do no damge. How can i get over with this? Any advices?
Hi, thanks :) I've already done a video about dmg farming here, maybe that helps ruclips.net/video/BprlyapikBI/видео.htmlsi=DH0lAbzIwJunr5fc

Videos and this discussion has been around since the game began...
Only problem in this tutorial is that there's a lot of players that have nothing in their heads. So in tournaments it will be very useful, but in most random games it's useless

@@N9O yeah I know, for beginner this tutorial is great, cause it has very simple things said in less than 10 minutes and they all are correct. I'm hoping that much more players would watch this, so the game was actually very skillful and mm wouldn't be a problem
Cab you give me a give its my birth day🎂🎉🎉🎉🎉
This is too high end for the 40%ers in current mm😂
You won't ever have a perfect team, but at least you will know when you or any of your teammates are at risk with this video hopefully :)

You are welcome
For some reason matchmaking does no give me maps like rockfield, new bay,and yukon
Edit:i recently started to play the game after 1 year of not playing it
They are currently out of rotation. WG decided to take 4 maps out for a few months, they are just being swapped around.

I REFUSE to be a town nub! Ill go and die alone before I go town....
Well, bad news for you, but if you go alone, then you might easily end up being the least helpful player on the field. Dying early is worse than being afk. Towns can be played as well.
Useless truth😂 7 players each has his own stratedy.
As long as you don't know about what is a good or bad position, you can't do better than the others. This videos is meant to help you with finding a good spot, even if the team is playing in ways you have never seen before.

All moot teams are to stupid and stubborn to work together.. no matter how I try to communicate I never get help where I need it … I have been playing from day one and the game has gone downhill… they need to mandate teamwork rewards for going to a called spot or shooting a marked enemy.. and force basic skill test to play above tier 5 like don’t reload in the open or don’t drive your light tank to the front line then cry the team stinks or those e100s with the worst dispersion trying to snipe leaving their teammates with no armor in the formation .. and stay together means close together but not all in the same ally way or behind one rock … different firing position aimed at the same targets called focus fire … no one tries they just drive around all Willy Billy and it makes the game nothing but frustrating and and not a fun experience anymore

They need to bring back losing coin in higher teirs with loses. There is no incentive to do good with the participation awards this game gives now.....
