Nice job. I’ve wheeled my Jeep pretty hard and haven’t come close to hitting the bracket. I thought it would just leave it and it would act as a really strong “slider” LOL

I just ran 6 trails in Utah Moab and didn’t hit it once and I beat the piss out of underneath my 2024 392

Same exact thing happened on the same exact frame bolt for me. haha

As a “semi” expert on all things that corrode, my recommendation is that any bolt/screw that comes out, goes back in, covered in grease…

Could have ground the welds of and then get the bracket off

Does this piece catch on rocks for anyone?! I’ve never noticed it…

Not to be the non fun guy at parties, but you are opening yourself up for liability in an accident you deliberately removed a safety device.

Can I just claim a rock knocked it off while off-road? Though I do totally understand your point. But if this was a 2022 and older it wouldn't of even had this bracket to start with.

@@TylerPotter yeah no worries. Its such a small thing. my 2021 doesn’t have it on. But thats where a civil lawyer or a prosecutor could push the issue.
Say someone like a friend, or you have a gf, riding in the passenger seat. You get into an accident and they are severely hurt or worse dead. Their estate, lawyer or insurance company could come after you because you deliberately removed it. Doesn’t matter that a previous model year didn’t have it as they didn’t know the risk until your model year. And they could argue they wouldn’t have been hurt as bad had it been there.
I’m not saying don’t do it. But the risk is there. I guess any mods we do carry some risk. Hmm my winch weights down the front more, that could cause XYZ. But that is different if I removed the bumper or changed it.

Its funny how the the manufacturers realized they only test frontal offset on one side so they only put the reinforcement on that one side

The other side didn’t need it because of the placement of the driveshaft. The engineers are smarter than you think…
