Intune Training - Intune setup and configuration for enrolling the device

Once Intune subscription is running. we need to make few configuration to enroll device. This includes :
1. Create User on Azure Portal
2. Assigning License to user including usage location
3. Providing permissions for user account to join Azure AD
4. Provide permission to allow enrollment for user.

Once the device is enrolled to Intune (irrespective of being in office or home), they can be managed via Intune. If organization is using VPN solution, then it will be required to establish the session when user is working from home so as they can reach the corporate resources etc.

​@@ManishBangiasir I think vpn doesn't required for this process why because once we registered or joined we can access our organisation data. Do you think vpn is required to connect office network sir?

In Ideal scenario VPN is not required, but if VPN solution is implemented which only allows company resources to be connected if VPN tunnel is established, then it might require. Infact, its a complex question to answer. In a simple layman term (without VPN), we can manage devices while connected to home Wifi.

Hi Manish, I can see only Microsoft Intune , Intune enrollment is not there in mobility (MDM&MAM)

Some tenant may not have this option as this is an Azure AD app which gets created by certain settings, check the link:

You just need Microsoft Intune to enable the Intune. Intune enrollment is required only for MFA during intune enrollment process which is separate topic

Have u done this via MDM enrolled only ? If yes, we shouldn't be using it as it does not join device to Azure AD.
