- Today's video is on the new roblox game arcane odyssey and the various stereotypes around the people who play it. This video is inspired by soundsmiths tf2 (team fortress 2) stereotypes series.

Every character can be unique and built differently. The race doesn't affect the gameplay that much, it only gives a slight buff. By spending attributes points in the different stats (strength, fortitude, intelligence, charisma, willpower, weapon mastery and elements), you can unlock stat-specific talents and mantras when levelling up. Each stat also provides different buffs and can change the gameplay experience greatly. The cards are completely random and you can get better cards (legendary and rare) by getting more lucks (which is obtained by gripping players and killing certain monsters). This basically ensures that you will have a different experience with every different character.
Similar to other RPG games, after creating your character in Deepwoken, you can explore the map, travel on boats to explore other regions, level up and get good. You can obtain weapons, armors and other equipment from chests, and if you are lucky, you might get enchanted gears. It is also possible to get overpowered abilities called resonance or bells, I've never got one because I have skill issues. There are also different Oaths, a character can only have one oath at a time.
There are multiple weapons types: heavy (great axe, hammer, great swords, etc.), medium (sword, katatna, etc.), light (daggers, guns and fist) and 5 different elements (fire, ice, wind, lightning and shadow). The NPCs are quite strong, and a player has to know how to parry, block and dodge properly to not die horribly which is the reason why the game is really hard for beginners who play solo. Anyways, I had a great time grinding, getting roasted when escaping the depths, trying to kill Primadon, dying, having my characters deleted and doing PVP. I had fun trolling others with my 140 damage strong left and vow of mastery. Overall, the game lives up to the hype, and the gameplay is very enjoyable. I was only able to show a small part of the game with this video as I have several other high level characters with other builds. This video is by no means a guide and is not an optimal way to play the game. Like always, this video is filled with a lot of jokes and dead memes and takes the form of a funny moments/funny montage. What is ROBLOX? ROBLOX is an online virtual playground and workshop, where kids of all ages can safely interact, create, have fun, and learn. It’s unique in that practically everything on ROBLOX is designed and constructed by members of the community. ROBLOX is designed for 8 to 18 year olds, but it is open to people of all ages. I've only dived once and it was because there was an explosion blast spammer chasing me for no reason. Also I'm a deepwoken player and the deepwoken player stereotype is wrong, ngl I think pvp cap should be raised cuz pvp is worse than the pve in this game
yeah me too man i love catching really big fish like the colassal squid it can give 200+ hunger and really good buffs when cooked that last 20 minutes long i love fishing honestly one of the best parts of the game 😎😎
I like to make all kinds of meals, from absurdly large, status buffing feasts, to tiny meals made to deliver an effect like invigorating as long as a small meal can offer, to using cursed mushrooms to create increasingly long and strong insanity trips. Especially those. I could try trading those things like some kind of cartel.

You missed the explosion magic fanatic who dumped all their points into magic chasing their next noticeable increase in explosion size. They might also complain about not making a literal mushroom cloud anymore like they did in world of magic, and are quite likely on their way to make every boss arena into a cratered hellscape which is increasingly difficult to traverse. They might also reference characters who cause destruction in any form of media. I’m one of these players, so I’d say I’m a bit of an expert.

You forgot the “Troll”. This type of player will normally sit at Ravenna or any other island where players sail away from, then they will spam their magic spells (they normally use lighting it light) and destroy players ships for no reason, then when the player comes to kill then or confront them they run away like a pussy or get dogged on.

I had one of these in a server I was in. I sunk his ship and killed him, then sent him a cringy L + Ratio message. Honestly not worth it in the long run
Happened to me he said hes curious what would happen if he shot my ship, then i rammed his ship and it deals 2k+ damage making his ship sank by 'accident'(didnt mean to sink his ship)

i love being an npc. if i wasnt chasing treasure scrolls for the last tennish hours i would have been fishing or something. fishing is literally the greatest thing anyone has ever invented, one time in vesteria i fished for a solid hour never moving and someone legitimately thought i was an npc. thinking about going agility so when people inevitably show up to kill me i can just vanish or something, so far complimenting their ships or giving them free food has worked tho. helps that my fame is relatively low (
I should've resetted my fame a long time ago, so I don't have to deal with fame farmers that hop servers and ruin my peaceful fishing time (I won't say their user just in case it's not allowed)
I must admit, I fall into the 'Help me with this boss.' cause;
1) I suck at bosses with my only damage avoiding tactics being Dashing and Blocking then attacking them at poor times.
2) I could not escape being spawnstuck near Argos thanks to the story quest because its in such a strange position to escape the dungeons.
Edit: I manage to solo him and now can do it with relative ease 👍

I was fishing for sunken sword and got pounced by an assassin hunting me. I freaked out sailed off, and the guy gave chase. Fortunately he sucks at ship battles but smh he managed to follow me ship and didn’t run out of stamina at all and got killed as I couldn’t do enough damage (maybe they’re exploiting idk)
You forgot about, "The Arcane Adventures Player", they've played AA and understand how to dodge, and are more friendly towards other players compared to NPCs. They tend to first try nearly every single boss and they tend to go for Savant builds and put most of their stat points into Magic and Strength. They're most likely using Lightning, Shadow, Light, Water, Earth, Fire, and Wind seeing as they prefer using magic they know. And they apologize if they accidentally kill a player, they also seem to be really good at parrying attacks and they don't hide at the bottom of the ocean when low. And they *will* try to help out with bosses if possible but, they would most likely be the ones defeating the boss instead. They've also played WoM and they also like only showcasing a single item in their vanity and they tend to look like they have no gear on. In short, they care for others and know the game well. And I'm one of those players... and I honestly do the main storyline over anything else if possible... Let me know if you want anything rephrased!

I accidently fit the technical side and I've played WoM but never got to AA before it closed down. Still not high enough to do bosses thoroughly.

The "Addict" definitely fits me perfectly, I literally stayed up until 5am just to play it on release time and I haven't played any other game other than AO since release. And to add even more addictiveness I played for 16 hours straight yesterday. I have RoPro extension and it I played for 80 hours in the last 7 days, Phenomenal video btw.

I somewhat fall in the "World of Magic Player" thing- Just because I did play world of magic before and it was super cool for me. Even if I didn't actually get that good gear, I was at least prepared when I got to higher levels I didn't need to grind for decent armor. I went beserker, and juggernaut before that (I went through the game blind, and didn't know that vitality absolutely sucks because your HP scales with your Lvl), and all I can say is that fast, ranged bosses are a nightmare. (Looking at you King Calvus.)
But if I could ever put in a sterotype, it would be something to call me out. Let's say the "Melee only."
These people are the type to go only melee because they think it's cool. With weapon clashing to just barraging the enemy with your fists/legs seems pretty epic. Anddd that's how they also fall into the "help me with this boss," because they can never seem to beat king calvus without a help from any magic user at all.
(Small experience, I once got into a server with an Ice Mage who was trying to beat the boss too, I joined him, we went for around 2-3 tries and beat him. Props to you, whoever that may be.)
Continuing with what I said, Melee only players tend to rely on shot and crash for beating bosses and farming, ram whenever they need to grind boats, and run around when they're low because fuck going underwater, I don't have sunken gear, and the fact that they're up close to anything so they complain why their HP is already so low. *This is literally me*
Nothing else to say, I did this comment at 9:00 PM after watching the video, lmk if I need to edit anything.
I also fondly remember playing world of magic. Never got anything huge, and instantly deleted the WOM saves when AO came out because I knew I was never going to get immersed in the game while playing them.
Seriously, the naming system is so simple and so fun to play around with.
As for my own personal stereotype, I _love_ getting immersed in the game's aesthetics, stories, and extra activities (the rival system in particular is really cool and I hope the devs expand upon it). On the other hand, interacting with other players isn't on my to-do list, and I don't want to have to fear players picking fights with me out of nowhere.
I still can't come up with a quick witty name for the stereotype, but I'll just go with the "wait a second this isn't a single player game"
@@HumanTooth Really nice, I also remember one time where I a villain player spawned in and I realized it was a max level guy with 8k bounty. He hit me with a sword move (I think it was twin crescent slash), and I just ran away realizing. I didn't really want to fight anyway, knowing that my ability to PVP was pretty mid. Nontheless, thanks for sharing.

Is "sailor" counted as NPC? I insanely love ship fights here (uh, in case i love any kind of ship fights; big Sea of Thieves fan). Ramming ships, rekting crew, opening lot of chests and finally... building the best ship in history is *hella* addicting. Everything with shanties playlist

Don't think this is a stereotype but there's me the "Arcane Reborn" Refugee who went into the game due to reborn not living and still thinks that galleons might change the price value and fishes a lot plus the fact that cargo and the other "new" features kinda look weird (and feel weird). Also is the same with the Arcane Adventure Users who will use more recognizable magic but will probably also use plasma (cause Verdies) and magma (cause of Trigno). Idk might just be me in my opinion. These are also probably the first people who will immediately try to punch air or cast spells 2 seconds the moment they get in the game only to realize the leveling system isn't Reborn's.

I fall under the "Help me with bosses" & "NPC" except for just doing fishing.
As someone who lags a lot, I prefer very peaceful things such as fishing. I like to fish while finding ppl to trade with. And I don't like engaging in fights, so I might seem more NPC?? If that's a stereotype in game. Since 70% of what I do is cook, fish and collect treasures.
As for the bosses, the reason is the same. I lag too much. At the moment the King was very hard for me to hit since he's fast at dodging, so I asked for a friend who coincidentally join my game.

Seeing you having trouble with lady Carina pains my heart. Just equip the rusty claws or metal claws or whatever claws you can get your hands on.
And spam the E move (the rapid claw one) along with magic and your other weapons moves. The key is to do continuous damage in order to counter her regen

There should have been an "American" stereotype, where they are warrior builds that restrict themselves to ONLY gun weapons like flintlock and muskets, but I can rarely see anyone using this kind of build because it's not ideal of a weapon set and it's pretty much useless in pvp. But still, it would be funny.

Guns may be shite in pvp, *but oh man* are they great in pve. The musket is a godsend against bosses.

About the people who run away when they get ganked: While I don't have the sunken helmet, the game lags for me a lot (even at 1 graphics and lowest settings). I can barely crack 50 fps on an island, and it feels like every player who cares enough to hunt others is a sweat who grinds the game like hell. If I see a navy player or flying slash in chat, you know damn well that im hitting da bricks because there is no way me or my laptop will survive that encounter. I've even had people gank me right when I join, when the game is still loading and I have like 5 fps. PVP isn't really my thing, especially since parts of the AO community come from toxic playerbases (deepwoken for example) and the lack of balance (pulsar, glad I haven't seen it yet). I also don't enjoy the combat enough to put such high stakes on it. Turns out some players like to enjoy the game without committing every ounce of your free time to practicing and grinding (which is why I'll never join a player clan).
I fall into the "world of magic player" but in a weird way... Like I didn't have good gear when I played it, but my mechanics were oddly good that the bosses seemed easy. Also for people who try going meta builds. Just don't. Experiment with your magic and stuff instead. It will work since some people have different builds for their magic (even if they have the same specialties like conjurer or warlock)
I definitely fall within the deepwoken player category because my main gripe with the game is really how ass the parry feels to use and melee being really disincentivized in pve. It always seems super unresponsive unless I slam the key several times. Its also really weird how melee is just seems so weak compared to magic, the latter gaining the same damage potential as melee later on if not more while losing zero hp cause you're long range and can invalidate melee by just using your leaps.
Of course, there's the often given answer of just "get better" but why do that when I have an option available right at the start of the game that makes it infinitely easier by simply never engaging with the poor melee mechanics of this game?

Melee is actually quite op as actually, try using greatsword
Melee / close range focused builds (warlock, warlord, warrior, berserker, etc) actually have a much higher dps output than mage at max level. It’s just significantly harder to properly use them to their fullest potential, hence the surplus of mages. But warrior is actually the single strongest build in the game atm, able to do close to 300 damage a hit while also going full tank and having close to 2000 hp.
Admittedly I fall under the NPC category, the magic and fighting is fun but whatever game I play, if there's fishing involved, I'm there, just catching fish and cooking them. Hell, I've done this in Runescape too for years and halfway to 99, completely ignoring other skills....just fishing.

This game is the funnest form of agony one could achieve, only keeping me by teasing me with a good treasure scroll once every few hours.
As tank fish once said "if you can't beat them join them it's as simple as that" If you see someone do the sunken method don't whine about it put on your own sunken helmet and hunt that person down. Put fear into their hearts.

You missed the Nerds, they check trello, wiki, youtube vids, and join vc to get information on the best magic combinations with best stats and sword and move customization. You also miss the I cant make my own decision players, this are the players that dont know that question channel, and trello exists. They ask in general, "what magic do I go" "where do I find merchant ships" what is the best....in the game?" "how do I do this... how do I do that?" when all this questions would have be answered if they checked trello or play the game for more than 10 seconds.

Another one could be the ‘chaotic’ people who only aim to destroy other players ships. I’ve encountered one of these, he was an absolute coward who ran away after I clapped him. After this he didn’t even try to get away, he just decided to continue to ram my boat. Btw, there was nothing on my boat to steal and we were on the same fame so he had literally no reason to do this.
I am partly the dude who is scared to do a boss by himself. I ask people on the discord if they can help me and then try to attempt it myself. I actually attempt it myself before I even do anything.

These guys are usually good at both pve and pvp and if you wrong them, they will get back at you no matter what. You wanna sit at the bottom of the ocean? i had an opposate one of those in my game today, he asked if i could lend him some money, i said no because i was saving to upgrade my build, and he decided to try and damage my ship to make me waste money. bad news was, he was lvl 88 and i was max so i obliterated him

I had this one guy attack me just because i popped on my aura because maybe he taught i was gonna attack (I was a level 110 mage and he was a max conju) and he got hit by 2 ult arts and dipped the hell out. When I saw him again I spammed him with spells until he dipped again and again.
some lvl 121 guy killed my lvl 80 when i went to ravenna to get a chart(he chased me around the entire island for literally no reason spamming 1 move), i rejoined on my max intensity magma-ash "pyroclastic flow" build and hunted him down, he ran and hid so i hired another guy to help find and kill him(which he did, good lad) and when his clanmate(lvl 125 snow mage) tried to turn on me i killed him too, taking my money back and using an alt to transfer it back to my other file

I had to get help with King Calvus cause i kinda locked myself to fight him, this boss did let me, a 24 year old man, cry cause of the amount of struggle I had. I was around the minimal level to do that story quest and my gear was not that great as i have not farmed WoM for proper gear. I have Soloed every boss before King Calvus with General Argos and Lady Carina taking me a few try's before finally beating them.

Here’s a stereotype: The cosplayers
They create files exclusively to imitate characters from AA and WoM, they make their ship colors the same as “The Shining King”, choose the sailor crew over Ravenna deserters, and never use boss drop sets that they haven’t fully collected.

I hate to admit this but I’m sort of the “help me with boss” person when it comes to Elius, Carina and Calvus all the others I can handle on my own
I literally just joined today and from level 1 I went up to 105 in 4-5 hours. Its a pretty fun and really entertaining game, I loved the story and the skills too, it does have a bit glitchy or weird things in it like when you try climbing a building you can't climb it normally cuz of obstacles but meh its fine, I love the game and yea I related on the first stereotype. They either give up or become greater, the grind never stops lol

also for "the edgelord", the funny thing is, light and dark have the WORST synergies with each other. both of them have status effects, and both status effects decrease the damage of its counterpart by 40%. lmao
Took me a while to figure out the king but all it took was getting more defense and keep consistently running for me to get the dub. I still block fyi.
I also play conjurer, but I'm playing it right with the goal of 30 magic 220 weapons I won't elaborate how.

I probably fall into the "World of Magic" Player, but like I didn't really have the best gear anyway prior to the revamp, and wasn't min-maxed either. Though I gotta admit, Lord Ellius was a literal reality check cuz he ganked me at least 10-20 times even with my "best" WoM gear in my first slot (was max level as well prior to AO.) That frick fest of dying to Lord mosquito was a good incentive to farm Ellius for way better gear though. I can never get bored of this version of the game for some reason, been a while since a game has got me THIS hooked.
im the wom enjoyer but instead of having trying for high hp items (already had) i was focused on getting back my 100-200 magic size (i scale palo town with one explosion max size and ultimate art for now)

I used to be the "help me with this boss". On my first walkthrough:
-i needed help with Elius
-i needed help with Argos
-soloed Carina after a week of pain
-i needed help with Calvus
But on my second playthrough after playing Dark Souls and Bloodborne:
-i STILL needed help with Elius cause god he's a damn mosquito, i can't keep up with him, his heal is horrible and his spear hits you from 5 miles away and cannot be predicted, i hate him
-i would've seloed Argos but there was a guy doing the mission like me so we teamed up against him (i did most of the work)
-soloed Carina on my first try (still as unpredictable as Elius but at least THERE AREN'T PILARS SHE CAN USE TO JUMP AROUND, so you just keep your distance and use ranged weapons and she won't be a big problem)
-soloed Calvus on my first try (i love Calvus as a boss, much like a FromSoft boss, you must learn his pattern of attacks and punish him when he strikes, and he happens to have the most predictable pattern of all the bosses so besides the destructable floor that can sabotage you, it's a fair boss and if you can't beat him you gotta farm more and git gud)
Id say the NPC one is completely wrong, cooking gives the best buffs in the game, fishing and cargo give you major moneys and fighting ships for loot gives you massive xp, money and scrolls including lost equipment such as pulsar, vindicator and axe slash also more ship gear
Fame is also useful same for bounty if you want beter deckhands or rank up in the syndicate or navy which give private bank benefits and in the future will give more rank based benefits

That one ice/magma player that runs to the ocean when they're low. You know what happens next and its annoying. which is why I use it(like dude I don't wanna fight your sweaty, unshowered, 30 parries per frame ass on my 400 ping laptop)
I will admit, I still am the "help me with the boss pls" guy. But I know this, I'm trying to get better at soloing bosses. Hell, I be doing a good job and manage to put the boss to half overall health. But I hate it when they pull the healing per time thing, like Elius and Carina. Along with the fact that they are moving too fast for me to hit them. You can say, it's a skill issue and I accept that, but you can't call me one thing, a quitter. (Also, I'm currently a lightning conjurer and I this kinda plays into my skill in the game, but I definitely getting better.)

I'm actual NPC cuz i enjoy fishing in the game more than in real life 😭 ever since Magic World got that update i was collecting every fish. Joining Arcane Odyssey, i noticed all my fish were rotten so it somewhat made me sad. I still fish just for fun while also "trying" to follow the story line. I'm lvl 80+ and i have yet to fight the second boss.
I forgot AA also got fishing, but i never gave it a try cuz back then i had too much fun being a bounty hunter.

I talked to one of those fishing NPC's he was level 65 when i asked him if he would like to deliver cargos with me. We are friends now and he wants to be a conjure just like me. Hopefully he learns to play the game better.

I’m the one singular Paladin player in the entirety of the community patiently waiting for my life-steal spirit weapons. Everybody dogs on me and calls me ‘weak’ and ‘noob’ because I’m basically a watered down mage but once spirit weapons drop, imma bouta be one of the 4 Overseers.
There is also the roleplayer, they sometimes are edgelords or weebs, maybe both, but anyways, roleplayers like to, well, roleplay, they usualy like to roleplay as heroes or villains depending of their reputation, they will get extremely mad if you don't roleplay with them.

u forgot the weird lore ppl who make their characters COMPLETELY accurate to their lore to the point of changing attacks (size, amount, yada yada) or choosing certain fighting styles and/or weapons just bc it fits the character, totally not talking abt me.. (i make my magic attacks big-ish and w big amounts bc my oc, Aleksi, cant control his magic correctly, made all of his casting styles use his left hand bc thats the arm that he has imbued w magic (lore stuff), picked sailor style since it would make sense that he picks it to calm his anxiety, and now i only need an item that i will actually use AND that gives me insanity 1 so that it makes the oc completely accurate (Aleksi lost some marbles when he saved his village from a pirate raid that almost ended w the whole village))

Yea I forgot about all the stereotype's and I'm too bored to try and find but yea I'm just gonna tell thing's of me in the game and you tell me my stereotype, I'm a plasma user that uses weapon's and magic, I put a few point's on vitality to be stronger but not a bit on strength, I sometime's struggle doing quest's and leveling up and sometimes I need help in fighting a few bosses, the noble thunder mage boss guy is my least fav boss cuz he's too fast and too strong, I sometimes travel to fight off pirate's, help castaway's, find merchant and find treasure, but somehow I get bounty just for doing something I didn't even knew was a thing, I sometimes get too angry of the marine's and ravenna ensign's targetted me and destroying my sailboat so there was one time a ravenna BIG BOAT and a marine sailboat sinking my ship so I soloed them all with anger issues, I sometimes get targetted while doing a random quest. What stereotype am I? Please tell me just do it.

Honestly when AO released, I played like 10 hours straight a day and got to like 90 hours on my main file and then got burnt out.
As a fame dude I do it to not to get chased down and killed when I accidentally explode the town hall :P
The one time I was diving to escape a max level player was because I got ambushed for no reason, I didn't want to fight and I didn't even say anything besides asking him to stop wrecking my ship and I had to dive with a water breathing potion to escape him or her and it worked, I know that this vidéo is just a list of stereotypes that aren't all real but I'm just pointing this out so that I don't feel insulted for some reason(I genuinely don't know why the divers stereotype made me feel insulted lol)
