- Teddy (Kim Raver) thinks everyone who has died in her life has been because of her, but Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) explains that that's impossible. Owen (Kevin McKidd) thanks Amelia (Caterina Scorsone) for her help and finds that Teddy has gotten out of bed. Watch 'Grey's Anatomy' on ABC and Hulu, streaming and on demand.
Idk why they kind of talk about Henry as if he wasn’t a great love in her life. That was the best version of Teddy tbh. Teddy with Henry was EVERYTHING.
Teddy barely had any scenes when she was with Henry. Now that she gets screen time she’s annoying? Hm
I loved her with Henry. She was the best version of herself with him.
The Reason behind Teddy's condition was about her feeling guilty. However in case of Henry she doesn't feel guilty coz he met her in already bad health condition. And also teddy was not the one operating on him..... She is not consumed by her sorrow but guilt.

People need to give Teddy a break. Almost every character in this show has been unfaithful or worse at some point and they were all forgiven.
I'm not mad at Teddy. The way everyone makes out Owen to be the victim is hilarious. It's like they don't know this man's history, lol. It's what he deserves
@@JavannaCampbell absolutely true
it's because teddy always had high morals about cheating which is why people are very hard to forgive her
Okay and so do others what original comment still stands. Derek was all against it and basically went back to Allison when he clearly loved Meredith (And then there was that co-worker storyline in S11), Izzie/George did it (which i despise but I gotta mention it), and obviously Owen like yea...she ain't the first and let alone the worst. @@jyslog
We found someone who cheats on their boyfriends 😂😂😂
Teddy clearly has been suffering from PTSD ever since Allison died and she never addressed or realised. She just moved on and tried to live when you fully cannot if u dont address them and move forward. She is clearly inlove with Owen. If any of you doubted it, this episode is the clear proof that Owen is the one for her and not Koracic
To be frank, I don't think tom could handle her and her ptsd
@@elonmcgaugh1815 only owen understands cuz he has been there ans knows how to help her through it. Tom too lost his son so he migh get it but i feel more owen will cus he knows allison and was there all those years, he knows teddy well and she knows him and she would feel more confortable with him making him better equipped at handling it

@Lettie Breal OMFG! She didn't cheat on Henry cause she didn't have time he died. She cheated WITH Tom. Irs like Meridith said " you used Tom" no reason to cheat on him.

I agree, but I think that’s Caterina’s ability to have chemistry with literally anyone on the show. She’s awesome!
@@michaeldavis-riley6290 omg yes
Forever will say they belong together. Their Chemistry is superior.
No flashback scenes with Henry kinda disappointed me. Only mentioning his name seems like downplaying their relationship. Overall a bit strange episode, probably there would be some follow up of this one in the coming ones.
We saw the entirety of their relationship though.
Honestly they make it like she wasn’t in love with him - they’re talking about him as if he was just a reaction to losing Owen. That’s so disrespectful considering Henry is still Teddy’s best and most authentic relationship.
It was nine years ago. Probably more since Greys timeline is all over the place so ofc she wouldn’t have flashbacks
I ALSO felt that way but I realized that Teddy had already overcome Henry's death, remember that Cristina helped her to realize that she could not have done anything, however in Allison's case she still felt guilty; but I admit that I would have liked to see a scene of them together but forgive them because they at least mentioned it
The Reason behind Teddy's condition was about her feeling guilty. However in case of Henry she doesn't feel guilty coz he met her in already bad health condition. And also teddy was not the one operating on him..... She is not consumed by her sorrow but guilt.
No matter how good or bad you have it, wake up each day thankful for your life. Someone somewhere else is desperately fighting for theirs.

"There is no joy without pain" that hit me hard🤧❤
I know Sandra doesn’t want to return but Cristina returning and beIng the cardio god that she is and teaming up with Teddy and Maggie (but esp Teddy: Cristina learned so much from a Teddy and Vice versa and went through a lot together).
Plus, this is MEREDITH. Cristina would do whatever it takes to save her. Sandra really should return for at least a few eps and that’s what ends up saving Meredith. I’m not saying that Cristina is the only cardio surgeon in the entire world that could save her, but making THIS the moment that we could finally see Sandra as Cristina again would just be so special.
They could even have a similar moment to when Cristina was the first person Meredith saw and spoke to when she had woken up after nearly dying of drowning and hypothermia back in season 2.
Sandra could literally just spend a day filming in her own home or hotel room and film some zoom calls as Cristina talking to Mer (when she is awake) or talking to Teddy or OWEN. Now THAT would be interesting. I think Sandra is just completely over Grey’s now though and doesn’t want to be associated with it esp now that she has such an amazingly successful and award winning show (Killing Eve).
Her tv show has just been cancelled. So maybe she will come back for the final 🤷🏻♀️
She might do a cameo in the finale, but she is not reprising this role. Sandra Oh has loved and played this character to perfection. Her and Shonda have had fights about what their views on the characters. She brought a character to life with passion and dedication. And I know she would like Cristina to stay that way. She doesn't need to drop in just to appease us no matter how bad we want her to. It's not about filming schedules. She doesn't want to play a character she's done with and has put away. It's for the best. New writers would make her boring and annoying.
@@Mini-Toast_ - @sjlaing March 26, 2021 - Sandra Oh's Killing Eve TV show final season will be this up coming season 4 so, Sandra is STILL on the show. I think it is being filmed now. Teddy needed this redemption arc. Her character was getting such a bad rap and now with this episode, I really feel connected to her as a good character.
How is everyone dead but owen I'm almost certain he's immortal
Bahhahaha...my thoughts exactly
My question, really! Why Deluca and not Owen? Deluca had more to show .. to give! Even not related to Mer. I wish there had been more about Henry
Trauma impacts people differently. Teddy's trauma is deeply rooted in loss. She didn't mean to hurt and deceive Owen. I always thought Owen of all people would understand Teddy's trauma. This was a really good episode that raised awareness for PTSD. I was surprised at why Henry wasn't mentioned. Did he play no role in Teddy's life?

" i'll do my best " meredith grey 2021
This episode makes so much sense to me.. pain hides.. until it cant hide any longer and then you have to work it out. She has finally worked it out.
I agree owen should forgive teddy but forgiving someone is diffent then deciding to have a relationship with them. I think Owen can get to a point of understanding and forgivence but he may also realize for both of them this is toxic
They kinda breezed past Henry, but Teddy and him were one of Grey’s most iconic couples.
True but teddy doesn’t feel guilty about Henry’s death as much as delucas and Allison’s death because she feels responsible for both of those death while Henry was already dying when teddy met him
I love how Meredith says I’ll try my best to not die-
Teddy's father's death bruised her, her mom's death fractured the bruise, Allison's death broke the fracture wide open. Teddy is the walking wounded.
The end of the chapter: Teddy holding Allison with a clear relief is so moving, I loved the episode.
meredith and teddy’s friendship is so underrated
i feel like there wasn’t much of a friendship to their characters- teddy only associated with meredith if had to due with work, owen or cristina, and a casualty
I’m so glad to see her getting a healing arc. She’s been sad and hurting for so long.
I had a similar experience like this. I had a lengthy phase when I just lied down all sad, hurting, then in a blink of an eye, I feel like everything is recovering along me with it. I feel that finally I’m gonna be okay. Sometimes, for a few people, recovery can start in a snap.
the song is Staralfur by Jonsi, in case anyone was wondering! I love how serene and emotional all of his music is ❤
Beautiful song, I loved how it was used in The Life Aquatic.
Hello thank you so much for your love and great support towards my career I'm so grateful
Thank you
@Leah Chaphe I love the work they did for We Bought a Zoo
Thank you-- I just Google Translated the lyrics and the whole set made sense. "I wear the blue pajamas ..." it's like the whole set was designed with the song in mind.
The ending of this episode felt really odd as if Teddy was just magically fixed. Hopefully this isn't the end of her healing arc and we will see her getting therapy and tangible help but it seemed like some fluids and an pep talk and she was okay.
Yessss. Andrew's character was necessary on the show to put it out there that with help, the correct help, one can live with a mental disorder. It's the same with Teddy. I really want to see her in therapy and going through the proper channels to get help. That's so important for a show like Grey's that has talked about so many amazing things.
I don't think they meant it as she was magically fixed, they made a point to show that she always ran from pain implying that all this time she was forcing herself to appear okay when she really wasn't, i think this was just her snapping herself out of it like she always did, she will probably and hopefully seek therapy especially with owen looking after her he will likely convince her to get help since therapy did help him with his PTSD. Not everyone with PTSD and/or depression show signs to the world, many continue on as though everything is fine and sometimes they have moments of break down and pull themselves out of it because thats what they do they fight it, like they are showing with teddy. With Deluca she at first did try to act like she was okay she went to work and tried to push through but this time she couldn't. This episode shows that for several years she pushed aside all her feelings and convinced even herself that she was okay as a way to cope. Many people do i think thats why they made this episode to show that mental health isn't always so obvious and how it is for those that are good at pretending everything is okay when it's not.
@@ac.car88 i love this take on this episode
"Starálfur" by Sigur Rós is ALWAYS a great choice 🎶

“Ill do my best” i love Meredith
I have high hopes for this. I know I shouldn't because it's Grey's, but I do. I really want Teddy to be ok. Maybe with some healing, she and Owen could work. I was starting to REALLY pissed off with their storyline until this. They've loved each other for decades. Let that be enough.
Teddy used to be my favorite but when she came back I didn’t like her anymore. Now I don’t know how I feel about her, I think I like her again. Amazing acting Kim Raver 👏👏👏
Off topic but baby Allison is so cute
The ending to this episode was so weird.
Like she has her trauma to deal with, and suddenly after that scene with Meredith and the bodies, she just wakes up? What? There was no real resolution, there wasn't any closure or internal issues resolved.
It feels like they didn't want to continue the story into another episode so they just fastforwarded it.
So true
She most likely going to therapy
Yeah, this episode was not what I was expecting...I feel like this was supposed to be her redemption episode but it mostly just felt like a filler episode
Yeah Ioved the episode but the ending didnt make any sense
I feel like the ending just shows the beginning of her healing. Of course, like the other characters in this show, she won’t just snap out of it. It will still probably (and hopefully, story-wise) have lots of effects on her and it will show in the next episodes. The ending was probably some symbolism thing they wanted to do. Plus Teddy hugging Leo for the first time again really means a lot especially in her healing process
Absolutely. Everything in life isn't your fault. You don't control everything.
Baby Allison 🥺❤️
Ok teddy isn't my favorite character, but I love the passion the actress puts behind her and I feel the bigger issue has been giving her a plot. When she isn't in a love triangle, she's had a dying husband. Why hasn't she gotten a ptsd arc like Owen, and her friendship with Arizona and Christina are both fun. I loved her mentoring Christina early on, truly the best teacher she had. I hope with this beginning to resolve, she can finally move on to a new and different story no centered around a love interest
It’s amazing that Meredith even though Meredith is on a ventilator she is still part of the story, experiencing what the other doctors are experiencing and helping with her words of wisdom. I can’t wait for the episode when she gets to wake up and talk to everyone about her experience “on the other side”?
Side note: I’m surprised at Owen, considering all the hell that he put Teddy through, with Beth, Christina, and Amelia? Really?
Mer: ‘Come on Teddy... let’s leave this place’
Then Teddy gets out of bed and returns to life.
even though Teddy did Owen wrong, let's not forget how in previous seasons Owen always made her the second or third choice, Cristina, Amelia then her. He really isn't the greatest person towards her. I'm not excusing her, and saying Owen's reaction is unwarranted but, I really thought that he was extremely HYPOCRITICAL🙂.
One of the best episodes 🤍🤍🤍
I think it's time for Owen and Teddy to sit down and talk about their issues and move forward. Truth be told Teddy doesn't love Owen. He is and has always been her emotional crutch/safety net. He is the safe choice. She needs to learn how to deal with her grief without being self-destructive.
Didnt really care for Teddys portrayal. I think she did love Henry and Tom. I dont think she loves Owen as more than a friend. She loves him but is not in love with him.
I’m gonna eat this comment up. THAT LAST SENTENCE!!…A chilly fact.
Idk why know i kinda feel sorry about Teddy now. Hope Teddy bein good person. 🙏
When mer said "don't say me I'm not dead yet"
What I’m going to say might be shocking or weird for you but I think about it since a long time. I think most of people don’t like Teddy because she’s not the character they wanted to return in the show. And it doesn’t have any link with her storyline. If you don’t believe me, look at the comment section. People are litteraly getting mad because there is a whole episode about Teddy and, because of that, now people will appreciate her, and hate her less (???). This is not right. Yes Teddy isn’t April, Teddy isn’t Lexie. But damn, writers and Kim Raver especially put so much effort to build this character and you don’t let her any chance to, at least, surprise you.
About this episode, it seems like some of you just watched it with an eye closed or what? The same who are saying it’s boring were crying during 15x19. And so when it’s about Teddy, then mental health is not as much as important anymore? Yeah, it definitely has something to do with the return of Kim Raver, not the character. It might be a little bit confused but I think there are some relevant points here.
Teddy is the REAL 007.
It was a deep and beautiful episode
Felt bad for teddy but Meredith was so beautiful this episode
This episode is one of the best of the show
I think so too 😘
Kim Raver did a great job 👏👏👏👏👏👏
She’s amazing in this.
I don’t understand how/who hires the kids for the shows, but damn they deserve a raise. Baby Allison looks like a perfect mixture of Teddy and Owen. And baby Ellis looks like a perfect mixture of Mer and Derek. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Also Patrick and Caterina look like they can be siblings in real life.
This hit me in so many levels 😭
I hate Amelia and Owen as a couple. But as friends? The chemistry is definitely there. They love each other but are not in love with each other.

Do you remember the moment when Teddy's mon dies and Teddy is with Allison? She must have been felt depressed and sad and grieving but instead she kissed Allison - mixing grief with kiss.
I don't know the right ways to grieve but at that moment she run away from pain
I'm so close to the end but this episode almost made me drop the show after 33 years!
I hate how pretentiously righteous this show is. No one's ever at fault for anything, zero accountability, everyone for some reason gets a pass for being a trash human being. We get preached to for their characters' trashy decision making and behaviours. No wonder it's been on air forever, cos it's a reflection of how terrible the society has become.
Than you same thing I was saying. Owen was the only one who took accountability for cheating on his spouses people can hate him but he always told them and never gaslighted them into what he did was right. Everyone else just gets a pass bc they have a mental health problem or they found their true love. Cheating is cheating especially on your wedding day. I hope he still hold her accountable mental health and ptsd doesn’t cause you to cheat, that’s a poor ass excuse to cheat on someone. I honestly feel bad for Owen bc I feel like everyone is gonna blame him or something. I’m happy teddy is gonna get help but she needs to see where she went wrong. I hate how they normalized cheating in this show and then justify it. You make ships outta these people and they end up breaking up, getting a divorce, or forgiving each other. And people saying he should just forgive her just plain stupid
@@javenlovelol2177 plus the justification is a lie, the relationship with her dead gf also started out as cheating, now they want to act like that didn't happen and just blame her shenanigans on PTSD. They ruined her character with all the stupid uneven backstories, the least they could have done was get her to take responsibility for her actions, not make her some sort of second coming Messiah. And they always get Amelia to deliver the stupid unreasonable speeches. She's become so annoying that I can't stand her scenes anymore; the anger tantrums, the blame games, and her constant need to sound righteous even when she's in the wrong. They've all become self absorbed A-holes creating excuses for their messes.
@@Tee9156 Thank you the unnecessary hate Owen receives for cheating when he actually did what was suppose to be is beyond me. People with ptsd don’t just cheat on their partners bc of a dead one. She never cheated on Henry. It just pisses me off how little accountability people will take and then blame it on someone else. And haven’t you noticed how the grey stans treat Maggie, Owen, and Deluca before his death like crap. They swear people are tryna replace other characters when their not. Also no one has held Christina accountable with her cheating on Owen multiple times and then never telling him which just made me gag. Addison was all miss entitlement when Derek was cheating when she was still sleeping with Mark when he left. These characters are a bunch of hypocrites and they don’t even realize. Amelia was wrong in this whole entire scene it really aggravated me with that dumb ass comparison of choking someone with cheating to excuse Teddy. And how the hell can you get ptsd from someone dying and then you start cheating because of that.
Im totally agree whit you.. This show s reflects how bad our society is. Nobody taking responsibility for they're behavior.... Liers are liers. Should be ilegal to cheat. (at least people get afraid to the penalty and know that is something bad to do) why is so hard for some humans to be honest whit them selves and whit others.. Why? I dont understand.. Life can be easy and simple whit clear straightforward communication... Well this show reflect how fuck up our society is... And is a huge success cause the public project them selves in the characters... Aniway.. Sorry for grammar. English is not my main language.
@@gabycuri3197 I understand what you said clearly and I agree. People on this show cheat like it’s a game and then when buoy loose your suppose to get over it like that. They will hold one person accountable for something they did but won’t hold anyone else. Society has led us to believe that being toxic is letting your man/women/person cheat on you and you taking them back and it’s a reoccurring cycle. I like how greys is bringing attention to real world people problems within ourselves and this country. But I don’t think they should replace an actual mental illness and say that’s what caused someone to cheat and lie to their partner constantly. She cheated and lied just let it be that, it’s like she’s guilting people to feel bad bc she has lost her very first gf. I understand the pain that comes with losing someone you love. But her losing Allison had nothing to do with the fact she cheated on Owen. She wasn’t ready for him when he was ready for her, and now that she has gotten caught it’s a mental issue. I wish everyone on this show would just take accountability for the fact they hurted someone they love wether their love one cheated or not. It’s just gross at this point and it’s all childish

Owen and her named their daughter Allison bc Owen didn’t know the extent of hers and teddy’s relationship until earlier this season I believe
The Allison crap was boring
@@judithryle2113 it was important to show I think because they wanted to establish that Teddy had a tendency to run into deep relationships only when she wanted to escape grief. The whole point of this ep was she needed to get therapy for that I think.
I loved Teddy and Henri, but I still am routing for Teddy and Owen. I would love them to work things out, slowly, by going for therapy together, and Teddy getting help for her PTSD as well. This would be a great time for April to come back for a visit. Owen and April had such a beautiful friendship. April could give Owen some insight and maybe Teddy as well.
