Nicely fished as ever Iain, good to see you catch, loved the golden light on the water, and at the end you could have had that whopper with just a bit of luck, next time eh!!. Cheers, Peter.

just started watching, waters on the decrease fish will be moving, fly selection is good, fishing the tail of the pool is always good in high water, lol the other side always looks better (it isnt) i think if they're running then the centre is the hot spot and you have that covered. you will have to pop over for a coffee and pick up these other flies i have for you.

Is that a Danielsson reel Iain? Thinking of treating myself to one for my 40th this year. How do you find it?

Hi Mate. Its a reel by a company called Bison. Its a good reel I like it apart from the fact it doesnt make a clicking noise when It goes back. I like the effect of the sound when a fish runs and you hear the reel go. I like the reel. I think its a medium range reel price wise. I bought it second hand like I do alot of my fishing gear so not sure how much they are new. Certainly does the job. Hope that helps. I like your videos too

It was a baby salmon Ian. Forked tail rather than spade. Another enjoyable video thanks.

small seatrout /finnock often have forked tails, the spade does not fully develop until mature but this wee fish did look like a big parr / next years smolt
