can not believe the price on the second place- beautiful and ready to go. I would have stair put into the loft to have more utility . 3rd place has guest house , ready to rent , the front place could also be renovated as a second guest house
It looks like in 2019 one of their friends , a New Zealand man got killed when pirates entered the family boat. The wife got. attacked with a machete and had severe scars on the head. There is on FB a „still mourning video“ and there are some news articles about that. The 2 ladies seemed to really like that family and named a new puppy after the man called Alan. 3 pirates were arrested as part of the murder and attack it said in the articles. Then there was a FB announcement that an expat couple from Arkansas USA were the new owners of the drunken monkey. So I assume they sold the place and moved on. Maybe to different place in Panama (aka gated community) or who knows. Given they were retired, running a bar and grill restaurant is also a lot of work. Maybe they wanted a more quite life. Hope they are doing well and enjoy the time there.
There's NOTHING going on at any of these places. And you are high if you think any friends or family is going to come from the US yo visit you in the middle of nowhere in the Panama archipelago to sit in the heat and humidity to get chewed on my mosquitos all day and night. You will be by yourself and totally bored in a week.

Bocas del toro is outside of the hurricane zone. They don’t get hurricanes. Nasty storms on occasion, sure. But no hurricanes. I have property there.

You are so wrong. Bocas is packed with wonderful people & nightlife. Backpackers from around the world👍 All a short boat ride away!
