Who I want to win - Nole
Who i think will win:
1. Alcaraz
2. Meddy or Tsitsipas
3. Nole or Rune
Novak has said in his interview today that he is feeling 100%. He usually does not say that he is 100% if he is injured. When he is injured, he always admits that he is not in an ideal situation. So if Novak is indeed at 100%, I have to agree that he is the favorite. Alcaraz is a very close second though, and Tsitsipas, Rune and Medvedev round up the top 5. Without the God of clay (aka, Nadal) this French Open is wide open.
He also said after his third round match that he has too many injuries to name🤷♀️
@@priyaravindran6150 That is to be expected. As Novak said, all athletes nurse injuries all the time. He is no exception. But as he also said, none of those injuries are preventing him from playing and that he is feeling perfectly fine.
@@alextabet9247 I don’t disagree, but he’s also had an MTO, which he wouldn’t have, if he was at a 100% and was perfectly fine. Djokovic has won with actual major injuries before though, so let’s see.
@@priyaravindran6150 he has indeed won with injuries in the past, but both times were at the Australian Open, where he can overcome injuries due to his mastery of that surface. But against Carlos, or even Rune, on clay is an entirely different story. The extent of his injuries remains unclear, but what I have seen so far, he seems to be able to play relatively unhindered, although he is clearly missing a gear which he will need to overcome Carlos. I hope that he has not used that gear because he has not needed to use it and is preserving his strength and energy for the Alcaraz match, rather than because he is unable to.
@@alextabet9247 Agreed. I’m also hoping it’s the latter. Against Rune, in best of 5, I still give him an advantage if he can take Rune to 5, because Holger’s fitness has been shaky even in BO3, and so far in the tournament, Djokovic has shown us that he’s willing to run for as long as it takes. Moreover, their last match was close. Same with Alcaraz in Madrid, and that was when Novak wasn’t even in best form, so I’m hoping for the best🤞
RG 2020:Nadal beat Djokovic
RG 2021: Djokovic beat nadal
RG 2022: Nadal beat Djokovic
It is very clear that only nadal could stop djokovic at RG. Now nadal is not there, so novak is definitely wins it..
Some are saying Novak played badly so far but novak always does the same before the RG in last 3-4 years to conserve energy..
Some are chantings Alcaraz everywhere.. Alcaraz won us open in nole absence and beat nole at madrid in 2022 in very close tight match ( djokovic was struggling mentally due to AO detention)..
people are overhyping Alcaraz. Alcaraz is not going to win ,he need another 2 years to become multiple slam winners..
Novak is master in grandslams in 5 set formats.
Novak has continously played RG quarterfinals from last 14 years and already played 6 RG finals ( 2012, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2020, 2021). Nole has best results at RG after Nadal. Novak has vast experience playing at RG and Alcaraz is just one time quarterfinalist at RG last year and lost 😢😢..
Haters will cry after Nole win RG 23😅😅😅.
You said it...Nadal would stop Novak...so with him NOT playing if Novak wins it doesn't count because he got to avoid a guy he has never beaten in the final at RG

@@bigbywolf5031 Well we better take away Wimbledon 2022 since all the Russians were not allowed to play...by the way Novax has won more slams against weaker opponents compared to Nadal...They better take away AO 2023 as well...Novax got a soft draw, was allowed back in the country, the 3 year ban should of stayed, just as it does for everyone else, covid rules got dropped for the tournament incase he tested positive for the 3rd time....got every match at night time to suit his game...Can I help it if Novax loses to Medvedev in slams & Nadal doesn't?..Can I help it if Nadal leads H2H against Alcaraz & Novax doesn't?

In the current field on the men's side, no one is more experienced, motivated and better prepared, in every way, than Novak. My money's on him and Iga.

Djokovich has had terrible preparation, and he hasn't looked in the least bit comfortable. I don't think he can win it. Swiatek is perhaps still carrying an injury. Beyond saying neither of them will win it, I have no idea!

Rybakina will win RG. For the men's, it's Alcaraz
I think it's going to be Carlos beating Stef and meeting Novak. Stef might be good at clay, but unless his personal problems are resolved - he will always be distracted. Carlos has beaten Novak before and can beat the current form Novak as well.
On the women's side, Iga is coming in with an injury, it'll be interesting to see how far she goes and if that injury affects her mentally. She might make the final, but I don't think she's going to win.

I don't think Cam is a fanboy. He's playing it safe, but in reality he's overhyping Novak. Djokovic is playing like absolute trash right now, so unless he goes absolute god mode, I don't think Novak's winning this one.

He had a weak season because of the elbow and also had minimal match time because of this. If the elbow is still an issue, he has little chance.

Let's be honest who's going to step up to the plate and take down Djokovic. With no Rafael Nadal to get in his way he will make Grand slam history with his 23rd.
