the way i understood it is, is kunigami was actually probably the best player in blue lock but didn't have any ego. he still tried to play as a team. when he lost, to koruna in a way that probably turned his team against him. he finally developed his ego and it might now have a bigger ego than the others with more skill. and the other new unknown guy, i feel like might end up becoming another "Rin" to isagi. i feel like I've seen a panel of them on the same team but could be wrong.
If you mean the guy with the blue rose. He is the next main antagonist.

Basically Kunigami underwent another experiement by Ego in which he try to recreate a famous player that is Noel Noa, from the physique down to his mindset. Out of those who take part in the program, Kunigami was the one who developed the closest to Noel Noa and now he will reappear as Isagi's next barrier alongside Kaiser in the Neo Egoist League. And the part where all the dude sitting behind the screen agreeing to something was that Neo Egoist League. All the matches in that League will be livestreamed and they will rake in the money from there, Ego has to do that so he can get the funds to continue the Blue Lock project.
