The song "blue" is a masterpiece. I feel like it's probably the best song they've made. Finneas and Billie. If you're a billie fan from way back, you know about the song "blue" and have heard it from it's humble beginnings of a plain ol pop song. It's an old song from the "don't smile at me" era that never made it on to an album. So for it to finally have it's birth on an album was a "holy shXt" moment for people. Almost emotional. To hear that little intro to "blue" at the end of bittersuite? it was epic. And to hear what it morphed into? Completely different song.
Not only is "True Blue" there, but another song called "Born Blue" is apart of BLUE and was originally written for HTE.

yeah around late 2020 during covid (she was 19) there was this one photo that went public where people started saying she got "fat" and it went on for a bit long, and then after that she had to start changing her lifestyle (going to the gym more, changing her diet, etc.) and people thought she looked better and happier now bc she started wearing less baggy clothes around 2022 and so on, so the song "skinny" is something new to us, we didn't know how she felt about her body now and that's I guess her answer. on her short film "not my responsibility" she was still on the process of loosing weight.

blue is her least favorite color and people used to love her blue hair, and she hated that (as she stated in an interview). For billie being “blue” represents the person she “used to be”, the depressed young girl. This album is basically her accepting her true self (her true blue). This album felt like a journey of self acceptance. In the song skinny she basically say that looking back now she never been that bad

For me, it's actually the first album that I have to listen to in its entirety over and over again, where there isn't a single song on it that I don't like. not even close and I'm 51 years old. I've always loved listening to them, but this is phenomenal

It has taken the spot of my favorite album Billie has made to this date. Also, fun fact about BIRDS OF A FEATHER, it made an appearance as the background music for a trailer of season 3 of the Netflix series Heartstopper! I’m really happy about that too because that is two of my favorite things combined! I really enjoyed the whole vibes of this album as a whole. I’ve been listening to it on repeat since it released! As a swifty who adores both Taylor and billie, this album absolutely slaps. Top to bottom bangers. S tier production and quality. After hearing this Taylors team should be embarrassed about what they just released. Quality over quantity goes a lonnnnnnnng way...

Did you notice, at the end of BLUE, the last lyric was "But when can i hear the next one" she's been hinting (or at least us fans think, we are a bit delusional) that there's a second album?? Soundcloud posted "billie should we tell them" Ari Greenbalt posted "I'm ready for the next one" and a lot more clues, hinting towards something else, could be a deluxe version, idk. Love this album, it's been on repeat since it came out. Can't believe it's already got 72M streams and two songs have already reached 10M streams.

I'm very much enjoying the album. Time will tell but possibly her best album. Not that anyone asked but my favorites in (rough) order, for now anyway: Chihiro, Blue, Bittersuite, The Greatest, L'Amour De Ma Vie, Lunch, The Diner, Wildflower, Skinny, Birds of a Feather. And it's not to say I dislike the songs at the tail end of that, it's just like a matter of S tier vs A tier lol.
P.S. your L'Amour De Ma Vie dance is perfect lol

Billie is so like a flower, opening from a promising bud to a magnificent sweet blossom. Also, the video for Lunch shows her recently and even though a lot of the clothes were baggy, you still caught glimpses and she’s visibly thinner than that shot of her leaving the gym that started all the fat talk. So ridiculous.

She did have a stalker, NDA from her previous album kinda refers to that situation and it was in the news at some point. It was at her old house that she grew up at. I'm fairly certain this song is written from the perspective of the stalker - she tends to do a lot of songs written from other people's perspectives / fictitious scenarios (ex: Bellyache)
People says that the diner could be about the pov of the stalker she had that wrote her letters and waited for her at her home. I’m pretty sure he got arrested but I forgot because it was awhile ago
Billie always have had problems with people about her body. She used to wear hoodies and stuff that could hide her body from the people. One time I remember they would bring up even her brother Finneas to the conversation. so majority of Billie dealt with insecurity, now she's grown and she doesn't care as much as she did when she was growing

yes idk if anyone explained it for you yet, but back in 2020 (?) she had a paparazzi picture go viral, everyone bullied her relentlessly, so many horrible memes of her were made from that photo. it was a horrible time to be a billie fan.

Honestly, it wasn't for me at first listen. I did think it sounded beautiful, I'm not sure what exactly I didn't like at first. But then before I realized it, I was suddenly listening to all the songs again and again on repeat. Now it's it's one of my favorite albums of hers. Also love how cinematic the ending of Skinny and Blue is, especially at the end of the album.

I noticed your catalog is mainly pop music, but if you want to see who inspired Billie to make such unique music, I'd highly recommend checking out Aurora. Aurora is not pop music, she's an experimental Norwegian artist, and probably the most underrated vocalist/composer/writer on the planet. Without Aurora, we probably wouldn't have Billie. She inspired Billie to start making music. The song Billie credits the start of her career to is called "Runaway" by Aurora.
