I have to agree with both of you on the subject of Black Barbie, my non collector friends state to me how vintage Barbies were all white, so i have to text them pix of all my vintage AA Barbie dolls to prove them wrong so yes I consider them as Barbie dolls, but also get where Tim is coming from with the first AA Barbie with the Barbie name was 1980, so you're both right, love you both and you're my favorite Barbie you tube content channel, I've watched since your channel started, always a treat when a new video comes out, thank you for the joy

Great to be able to look at your channel! Met you all in Burbank at the doll show. Don't forget to come back down to SoCal and visit us again. You must see the Susan Quinlan Doll & Teddy Bear Museum. I'll be heading out your way sometime soon. Looking forward to seeing a doll show out there.
They may have meant that they discontinued pregnant midge. I have several, there is also some sort of pregnant Barbie. They did discontinue, I think.

Loved this video! I am almost as old as Barbie and have to agree w/ George many AA dolls available when I was a kid not just Barbie family but Dawn dolls etc... we are talking the 60's and 70's decades. What is newer are all the beautifully inspired Hispanic and Asian dolls in the USA market. Imagination is what we use to make the dolls story come to life hence the perfect world of barbie, we imagine everyday is great unless we are demonic children lolololol, George you were 100 percent correct about those bratty kids lol

I've heard several people say they did not like how Ken was portrayed. They thought that they did not have to denigrate him to boost her.
You're not alone in your thoughts. One of our doll club members felt that she didn't like the way men were portrayed. She is a more traditional, older lady though. Maybe that had a little to do with how she thought.
I also agree with Tim about Ruth Handler. She was a scapegoat. If you look at the documentary they did on it and the story that was also on one of the channels it's clear she was scapegoat.

I agree about Ken I know it was a comedy but I kind of felt they did Ken dirty. I mean your right Ken was independent and doing everything that Barbie did. What about equality 😅

I have decided not to watch the Barbie movie although I really enjoyed your review and looking at pieces from your amazing collection. I agree with Tim and the commenter below in that it seems like they did Ken a dirty. I was so hoping that the Barbie movie would be a great “buddy” movie with Barbie and Ken on a road trip. I love Barbie but I also love Ken and the rest of Barbie’s friends and family.

I have a question for you guys or anyone with knowledge that could help me. Can a Ted doll, Tammy’s brother, can his legs safely be a donor for Buds legs that have some chew marks? And how would I go about switching if it is possible. Thanks so much
