  • Riding Big Thunder Mountain in Tokyo Disneyland is an exhilarating journey that transports you to the Wild West, filled with thrills and excitement. As you approach the attraction, the iconic red-rock formations and rustic wooden structures set the stage for this thrilling adventure.
The queue winds through a detailed and immersive landscape, reminiscent of an old mining town, complete with weathered signs, mine carts, and quirky details that add to the authenticity of the setting. The anticipation builds as you make your way closer to the loading area, hearing the distant sounds of the train rumbling along the tracks.
Finally, it's your turn to board the runaway mine train. The train cars, designed to resemble old locomotives, await eager riders. As you settle into your seat and pull down the safety restraints, the train slowly begins its ascent, clicking and clacking up the initial climb.
The excitement mounts as the train reaches the peak, offering a breathtaking view of the surrounding landscape before hurtling into a series of twists, turns, and thrilling drops. The wind rushes past, adding to the sensation of speed as the train navigates through dark tunnels, careens around sharp corners, and races over rugged terrain.
The immersive theming of Big Thunder Mountain adds to the experience, with animatronic animals, dynamite explosions, and themed elements that bring the Wild West mining adventure to life. The exhilarating ride culminates in a final plunge, sending the train thundering through a canyon before returning to the station.
As the ride comes to an end, exhilaration and laughter fill the air, and riders disembark with wide smiles and adrenaline-fueled excitement, ready to recount the thrilling twists and turns of their wild journey aboard Big Thunder Mountain in Tokyo Disneyland.
I wanted to see how well the GoPro Hero11 would work on a roller coaster. Conclusion: it works quite well in bright places but quite poorly in dark areas. Still, the stabilisation remains remarkable given how shaky the whole scene was.
