A CUPRA isn't a SEAT but only because they changed the name for the performance SEATs. So it's a bit like Lexus not being Toyotas. You can pretty much guarantee that the cop at the start knew who's car it was and was just being a pedant.

@@iainburns4493 I think it was about 2020 or maybe last year. It does seem a strange thing to do when SEAT are rebadged VWs and now they've rebadged the quicker ones as CUPRAs. It still confuses me a bit as they look like the same cars but have a new badge on the front. Before it was the SEAT Leon CUPRA R and now they're CUPRA Leon R's (I think) but they're still pretty much the same as the Golf R or Audi S3 under the bonnet so 300bhp 0-60 in 4.9s and limited to 155. They have a rapid SUV too, I was beaten at the lights by a CUPRA Formentor which was a bit of a surprise, I just thought it was some slow SEAT SUV but it hits 60 in 4.9s too.
Seat is the manufacturer and Cupra is the model. Cupra isn't a brand in itself. Lexus is owned by Toyota but was set up as a different brand altogether, hence why you have both Lexus and Toyota dealerships

Yes we all realise they have secure areas but even that belongs to the public. Whose name is on the deeds of the land, a persons or say the County Council. A name I imagine = private, council = ours. Could someone sort out my dilemma. If they police property os PRIVATE I demand ALL the police levy I have paid in Council Tax back plus interest. I wonder how I will get on with that

According to the dvla the vehicles registration are NOT private they must be on clear display as confirmed by the parking Eye v beavis the registration has to.be visible to enable such things as parking charges and other RTA offences. During the last 5 years I.assured police constables have been sacked for illegally accessesing PNC systems and selling details to.unauthorised persons in fact the DVLA are facing a private prosecution for selling owners details to " unauthorised " persons under data protection act
