I've been hearing about this since Novak's default back in September, so I decided to check out one of the matches from this tour. The first thing that ran through my mind was, "Is this for real?" I honestly thought the event was held in January 2020 because of the packed crowd with no masks. Like, what was he thinking?

the health bodies of Serbia all approved and gave the green light for this event because the situation in Serbia was far better than in other countries~ what he was thinking was to bring some entertainment and relaxation to the people who were super stressed during that time, and it worked, they all cheered up a bit, and he was also thinking of people in need so it was a charity event as well~ and guess what? there are far less infected people than in official tournaments where only vaxxed were allowed

They spent weeks together at that tournament and other related festivities, and then 5 minutes before the start of the final he announces that he is positive through his twitter account! The timing and manner of his announcement stinks to high heaven. And what do we make of his weird travel patterns before he suddenly became sick? Cult Tennis, I love your videos, but this is the worst one on your channel. This is definition of hypocrisy. Why you didn't make another video when we had public on AO? Yeah, because you hate Djokovic. And, at the end, did Dimitrov, Troicki, Djokovic or Zverev died because of COVID, with 0.1% death rate? NO. And did we had more cases in Serbia after the tournament? NO. So what's exactly the problem then? Is ti the problem that Novak tried to sold tickets and all the money give in charity? Probably yes, because you didn't say that in this video, but you concluded that Nole is the bad guy.

As a Djokovic supporter, I don’t condone the organisation of this tour. However I think its ridiculous to call him the human embodiment of this tour. Yes it was his idea, but that had to be approved by others especially the Serbian government ( keep in mind this was at the end of may and that’s when most European countries started to ease restrictions, especially in Serbia where the cases were quite low). There were participants (some of your favourite tennis players), an audience, collaborators and just lots of people involved. I find it wrong that people solely find Novak to blame because they’re on a chase to find reasons to vilify him. This was a great video btw, just my opinion on the situation.

@Vegalus Oh really,is that so. First of all vaccines are not what used to be, some people, especially children get another medical issues after taking it. Second, you said it,it takes 10 years to produce a vaccine, that means we will get it in 2030. Are we supposed to wear masks in next 10 years and live in new normality with social distancing and other things?Or maybe they will produce it in 2-3 years from now?But if they make vaccine very soon doesn't that mean they already knew about virus in 2020. And about doctors and those who make vaccines,oh yeah, and they aren't the same anymore. Today if you don't pay a doctor you may as well die in front of hospital. Everything is bussines today, litteraly, true capitalism we live in. There are a lot of non logical things about corona virus, people are confused,we just want answers and truth, of course Novak is going to question vaccine, he just wants to know what is going to be injected in his body.

In football, we are consistently reminded that great players on the pitch don't make great human beings or great coaches. The problem is that success on the court and or a football field can be a sportsman's biggest weakness off the court/pitch. This being as all the glorification, admiration, and demigod creation can have a person like Djokovic almost begin to think they are special. The same happens with power-grabbing politicians turned dictators. Just because you a good tennis player, it doesn't mean you're a good businessman or humanitarian. This act on the part of Djokovic highlighted his own sense of uncontrolled self-importance, even if the whole world and medical community disagreed. These people begin to live in a reality that is far detached from normal reality. Through the power of money, they almost accidentally end up with yes men dealing with all aspects of their lives. So naturally, when an idea comes out of their mouths, the people around them almost encourage them to go through with whatever crazy idea they have. The players who joined this tournament were also there through greed. Many of them becoming millionaires at a young age, with little to no understanding of life, toil, struggles, and suffering. That's why I'm always very careful when lauding sports stars. Unfortunately a day always comes when they think they're more clever, more gifted and more able that they actually ever are.

Everyone is blaming Novak but it's not fully his fault. The Serbian government really did allow so many stupid things in June. It was all done because the elections that happened at the end of the month. First they allowed around 20 thousand fans in the Belgrade derby. The stadiums were full with no distance. My friend and i were volunteering and we had to constantly wear masks( unless on a break) and we were sometimes in the groups that were ordered to give out masks to people who didn't have masks of their own. At the time Serbia was acting like it was covid free and everyone was acting like it. As i already said, it's mostly the governments fault (they are just a whole different story) but it's also Novak's fault. I don't know how it was after Belgrade, but here it was beautiful and very well organised.

This video is so biased against Novak. Yes, the tour was a terrible idea and he has questionable views on medicine/health but you can’t fault his sportsmanship. He’s respectful, passionate and a great ambassador for tennis; a few clips of him getting angry doesn’t change that.
Seems to me like you just don’t like Novak and are trying to create a negative image of him to non-tennis fans. Disappointing

I’m 100% with Kyrgios in this scenario. As controversial as he is, he’s totally correct here. Plus, what Novak did is idiotic, along with Zverev and all the other players who attended (Troicki etc.) It was Djokovic organising though, so he should really take most of the blame. There’s no excuse - what he did was plain stupid.

This video doesn't deserve to be called a 'history', it's more of a summary of the things we saw in the news. Three important things that the video didn't mention:
    1. There are decade-long tensions in the Balkan countries that are even now often stressed by the local politicians. Novak wanted to promote peace and collaboration in the region through a sports event. This good intention is invisible to the outsiders, but for the locals, it is huge.
    2. There were elections scheduled in both Serbia and Croatia at the time, which is why the governments tried to create an illusion that everything is fine and that the pandemic is under control. Serbian government even reported fake data on COVID cases. It is really their responsibility for signing off on Adria tour, while sadly Novak got all the backlash.
    3. Lower ranked tennis players earn much less than the top ones, and many of them needed to quit tennis at this time because all tournaments were canceled. This event was also meant to help them and help charities.
Finally, it is in the tradition of the Balkans' people to go above and beyond when it comes to hosting guests and making sure they are having a good time, hence the warm welcomes, other matches and parties. This is never mentioned when speaking of Adria tour.

      1. a noble goal does not erase the fact that this event should not have taken place at all in the first place. He could've made that event happen in any other time...
      2. Im not well enough informed on that matter but you can't put blame on a country for a private event. Also, it does not apply to all players that came from different countries with their own regulation. In my opinion, all players that actively promoted and went there are responsible.
3.That's not a valid excuse at all sorry.

First of all, Novak isn't condescending, that's more of a Serena thing. Even Federer can be like that at times but that's normal on that level. I'm not saying its alright.
Second, Novak is super-passionate and emotional, not robotic.
Third, Novak never faked an injury in his life. That claim is outrageous and untrue.
Fourth, he isn't an anti-vaxxer, just wants to choose which ones he takes based on how safe the newest vaccines are which is perfectly rational. He even stated in that google talk with other Serbian athletes that vaccines in general are an important discovery. You didn't even have the right translation of that conversation.
Fifth and final, Dimitrov throwing everyone under the bus as soon as he lost in the Adria Tour was the most rotten, selfish thing we've seen in a long time in any sport.
He was the first to arrive in Belgrade, had the most fun, got everything for free like all the other players/guests, then went back home and took selfie with a "oops, got corona, peace," pose knowing full well what was going to happen afterwards. Its hilarious but a real trashy way to ruin a humanitarian event where all the money was donated.
The world would be a much better place without all the fake news and journalist vultures like Ben Rothenberg and the gang.
What's even more pathetic is the virtue signaling of the masses, who are nailed to their tvs and the lamestream media like couch potatoes, playing the blame game pretending they care about every single person they saw on that event and thinking that Nick the "on-court hot dog masturbator" Kyrgios is the voice of reason.
