Just got this model for free off of Facebook marketplace, bought a 17 dollar kit on Amazon, basically same as yours. Took me a few hours to clean all the junk off it but got everything replaced and it’s running like a champ thanks to you. Only thing I can see wrong is you should tune your high before your low it gives you a much smoother transition between the two
The only backpacks with the L is pb260l, and pb265l. The 413 only has a 413h and 413t version 413H means hip throttle, 413t means tube mounted throttle
Good deal. Great editing. The blower seemed more adjustable with the air filter on. Thanks for the fun video Ken. The 2 tachs were similar with the lead. I have 2 tachs and compare every time.
I'd say for the age of the machine and for a 25 dollar carb you knocked it out of the park ! The new mic is such an improvement now I can save my speakers when I listen to you 🙂
Great video, I learned a lot from this, thanks. We put NGK plugs in all our equipment. The good chinese suppliers are not selling over here yet but I am sure they will at some point. I am looking forward to your video on tachometers
Good video. I've got to get a good tach. One thing I was taught in school on small and 4 cycle engines was to let the engine run a minute or two after adjusting before taking readings. Mind you, that was a long time ago. I don't think it matters myself.
You did a very good job on the echo ran good with the new carb but learned something new with the oem spark plug in there made a huge difference in running and idle and the tach also , a tool I need to add for my self also is a tachometer. Hope all is well with you sir
I pump it until I know the purge bulb is returning fuel back to the tank. If you have a Tygon fuel return line you can see the fuel retiring to the tank, if you have black rubber for a return line then unscrew the gas cap and look to see that fuel is returning to the tank. Generally once the purge bulb fills up with fuel it takes only 2 or 3 more pumps of the bulb to get fuel returning to the tank. You can never pump it too much as it is a purge system, not a primer so there is no danger in flooding the engine with fuel. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching!
Great video. I’ve had hard trouble finding RPMs, so I’ve learned to do it by ear. Also worried about older machines. I any reliable source for RPMs and your thoughts on using it with all machines. Thanks for the good information and take care
Great video, my blower runs with the new carb but when I go to wide open throttle, it runs for about 10 seconds and then cuts back. Any suggestions? Thanks again!!
@gregbishop77 I would run the engine, and as it starts to die, crack the gas cap and see if it covers that will eliminate the tank vent. As far as the fuel filter, easy enough, just to change it. The fuel line, however, may be collapsing, check to make sure the fuel line isn’t very soft. If it collapses it will cut off fuel flow. Hope this helps.
@gregbishop77 another thing you may want to try is hooking up a spark tester in line, and when it’s dark out, started it up and when it starts to die, see if the spark is giving out to make sure it’s not a spark issue instead of a fuel issue. Putting in a new spark plug wouldn’t hurt either.

Sometimes you have to tweak both to get a smooth transition. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the great advice!! Also, nice touch with the flowers and neighborhood for a backdrop......

Good job Ken, that plug did make a world of difference.

Really enjoyed your lesson throughout. Great advice. Thanks!

Thanks Joseph! Join us tomorrow at 7 pm your time for the Top Conker Live stream. I will be guest hosting
Excellent point on the tach wire being used to get consistent readings, we have the unit from Stens with the spring analog scale.
Just goes to show a quality plug can and does make a difference. The tach video is one I won’t miss, looking forward to it
Always a pleasure watching your content kenny.
You can't complain? Come visit Britain, we'll teach you how! ;) Good work Ken, the RPM readings look good to me.
I changed mine. Now I'll have to get a tachometer. Thank you.

Great video 📹 Ken. I always really enjoyed your videos. You explain everything very well... thanks Ken!!!!!

Good video ken 👍 Good to see how to use a tachometer right way 👍
Great video. You mentioned that you’d use a different fuel mix for older machines. What mix would you go with for these?
In older equipment I like to use 40-1 mix instead of 50-1. Just my preference. I always check the exhaust screen regularly too. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for all information great video keep up the great work
Thanks for watching!
Can you show how the inside of the controll handle looks and how to fix it
Great video ken (nothing new there)
The sound was 10x
Great video! Question, how many pumps should you make prior to cold starting the blower?
I pump it until I know the purge bulb is returning fuel back to the tank. I changed mine and have the correct spark plug. Fuel goes in bulb. I can't get an ignition. Next step?
Disconnect the kill wire and try it
Great video Ken, a lot of good information, I have to get a tach of some kind, I don't have one.

Great video Ken, thank you
Do you have. Link for that tachometer?

Have you replaced the fuel filter? If the fuel filter is good crack the gas cap when it starts to slow down the tank vent may be compromised.
@KensSmallEngineRepair ok. I appreciate it. I'm gonna check the fuel filter and I'll let you know. Again thanks for your time and knowledge

@KensSmallEngineRepair replaced fuel filter and it runs great. I greatly appreciate your time and knowledge!

2976 auto lite not 2974 hope u put heat sheild in back of muffler
I put back what was there.
this is a teaching video. You adjusted everything without telling what you were doing???
Thanks bro this was super helpful Jah Bless 🫡👏🏾✊🏽❤️🖤💚
