97 was a bad season for McGrath, a lot of bad luck ect and Emig was pretty solid (hence his championship) but he couldn't back it up in 98. With McGrath back on a solid team with a good bike, he's unbeatable. It's a shame that RC came up when JM was on his way out, it would've made for a few years of solid SX.

geoff beyer yea 97 wasn’t great and the zook’s back then weren’t the quickest and I think Jeremy had a hard time getting the back up to Honda pace.
Emig had championships far before 97.

No I remember watching this "live". It was basically 480p over NTSC and PAL though, but on a big CRT TV it wasn't bad
