Rule No. 1: You never wear a scent because you think than women will like it. You wear it because you like it and it makes you feel good. That projects better who you are and makes your actions more congruent.
Rule No. 2: What a women says she wants and what she really wants are two different things. Women communicate covertly and that applies here too. I have had a girl telling me that she likes sweet scents and hates fresh scents. So, I purposely wore fresh scents when I was around her and she complemented me on „how good I smell“.
Create tension and break rules. Do what YOU want Not what you think girls want you to do.

You’re absolutely right about both! My favorite scent is definitely the one I feel fits me best, and the compliments come naturally.
I think it’s great that you include fresh fragrances in a date video - most reviewers just do sweet/bold & loud in these types of videos… same for winter videos, but there are still times in winter when you want/need to wear fresh

Yes finally, someone else noticed the negative dry down of Sauvage, I thought I was crazy that it got weird after about 3 hours, like it was too musky. I've come to trust your nose, I blind bought two fragrances you recommended to me a while back in comments and they were both amazing (Layton and Boss Bottled Intense), thanks!

@Dens i have smelled oud satin mood extrait de parfum it was good and it’s high quality than oud wood and I think it has real oud, but it leans feminine, between oud wood and oud satin mood eau de parfum or extrait which one would you choose ?
I totally agree on Roja Elysium, I’m super picky when it comes to my husbands fresh frag,they all smell so basic and I don’t like most of them, but Elysium is absolutely perfect. It’s like an upgrade from Bleu de Chanel and more unique. I do love Bleu de Chanel too though.

I agree Tanya most fresh frags are boring,citrusy and synthetic,I don't try Roja Elysium but Hacivat by Nishane and Bleu de Chanel are very good

I wore Grand Soir and my brother complimented me (which he NEVER EVER does), so it really is a great uniseks perfume!
A person shouldn't be worried about sillage for a date fragrance. Just sit closer to your love interest ;)

I have every single one of these frags and most I've had for a few years or more. I have to say Dior homme intense is by far the most seductive and inviting of the lineup and is a top 3 favorite for me, and my collection is fairly large and diverse. Ultra Male is also one that gets a TON of compliments, guys want to know so they can go buy it for themselves and girls seem to notice this one a lot more than just about any other in my collection. I think 540 Extrait gets the most attention though and is my personal favorite. One that's not on the list that is incredible and women freaking love it because its a vanilla bomb is Club Black from Mercedes Benz. Yes a car brand fragrance...shit you not. I used to think its a was an online troll or fragrance community joke too until i bought a bottle for the hell of it just to see what all the fuss was about...instantly became one of my all time favorites and my everyday fall fragrance. This bad boy shines bright in cool but not cold weather. Its vanilla is unbelievably high quality and its so comforting and cozy smelling that people cant get enough of. I had a girl in hy-vee follow me through the isles once sniffing around trying to find out who was wearing it. the minuet she zeroed in on me she came over and asked what I was wearing so she could go get it for her boyfriend right away lol.

Hello Demi great video today I have everyone of those fragrances except for Killian and jazz club and I feel the exact same way about all of them as you described even the door Sauvage and I love the others as my top favorites amongst about 15 other ones as well that I count as my top 25 favorite all time like creed Silver Mountain water Mojave ghost etc. but great lists I love the way you explain it have a great day see you in the next video

I love to go back and watch some of your old stuff and I would like to put out there I’ve had my Herod (your recommendation), since about 2020 and mine smells fantastic. I don’t know what it smelt like before but it’s wonderful and I feel like it’s even better than when I first bought it.
As far as a date goes what are yours or anyone else's opinion on PDM Pegasus and Initios Absolute Aphrodisiac for a date? I love both of these fragrances, but my thought is that they can be pretty strong fragrances and maybe to much for a date. A ladies opinion on this is golden.

I personally use Blue de Chanel for summer and spring on day and night ocassions, Gucci Guilty basically in any season, Tom Ford Noir Extreme in the winter and late fall, especially in night ocassions, and D&G Light Blue Intense in the summer during day 😊 I believe it is a nice combo 😅
Nice video. Herods from PDM is my favourite too. One of my vintage bottle fell down and broken. I just ordered one from Harrods last week. Hope it is not reformulated for bad.

I know they may be hated on or considered basic by the fragrance community but they work on just about every lady I've come across and these fragrances have gotten me attention.

@@onetwo4932 Yes, YSL L'homme is a good versatile fragrance and any age group can rock it. Now YSL La Nuit de L'homme is a different story. That's more suitable for date nights or close encounters.

Didnt know about this chick until just now. Tried Herod couple weeks ago alobg with a few others. Didnt like layton which everyone seems to like but Herod... my fucking goodness that scent is lovely. If it wasnt for the price id pick one up then and there. Will have to wait. But at some point Im getting one. Has a gourmand quality to it sweet chocolatey sexyness in a bottle. If u havrnt already get ya nose on it!
Herod smells nice, but my favorite PDM fragrance is Pegasus. I'm not a fan of Layton, it smells like Vick's to me.

Interesting Channel and great place to start to find out more about men's fragrances. The problem I'm having is that shampoo, deodorant and early every other personal product is scented which creates for nauseating mix of smells even without cologne. Anyone have any recommendations for unscented shampoo and deodorant?

How come you never talk about the Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male Le Parfum. It's by far my favorite of the le male line. Still love the original, but Le Parfum is something else. Gets me compliments in University and on dates.
By the way the nose of all 3 d'elmars is Mark Buxton. So there you go... wish you could talk about them in a clip they are unisex but for me sweet temptation is the most wearable for a woman. And no wonder Le Male is a masterpiece, the nose is Francis Kurdijan. :)

I really enjoyed the video! Which one of the parfums would you recommend for the summer (for dating ofc)?
Got a baby collection, but here's what I go for usually:
For going out for something active, concert, bar, dancing, etc. I like JPG Ultramale.
For more relax dates where I still go outside, say à cute speakeasy bar, jazz club or even riding around town, I'll usually go with Pure Havane.
For cozy dates inside, I use By the Fireplace.
I haven't noticed a clear trend with day dates yet, I usually go with the vibe. Boss bottled is just my dumb reach, but I'll go for L'Homme libre YSL or Trussardi Riflesso, depending on the woman, the activity and how I feel. I usually like some type of sweetness, unless maybe it's a hot day and I'm on a picnic. I'd like to get my nose on Artisan Pure, it seems fresh, but with a gourmand creaminess, and Toy Boy for the rose (flowery notes for men intrigue me).
I really like jazz club. But from MM my favs are Autumn Vibes and By the Fireplace. For boozy scent my favorite scent is Killian’s Angel’s Share.

Mercedes Benz Club BLACK smells almost identical to Herod to my nose. I also own Spicebomb and Spicebomb extreme and Rich Warch Addictive by Zara, but MBC BLACK strikes the closest resemblence to Herod in my opinion
I prefer D&G The One edp over Spicebomb extreme and Versace por Homme over Sauvage also Gucci Intense Oud over TF Oud Wood

I'll have to try jazz club. My favorite is Dior homme intense. I just bought some more. Bleu was my #1. It's probably 3rd now behind dior homme intense & one million lucky. Versace Eros is my 4th favorite.
I'm in the states and haven't heard of most of these, these most be really high end, the one I here the most compliments from and is affordable is Drakkar Noir.

BDC EDP everyday for me. Wife loves it and I've gotten more complements on it from women and men then anything else I've worn. 7-8 hours on my skin. Pushes off of me for several hours then within arms length from there.
How many sprays u doing to start the day?
@@user1fja98dnaiid I'll put two around my neck after my morning shower with a tank undershirt on. Then three after I put my dress shirt on. One on each side again then one on the back of my neck. Some gets on the shirt and skin. That's at 6:30am. When I get home at 4pm my wife and I can still smell it on my skin. Only a skin scent with mild silage by that time.

Always liked the tobacco scents. Had sampled a bunch of them years ago and settled on Lalique Hommage A L' Homme. From my notes Jazz Club smelled better from the bottle than on me. After a couple hours my chemistry turned it into a medicinal mess...... so does Spice Bomb. Herod at first reminded me of a much milder Mugler Havane with a twist of sandlewood bordering the Lalique I wear. Very nice and consistent. Didn't devolve into anything unpleasant.

Best colognes are at Bath and Body Works where they can smell just as good for a fraction of the price compared to some of these "higher end" ones.

I knew Herod waa going to make it on the list. Also if anyone is looking for an alternative to Herod. Devine Vanilla by Essential Parfums, which is made by the same perfumer. A bargain Niche.
My to go date smell is D&G EDP .. just does the job . . But YES Sauvage EDT is my 2nd option to go for dates night wear ..

I picked up Herod a while ago because of Demi and I trusted the brand since I use Layton as my daily. While Herod smells really good, I cant help catching a whiff of myself from time to time, and I feel like I smell as if I just walked out of a hooka lounge. And then I wonder if anyone else who smells me has the same thought.

Demi! please do your recommendations for gourmandy citrusy floral fragrances 😭 I have a cologne when I was young (Minnie Mouse Colononia Corporal) and I’m still looking for a perfume that resembles it. Something like citrusy for top note, jasmine/ylang-ylang for middle and vanilla for base note.
I think a somewhat unknown gem that I'm not surprised wasn't included in this list is Coco Moon by Beach Geeza. It's a very boutique fragrance but is beyond unique and memorable. A little pricey but they do have discovery sets for you to... well... discover.

Yeah I too don't go on dates, in fact I've only been on one. These are very different to what I prefer. My preferences are COMME des GARCONS 2, Azzaro Hot Pepper, Montale Black AOUD, Jaguar OUD for men.
