Bishop Barron is unique He combines an openness and honesty and everyday humanity with authority and knowledge and clarity of thought and outstanding communication skills. I'm not even a Catholic and admire the great and charismatic though now deceased RC Sproule the Reformed theologian who said her could not partake in a Catholic Mass because of doctrinal differences. Well I will keep admiring and listening to both RC and Bishop Barron because what unites Christians should be the overwhelming truth of God and what divides them is often straw
I experienced an epiphany with my daughter Leah when she was 3 years old. We were horsing around in the living room. We were taking turns chasing each other, when I finally caught her. She was sitting on my lap and we were laughing and then we stopped laughing and looked at each other and no words were said but something passed between us, like we kind of inhabited a space together that different from ordinary experience and it felt like we were bound together forever.
I am an ardent fan of Bishop Barron and, for me, this is one of his most compelling homilies. As a Protestant, I find his presentations not only congruent with Protestantism at its core (belief in Jesus Christ - Son of the living God), but a refreshing depth of understanding predominantly unavailable to Protestant doctrine which has digressed into an embarrassment of superficial, "cotton candy" tripe where money, prosperity, and well being are the central focus. While I completely understand the doctrinal differences, the bishop's homilies constantly compliment the richness and deeper truths of the Gospel. Agreeing with the comment below, that there is a level of intellectual rigor to Catholicism that I find deeply compelling (well stated sir).
It is easy to degrade and belittle that which you do not know or understand. When one earnestly seeks a deeper relationship with God, one eventually finds Catholicism. At that point one is free to accept or reject the rigorously scrutinized precepts and beliefs of the Catholic church but no longer able to discredit them as a cult.
January 2023, I was a staunch atheist of 20 plus years and anti-Catholic. I guess Jesus told an angel to hold his beer because 4 months later, I was going to Mass.
So great to hear you say you describe your Epiphany! my mayor one really set me “on fire “ and brought me back to the Catholic faith in a very radical way starting with attending daily mass and it’s now been over 20 years. How amazing that Jesus touched a simple sinner like me!❤❤❤
And a very close relative of Roman Catholicism...enter Anglican Catholic theology: Scripture, tradition and (wait for it), reason. Via Media evolving into the Personal Ordinariates established by Pope Benedict XVI in 2009 and maintaning classical Anglican Prayer Book liturgy.
Completely off subject (sorry) but in your myriad journeys have you ever met Bob Dylan? If so, what was that like for you? And, thank you for all your evangelizing by way of current technologies👍🏼✝️. PS. I must be honest and tell you that my liking you is not a constant🤷🏻♂️💕
Frank I don’t know if Barron has met Dylan but look up on RUclips Barron’s birthday tribute to Dylan where he sings one of his favourite songs and accompanies himself on guitar, it’s a great homage.

This isn't the Bishop's channel, and I don't represent him or this channel. But I don't think you'll get an answer. Bless your sweet heart, anyway.
God is a God of POSSIBLE. I believe! Let us know his response!
