The one thing I wish they would have said is that this sport deserves attention outside of just the Olympics every 4 years. There is interesting and high level athleticism happing every year and they are not being compensated like many other professional sports. if you tune and love watching stick around and check it out other years too.

The questions regarding how or why Chase was able to take 12 years off of volleyball and comeback and play...people need to understand he was a special player #1 and he also continued to play some beach vb in his bball off-seasons. He was never "mid" at beach vb he was always a phenomenal talent not just physically but skill wise he was super coordinated and very clean in his skill set. Great guy too. GO CHASE GO USA!!

I was just in Hermosa Beach over the July 4th holiday and there were a ton of Budinger and Evans posters all around the area. Very cool to see the local support!

Chase was one of those high potential guys who never worked out unfortunately. I guess volleyball was always the first passion as far as sports. Makes sense and I'm glad he's doing well

he has the motor and athleticism but have you seen his fine hand skills sometimes when shooting or passing leading to turnovers, those are even more important to have perfected in a skill sport like volleyball.

I’d put him as a hitter. With his athleticism, he’d be a great back line hitter

@@serfantasystatsguru7403Fair point. I played OH, but to the video’s point 2 starters on my team also played basketballball (MB and libero).
I remember our libero talking about receiving like rebounding, but the latter def takes less fine motor control.
(This was D3 so not exactly top-tier. 😂)

19:20 I disagree an elite athlete is an elite athlete and take a 30 year old pro from bb or football and he trains in a new sport full time 4-6 years I think an athlete can rise to competitive elite ranks for sure

Basketball players most athletic, football players have a gladiator mentality. Majority of today’s basketball players aren’t built that way because of how the game is played.

If you consider athetisism being tall and jumping high, having good hand eye. Other sports also require crazy athletisism, but just a different type of athleticism. The fitness required in modern soccer for example is absolutely insane.
