just do super noodle, you can put a bit of water in a bowl, the noodle at flavour packet, microwave for 2 mins, take out and stir, 2 more mins then its ready to eat
Love the content but a quick bit of advice maybe you should use the kettle to make your pot noodles. Really amazing achievement loading your own load that you aren’t familiar with driving you should be happy with yourself. Ever since I started watching you it has inspired me to try and get a truck and make it into what you have your truck as a show and work truck.
Really enjoyed that 👏 I’ve been in the job since 1985 and do around 1800 excavator & plant move a year and I still get the buzz you got from your first one, here’s to many more for you 🤙
Tim I’m just wondering have you been to Scotland the day of this comment? I caught a glimpse of a white lorry with blue frames like yours. Then a bit after i heard the popping of an exhaust. So im not sure if it was you or just a random person?
Always scary when you do something for the first time, i remember doing excavators at gap and the foreman said just drive it on and off dont stop. still crapped my pants on the first one. you did well tim great vid
Yesssss Tim! Proper trucking! You thought of doing longer videos when you've got a long slog on? Get some royalty free music in a playlist and could do an extra video maybe
Pleasure to meet you Tim at convoy my son got a signed picture and you v8 is a beaut cheers Tim keep up the good videos and carry on inspiring others to get into trucking
Tim, you need some supporting legs to the back of the trailer. It seems to flex down even a quite a bit with that 15 ton excavator going up and down the ramps. I work with machinery transports daily and I use the support legs every time I have to load or unload over a 10 ton machine.
With a bit more practice you will get the hand of driving the diggers. My advice would be to learn to control the tracks with your feet so you can use the arm to help you get off and on by placing the bucket on the floor then lift it up as you go over the beaver tail so helps with that dreaded drop that happens and good practice for the bigger machines.
use thick rubber mats, especially over the crest of the bed onto the ramps to protect the bed, also in wet weather metal on metal slides like fk and will catch you out. I had one slew on the crest and slip off the side when I was new to it and you get no warning. Also, use the arm to steady yourself and lift the digger, ie. if you're taking one off, extend the arm beyond ramps and place it on the ground, then pull the arm in while moving your tracks forwards - if you use both levers in sync then the arm will stay sat on the ground where you placed it and it basically pulls/drives the digger out whilst keeping it level so you don't have to worry about the crest onto the ramps. You do this until the centre of gravity of the digger passes the crest/pivot point between the bed and the ramps, then slowly lift the arm (but keep it on the ground) which will lower the front half of the digger onto the ramp slope without you needing to worry about it. Then once you're sat squarely on the ramps you can just drive it off. You can also do it facing the other way round by placing the arm (with bucket) on the bed and use that to pivot you and lift you over the crest, but make sure your bucket is wide enough to sit across the chassis members - don't do this on the wooden bit as it won't end well for you lol. Don't just check that the arm is secure, also check the roof of the digger as this is often when the vandal covers are stored and they're often not secured properly, so you're blatting down the A1 and they blow off into the traffic behind. They're big and metal and cause a lot of damage if they hit something. Also never never never walk under/behind unsecured ramps on a beavertail trailer like you're doing in this video. If a hydraulic hose splits or the ram fails just as you're walking past, that's half a ton falling on you and you're dead.
Loved doing machinery transporting, it's great when you're carting big gear. Full time in an excavator now, she's 50ton so takes a decent unit to shift it
Tim. Get some Overalls and keep them in yer box. Used to have some when Stripping Tilt Trailers in the 80s. It keeps your Civi's clean. Keep that Content Coming Mate.👋
Video idea for you Tim: Go and be Shaun's pit crew/tea boy at one of his Superkart rounds. I was watching him race on RUclips a few weeks ago, looks like a fun day out.
