Here ICA markets an ordinary grain flake mix as "ecological musli" for a premium. It's just mixed grain flakes for a porridge and disturbing sunflower seeds with bits of black shells that look like bugs. I cooked it down into a porridge. That is how it was eaten for decades. Raw seeds are for young hipsters who have teeth. Fruit juice is more expensive than milk. I also find it a bit out of place to place cold berries on porridge. It seems to be done mainly for photos on the web. It should be berry jam. That also processes any bugs that might be there (especially on raspberries). Apples can be simply ground up to preserve them out of season. I think traditional American sauce calls for some water, which I don't add because the concentration is already low. Sour milk, lol. Germaphones eating sour milk in America. It's really fun to get milk accidentally soured in your coffee.
We love this! Slivered almonds cannot be optional, they are such a key stabilizer! I came here to save money and learn how to say "meusli." If purchased premade, 7 cups=$6.00 in Nebraska. Thank you for this recipe and all of the hard work!
Yep! The video is still going strong. Nice and simple for a novice! I do wonder why does he allow it to sit in hot water and for how long?? Video is one of the best I’ve seen on the topic. Thanks!
Wunderbar! When I was in Germany I knew and loved Müsli, it’s a shame that back in México I couldn’t find it. Thank you so much, God bless you and your Vater too!
Excellent vid!! Tested out of German in undergrad, took a trip there with the German club in high school and just bought 24 boxes of muesli at Aldi tonight!.... I only was able to find this once this past Christmas and it was so amazing that when I saw it on the shelf tonight I bought all of it!!
I was adding dried cranberries, oats, and walnuts to my yogurt without knowing I was essentially making a tasty muesli. So yummy!
