Ok I haven't watched the full version of the tribute concert yet. But in the original version its an Indian Sitar. In the original I also thought it was a violin but then saw people saying its a Sitar. This actually makes sense because I'm pretty sure Avicii sampled the melody from a Bollywood song and Bollywood is basically the Indian version of Hollywood. But yeah that instrument is called a Sitar. Sorry for the late reply.
not so sure about that. before dropping this song Tim had had once posted it how they came about the tough love song and there you could see Al fakir playing the violin so its pretty safe that instrument is a violn@@-1ce-upb857

I'm from Russia and I knew Salem Al Fakir, Roger Pontare, and Vincent Pontare, although I've never heard of V&L duo. Although I'm not sure many people here in Russia know them ✌
Nobody knows them but everybody who’s listened to edm knows Vincents voice, without knowing they know it. The amount of massive hits he’s sung on is pretty insane.

What an outstanding performance here! The song itself is already perfect. I don't really see it as a normal song, it is more a story told by two lovers. So Avicii really did a masterpiece with Tough Love. But also this performance was just great! You can really feel, see and hear the passion. Respect to Vargas, Lagola and Agnes as well as the whole team and orchestra that made this performance possible and so magical!
It indeed is like a story told by two lovers, because Agnes is Vincent's (Vargas) wife :) Tim wanted a real life couple for this song

I read that when Tim/Avicii created this song, he wanted the song to be sung by two people who were a couple in real life. Thats why it's done by Agnes and Vincent.

Right. But, aren't they a little bit cold? I've read Agnes hasn't sung for a period of time so, considering your partner is again on stage maybe a touch of hands while dancing or ending closer in the end with the lyrics 'than in your arms...' I also think that Vincent was nervous about making it perfect (he looks relief walking down stairs backstage in the making of video). Every couple is different..
