I know everyone is doing Zamorak right now, but this method is just crazy good. Edit: Having a spirit cape in your bank provides you with a reduced scroll familiar point cost of 20%. If you don't have the zuk cape feel free to try it without, but you might struggle keeping your health high
It's a good side boss to avoid getting burned out from too much Zammy. I am worried about the scourge however, i wanted to rebuy mine but guess it's time to put my iron man helmet and farm it myself :s
Once you get better at the boss and start implementing prayer flicks (which makes the kills "not semi-AFK"), you can start experimenting with gear - the revo++ bar will work nonetheless, and you can get roughly 4:00-4:10 kill times. Obviously, this requires paying attention to the boss, which defeats the point of this guide, but as I said the revo++ bar is just that good to be consistent 4 min kills. As an additional tip, it's helpful to debilitate Raksha during phase transitions to make the rockfalls deal 50% less damage. Greatly cuts down on food usage, considering you can get some really nasty stacked up damage - making the fight safer at the cost of slightly slowed down kills. Also ignore me in the clan chat being a goof with Pac.
10/10, would recommend to all my fellow revo noobs out there. I used that method yesterday, and after 12-15 attempts, got my my first (and likely only) Raksha kill. Never could've done it if I had to micromanage prayers on top of having to pay attention to such rapidly changing mechanics. Got P1 and P2 down mostly flawlessly, messed up a bit on P3, and ended up running out of food on P4 when Raksha had 60k LP left. But, because this method relies on healing by doing damage, it all worked out.
after about 2 hours during free death week I was able to finally get a raksha kill now I am farming her with this method. getting about 10 kills an hour. Grico here I come. Thank you for sharing.
Well thanks to this guide I got my first kills!! Thank you protoxx + Itscrayonz! I'm getting 6:00-6:30 with same setup minus greater melee abilities. I don't have enchanted gloves or aftershock perks, but: relentless 5, crackling 4, biting 2, mobile; shield bashing 3 invigorating 2; Precise 5 mh, eq4 oh. Occasional spirit shield swap for dmg reduction or reso.
@@ProtoxxGaming it's cool. One thing Reddit does not have is charisma. You bring that to the table. Easily digestible. Thanks again. Oh yea.... I know you can crush Raksha nowadays. It just bought back memories as many of us were learning during that same period.

I saw this on Reddit yesterday! Nice to see a full guide on it and each phase being broken down thinking of finally learning Raksha hoping for that back to back to back Grico drop. Please and thank you Jagex
Despite numerous attempts, this is the one boss that got away... I've never had issues with prayer flicking, infact I could do no-food until end of P3, but everytime I got close to P4 he healed and got enrage from the 2nd pool respawn, which made me teleport out. I'm gonna give this method a shot, since you didn't mention anything about killing pools for the second time, which means it must be better DPS than when I tried killing him with ranged.
I have no issues with any boss in the game, and I cant kill this one. if that makes you feel better, and no i dont mean i toy around with 100% telos,. I fucking reck hm kera, hm zuk, 1000% telos, and 1000% glacor. I solo everything, and almost have solo rago figured out.
Maybe worth mentioning: buying the spirit cape for 45k dung tokens to permanently reduce the special move cost of familiars by 20%. And since it's a passive the cape can just be in either your bank or cape rack
Fairly sure that the passive is not even part of the cape, it's just a passive that unlocks when you get the cape, so you can drop it and still get the benefit.
*I FINALLY GOT MY FIRST RAKSHA KILLS WITH THIS!!* Took me long enough. The mechanics are still hard, but heavily reducing the need to focus on prayer flicking (which I had never even attempted prior to archglacor coming out) and the rotation of my abilities actually makes it POSSIBLE to see the boss mechanics underneath instead of being in a state of constant panic. some differences in my setup: -TMW spear, it's what I had and still benefitted from an almost identical action bar -ess of finality w d long combined with chaos roar was good for on-demand dps like consistently popping the raksha bubble or pushing into the next phase. -the upgraded bleed ring, death costs weren't too bad at 1m with prot item on and I needed the dps, though I still had to die in practice mode for several hours -powerburst wasnt that critical. Any big hits that can be anticipated can be negated in better ways. -infinite flask and prism of restoration in a pouch instead of spirit prayers. Heals the familiar more, requires less inputs, liked that better -super saradomin brews and sailfish soup for learning. It's overkill for sure but the more hp healed the better until I started getting consistent kills and can work my way down to this kind of setup. -once I got my first kill and had familiarity with the mechanics and timings it was possible to prayer flick at least most of the magic and ranged attacks, which reduces damage taken during the fight by like 60%. -a note with the "escape+barge" setup, very valuable, but it REALLY helps to have Double Escape even with mobile for that. With that on the last phase I could alternate escape+barge and bladed dive + walk back very easily. the tail swipe is about every *9* seconds so it will just barely be on cooldown otherwise. "alternatively just walk backwards" never worked once, don't even try it.
got my first kill on my iron! Literally grinded for weeks to get all the required gear minus the gloves. Only had 120 keys haha thanks for making this method into an easy to follow video :)
Champion's Ring + Enhanced Gloves of Passage both w/ their respective unlockable upgrades adds alot of damage to this rotation btw! (Expensive obviously but adds some for higher level players!)

Dear Protoxx, I followed your Revo Raksha guide and managed to get a kill after 2 hours of trying! I'm so proud. It took me 7 minutes and 34 seconds to get the kill. Is that a good time? I feel like it was going really fast, i could barely keep up with eating food. I also had to optimize my inventory a bit. I had the idea to use this "dragon rider amulet" since he's a dinosaur which is kinda like a dragon. The good thing is i don't need to pay for it, i just take 28 sharks with me. amulet of souls is too expensive so it seemed like a good idea. I also bought myself this malevolent armour instead of buying masterwork, as this one RUclipsr said it's bad. I have abssal scourge and Malevolent now. I even used this weird color dye on it that i got from my first elite clue! Looks funny. Anyway, thanks for all your great guides, i feel like a really good pvmer now, i want to try this Solak boss next, i think it won't take me long to learn as i can do Raksha so good already.
Hurricane no longer works with dark sliver of leng (updated passive effect in March 2024) so one of the best abilties on the bar is no longer usable. I still think you can get the kill easy enough if you just replace hurricane with destroy though FYI
Nothing wrong with being full manual. It's all about personal choice and what you want to do. Artificially limiting it to only revolution is not really that helpful for anyone. This is just a very specific situation.

First: thanks for this! Raksha probably isn’t impossible for me to learn a rev++ method considering I can solo hm kerapac and zammy 100%+ enrage. This method is making learning the boss a lot easier! Took an hour of trying and failing. But finally figured out that dang bladed dive. Have to click on the pool furthest away. 2nd: do you think I could do this guide with vestments and be just as nice?
u should be fine doing this with vestments, but expect to use more food. You don't need vestments btw (in case u plan to buy it) because u aren't using berserk with the revo++ bar
super new to hellhound and scrolls, how many scrolls should you put into it? i see it holds it for you. Also first time buying this whip and ice sliver. What augments am i looking for on these?
Hey protxx any advice on how to clear phase 3 in one cycle before he spawn the second minion ? I am able to do everything right but in phase 3 shit hits the fan for me I am never able to finish him off after the tail spin in phase 3 and he summons more orbs and minions and its over for me.
I don’t know if it’s been asked yet, but will the Vestments of Havoc armour work for this strategy? Cause it has less armour rating, but more strength bonus. However, the 2 piece set effect will probably not be useful since the action bar doesn’t have ultimates in it. Just a thought that crossed my mind after watching EvilLucario’s Vestments review.
I tried the exact same setup (well, except that I use Prism of Restoration) but with 3-piece Vestments (only switching to Laceration for pools). You *HAVE* to prayer flick, which pretty much defeats the whole point of this strategy.
OK so I followed everything. I'm still struggling with the bomb. I freedom and move away and then it runs me back in to the damage on ground. Anyone have any tips?
so before i go in for this, how needed are the melee ability codexes? melee isnt my style of choice in almost any content that it isnt strictly required like on some slayer creatures
I actualy did same thing revo++ with magic and range, for range I needed to use defender and reflect on first ability, magic had cryptbloom, I do not think magic and range can reach surgeon +vamp scrimsaw sustain ; on other topic I feel people underestimate the fact if revo++ deal a decent and constant rotation(damage), there is other things like pray flick and dealing with mechanics way more accesible from our brains (also as a fact I rather 20hours raksha with minimal brain usage than try do a world record damage and teleport each fail // evil lucario kerapac testing vestement streams)
I don't think I am gonna try it fully because I guess I can handle my regular bar for the DPS, but I am very interested into the scrimshaw + hellhound no prayer flicking method.
Hmm I've got exact same gear apart from the cape am using kiln, and super overs not elders but am chugging food like no tomorrow even when dodging all the mechanics :s any ideas ?
Odd. Question now is would a masterwork spear work just as well for the bladed dice for pools? I still need the zuk cape but otherwise I aave everything
thanks for this guide. and as always for shouting out the people who made the guide and that youre making it into video. wish it was magic haha I'm still lacking on melee gear. oh well. guess I cant just ride the cryptbloom train to AFKville at EVERY boss hahaha.
If you dont have the sliver u would have to place destroy where hurricane is. You can try, the same goes for without the zuk cape. It might kinda work but you will have slower kill times and likely will need to eat more food
@@ProtoxxGaming right. I figured the off hand wouldn’t be that big of a deal. But the Zuk cape and it’s effect on abilities would make a major difference I’d imagine. That’s just a guess though 🤷🏻♂️

I wish I could see the ranged setup he mentioned in the post, I looked on the pvme discord and couldn't find it.

what is a good place to chaos roar ability?
is enough replace death ward relic with absorvative perk on armour?
I'm pretty sure that theres no need to use scrolls when you can just use a prism of restoration for the hound?
Doing the same thing, exact set up..end up gettinf 6 min kill🤔
Is it possible with a khopesh and Scrounge?
The off-hand t85 dark ice sliver should only be like 20-30m or so. You want it to use hurricane with dual wield
@@ProtoxxGaming thank you! And the upgraded flurry, barge and fury are absolutely needed also?
Right after I struggled all Free Death Week to finally get a kill...
can i replace masterwork with vestments?
Is the revo bar is changed if using vestments of havoc?
what about perks on weapons. Would lunging be a good choice?
just got my first solo kill with everything other then the triple relics only using berserker relic and on vamp aura because zerk aura on cd
so before i go in for this, how needed are the melee ability codexes? melee isnt my style of choice in almost any content that it isnt strictly required like on some slayer creatures
Not at all really. Gfury and Gbarge just help
Do yourselves a favour and change the filter/skybox as fighting in the dark can make it hard to see the shadow orbs
what are any additional input that may speedup the kill?
I actualy did same thing revo++ with magic and range, for range I needed to use defender and reflect on first ability, magic had cryptbloom, I do not think magic and range can reach surgeon +vamp scrimsaw sustain ; on other topic I feel people underestimate the fact if revo++ deal a decent and constant rotation(damage), there is other things like pray flick and dealing with mechanics way more accesible from our brains (also as a fact I rather 20hours raksha with minimal brain usage than try do a world record damage and teleport each fail // evil lucario kerapac testing vestement streams)
Vamp scrimshaw is only for melee
this method is insane man what the hell
Are those the Greater Fury/Flurry abilities? Are those necessary, or just that you happened to have them?
I just happened to have them. Not needed.
I don't think I am gonna try it fully because I guess I can handle my regular bar for the DPS, but I am very interested into the scrimshaw + hellhound no prayer flicking method.
Basic perks in ancient gizmos enough? or do i need bis?.
Using the Mid lvl wiki setup atm and hope it works
Mid level is more than enough!!!
i recommend change enhanced devoted or invigorating by absorvative
I'm actually about to do this, I saw the reddit guide. I want raksha pet..
ive done hm zuk, and I cant even do this boss, it's just a huge mental block for me
Hmm I've got exact same gear apart from the cape am using kiln, and super overs not elders but am chugging food like no tomorrow even when dodging all the mechanics :s any ideas ?
O dont have zuk cape is it still available?
Odd. Question now is would a masterwork spear work just as well for the bladed dice for pools? I still need the zuk cape but otherwise I aave everything
No, You need a Halberd melee weapon(range of 2), Scythe, Lance, Laniakea, Matsuta(2-3m) etc...
@@TruNemesis thanks didn't realize that those 2 spears had the range bonus like scythe and Lance. Learn something new every day I guess
would vestments work for this? will it hurt more?
It would probably hurt a lot more but I dont see how it couldnt work
Can you specify what perks you place on your armor/weapons? Thank you.
finally... i got a kill at raksha today with similar layout, just missing a gloves but nonetheless got ~ 5-6m kills
also pet at 5kc...
thanks for this guide. and as always for shouting out the people who made the guide and that youre making it into video.
wish it was magic haha I'm still lacking on melee gear. oh well. guess I cant just ride the cryptbloom train to AFKville at EVERY boss hahaha.
It might be possible to do with cryptbloom but I have no idea. Perhapd something I can test myself and come up with in the future
is this possible without the zuk cape?
Doesn't animate dead work with trimmed masterwork? I feel like that would be helpful..
Nope, it doesn't. Animate dead only works on magic tank armor. Trimmed MW is melee power armor
Is zuk cape 1000% required? I have all the other stuff just not zuk cape
Id say go try but it makes a huge difference imo
Hey I know crayonz. He's on world 62 all the time.
Does it require zuk Cape 😭
What if I have everything except dark ice sliver? Think a drygore mace would just as well if it’s the only sub?
Crap nvm, don’t have the Zuk cape either ):
If you dont have the sliver u would have to place destroy where hurricane is. You can try, the same goes for without the zuk cape. It might kinda work but you will have slower kill times and likely will need to eat more food
@@ProtoxxGaming right. I figured the off hand wouldn’t be that big of a deal. But the Zuk cape and it’s effect on abilities would make a major difference I’d imagine. That’s just a guess though 🤷🏻♂️
