The Westbrook-George duo was short-lived, but a very strong and wonderful duo.
Nothing like him and KD but not a bad Duo at all
It was too bad they literally didn’t put any shooters around them. People always act like that was a good team and they just fell short but really it was a bad team with PG and Russ averaging 60 and still barely winning.
Then Dame Dolla humbled them.

I remember this game. That OKC team was so fun to watch its so disappointing how much they underachievied though
The team wasn’t really that good. People don’t realize how much they lacked shooting besides PG. Him or Russ had to put up 40 every night for it to be close.

@@jakekunz5168 exactly! I realized it being a huge fan of PG but they still didn't meet even the smallest expectations in the playoffs apparently
They got a 8 winning streak in the end of January which could really turn around their season, however Robseron's injury kill their momentum and toughness since then.
@@lpy1102 yea I thought they could at least be competitive in the playoffs if Roberson didn't get hurt. People forget how good defensively he was

Classic Westbrook game ender. He was brilliant and then had a mental lapse that let the game get away. Harris was his man, he was chasing him at the beginning of the play, but for some reason, he stopped below the basket and stopped guarding. He just let Harris alone until the shot.

The moment Barton pushed Grant on the floor had blocked his sight to his man (Gary Harris) to guard, I don't think that's completely his fault, but he should get close to his man body a little bit more.
He guessed that the nuggets were going for two which they did but harris got open dont talk about bball if you dont anything about it
he was 1 rebound shy of a triple double so no wonder his man was left wide open

Westbrook/George duo were another iconic pair to have witnessed for a few more years. That was a very elite duo not to mention carmelo anthony also playing with them

Who notice that Westbrook had recorded 21 ast this game? Dude actually play really effiecent in that game with Melo and Paul George, that is a underachieved trio however they do need Roberson defense to reach higher.

what do you mean? Harris was supposed to be guarded by Westbrook but Russ stopped at the base of the basket entirely left Harris who went to the corner then up to get Jokic's pass. Russ didnt know where he was until the shot was up.

The Westbrook-Paul George experiment was a huge failure but there were definitely some highly entertaining games in those two Thunder seasons.

@@abrowne153 Melo still wanted to get the minutes of a star, he played in crunch time even when he got exposed by mitchell every time.
@@abrowne153 This was Melo first season out of NY so people weren't expecting him to fall off so badly. PG was 3rd in MVP voting this year and the Thunder had a top 5 defense. Not to mention Westbrook just came off a MVP season. There's no reason they shouldn't have gone deeper into the playoffs.
