Watching a reviewing of a device that does NOT work is a new experience for me.

Cisco 8800 and 7800 series phones come in 3 flavours. The normal (enterprise) models which only work with Cisco Call Manager, MPP(multi-platform) which works with specific providers, and the 3PCC(3rd party call control) which works with virtually any system. Keep in mind the full model numbers when purchasing.
The models are indicated with a “MPP” or “3PCC” at the end, for models that don’t require Cisco Unified Communications Manager (aka, Call Manager).

The Cisco 8841 will work with 10 lines in it's Enhanced Mode. This is definite function when using these phones on a CUCM (Cisco Unified Communication Manager) system. I'm not sure that you can run in Enhanced Mode when running the phones MPP (Multiplatform Phone) firmware on another vendor's phone system though. All and all... it's a decent phone with good reliability. I do find the UI a bit "laggy" at times though. Thanks for the review! Great stuff as always.

Thanks so much for that insight Kutulu369. I was wondering, why in the world does this thing have 10 SIP account keys, but advertised EVERYWHERE as 5 lines? What's the catch? haha. Thank you for watching the video and for the kind comment. 😊

To view the Home Screen on the phone you need to register the phone with a phone system through the web gui

Hi there. We tried that, but after talking with our contacts at Cisco we confirmed the issue I was having is a known issue, and we literally couldn't get past the screen without more evasive tech support, so we just decided to ROLL WITH THE REVIEW!
