As an Oilers fan I’ve enjoyed your guy’s analysis and insights. It’s missed a few important things about the particular styles match-up in this series but many of your points are good as is your passion. So thank you and I appreciate it. whats your take on why the panthers almost collapsed in the third? got too comfortable? oilers' death throws? kinda has me worried going into game 4 that the oilers figured something out
@@swarmXto use a boxing analogy the Panthers play like a power puncher that throws their entire weight into every punch. They will overwhelm most opponents with their forecheck but if they play a team that can stand up to their pressure they’re quite exposed with several guys up the ice. Florida has won the statistical battle the last couple of games and has under performed on the score sheet how they have played. And Edmonton has gotten some what I would call “once in a series” goals from their role players. They have benefited from getting them all in two games. Edmonton has been beating the offensive zone trap essentially with three different “counter punching” plays that also leave them with only a couple of guys back. So they are risking odd man break downs in their own zone if they make mistakes with the puck. Florida looks like they have adjust to one of those plays. If they can adjust to the other two Edmonton could be in trouble in game seven. Basically what I’m saying is that if Florida can keep their heads and continue to improve they have a very good shot at winning in game seven regardless of what has happened in the last three games.
You’ll see if Florida’s coaches can find an answer to the way Edmonton exiting their zone game 7 will be a very hard fought a fair and entertaining afraid.
@@owengg17 i appreciate the objectivity knowing youre an oilers fan. but i havent really seen them improve on any of those areas over the last few games. its been the same issue w/ horrible turnovers, and bob just being mediocre again. their post game pressers also leave a lot to be desired. they dont look angry or fail show any passion or emotion aside from complete apathy. the moment seems to be too big for them. this collapse is going to set this team back. all the good faith theyve accumulated...gone. i know i wont stay. 30 years of heartache culminating to this?
