Volkswagen Golf Water Leak │ New Again Water Leaks Found

🌀 This Volkswagen Golf came in for our water leak procedure, and we found water had leaked into the front and rear footwells as well as a lot of water in the boot where the spare wheel is kept. We discovered a leak from the door membranes - especially the speakers which weren't put back in properly - and from the rear air vents. We then dried out the car, took apart the leakage areas and fixed them to prevent further leakage. We also gave the car a refurbishment to give it that new again feel.

Q: How much does it cost?
A: We don't know. That's why we do a diagnostic inspection. We cannot answer the question of how much it costs to fix before we know the extent of the problem. Prices for our inspection and hourly rates can be found on our website.
Q: Why don't you show us how to fix it?
A: This isn't a DIY channel, we are sharing videos we take for the customer as part of our inspection process. Furthermore, the vast majority of the fixes are simple, and if you need to ask how to fix them, you probably should let a professional deal with it. See below:

⚡ Electricity and water is a dangerous combination. This is especially the case with electric and hybrid cars, but most modern cars have electronic control units in areas which are prone to water ingress. These are easily damaged and can be expensive to replace.
💥 Areas that need to be accessed to fix water leaks may contain airbags. These are explosive and can be quite sensitive. Tampering with them could lead to serious injury.
☣️ Cars that have been damp for a prolonged period often contain mould, mildew and dangerous bacteria. Mould spores can seriously affect the health of people with asthma, the old, very young, and people with compromised immune systems. Mould should always be taken seriously.

Holy hell do some of these vw 's leak bad. This is a wild amount of water with so many different areas of potential intrusion. More leaks than my 20 year old convertible lol.

We are based in Chelmsford, Essex. There isn't an average price, we do an inspection then give you a report with a detailed estimate.

Hello, how are you my friend? I have a Volkswagen Golf MK3, 1993 model, and it has a sunroof. When I washed the car, water appeared inside the car. The reason is the sunroof water drainage channels, and the water was coming out from under the fuse box inside the car. Do I have to open the dashboard? I hope you can show me the water channel so I can follow it.

It sounds like you need to replace the drainage pipes and connectors. As they age, the pipes shrink in length, the connectors become brittle and the drain can become blocked.
Unfortunately, we can't show how to do this. Perhaps there is a DIY channel on RUclips that can. This channel is just a repository of information on where to find leaks, not how to fix them.
